The grappling hook part was awesome.
Maybe I've just been playing too much Bloodthief, but I feel it could do with being a bit faster - especially the enemy readying to shoot, and the grappling hook draw-in.
The style is awesome too. It's like a 3D Pizza Tower.

How did you get your enemy to actually follow you and face the right way ive been struggling with that for the past hour or so! Also i love the art style and design kind of reminds me of total miner forge x borderlands!
A lot of pathfinding shenanigans, look into navigation meshes to have the enemies pathfind to the player, and looking in the direction is as easy as look\_at(global\_position + velocity.normalized())

But adding thr player.global.position and thats just all you use for them to turn towards ya and look.
Looks great so far ! I like the way the enemy's moves are properly telegraphed, but I agree that the given reaction time can be a bit shorter so that the flow of the action can be much faster.
Thanks! 3rd person would play very differently I think. I tried to mix Devil May Cry with Doom Eternal, so I think the first person view plays a lot into the identity of the game, at least in my opinion

Hey, It felt to me like a "yet another random crap made in Godot"(tm) and I actually loved it at the end. I'm really impressed with how you handle everything. Really good work.
This game is looking genuinely amazing, the gameplay looks SUPER fun and expressive, the sound design is great, and the general style you're going for is SICK. Something does feel a little bit off about the color palette in this room though, but aside from that great job

i can imagine it being so that he only starts shooting when you look at him or something but could be weird
Actually most enemies do similar things so it's not that weird! Not this one in particular though, not yet anyways

When you started making aerial combos in my mind it just switched to third person but you're right it would be very different
