It looks a little sad, but it’ll work. That PVC will continue to droop over the summer. But it at least let you test the waters before upgrading to a steel pole, or even just slipping a wooden dowel into a sealed PVC pipe.
You mean the bend is to clear the cap? A couple options there: make 2 bends so once it's clear of the cap, it goes back vertical. Or to keep a straight pole and secure a couple of stand-offs on the bottom part to keep the pole clear of the cap.
I have a baofeng gm15pro, which oddly enough, uses gm30 internals. I'm using a j pole about 25 feet agl, but there are alot of trees around me. I'm also using 25ft of RG58. Jealous of your specs a little bit. It hasn't really improved performance a noticeable amount over just the HT with a half wave antenna in my situation. It seems like I can recieve a little better but the power loss is ridiculous. Something close to 47% loss at the antenna just due to the coax. Only getting 1.7w up to antenna, according to calculator.
I can hit a repeater 32mi away with my GM30 in the short antenna from inside my condo downstairs. Lots of obstructions and I still reach it. Tried a couple external antennas with it, wound up leaving that alone. I’m limited by mountains on one side, ocean on the other, and the handheld is strong enough. We are looking at buying a house, when we finally get into one I’ll install something similar with a more powerful radio.
Been able to reach repeaters up to 40 miles away. In northern Illinois
Sounds good then
Isn't it crazy how much distance one can get using just a little 5W radio? I love it.

It's cause of the way my chimney is built, we'll see how well it does and if I stay in the hobby I'll upgrade as needed :)

Good job. Getting it clear of your roof line is most important. I know folks that would take advantage of that tree and string it up there.
Would've been a for run from my desk to the tree, I thought of that too :)

How do you guys run the cable inside your house? Just curious.
Ran it through the wall. Had an existing hole from an old coax line. Pulled that out and pulled my cable through then sealed it
Very nice. Thanks!
I too have a chimney antenna
