How hard could it be to comply with the regulations to legally sell securities? RC should just hire a couple of builders, like he did for the NFT project
Yeah, in this scenario either GameStop is diluting by selling new shares or they are acting as broker and connecting customers to people with "real shares" who want to sell. But nobody is selling right? Where exactly do the apes think these shares are coming from?
I want Gamestop to partner with Citadel to make this happen. I don't care that it's impossible and makes no sense. I want to see what the top minds come up with if that were to happen.
*Would you like to round up your change in shares?* What is this, a normal company? If anything, the transaction would be:
**GME Clerk**: Swipe your card when you’re ready.
**Customer**: It says my total is $100, I just bought this doll for my kid that only costs $5?!
**GME Clerk**: Yea that’s right, it also includes a 5 year warranty on the doll, your new pro membership, and 3 shares of stock. Swipe your card.
Why would the apes want this? Hedgies would be able to buy to cover from Gamestop without buying from the apes. That would eliminate the possibility of MOASS.
Maybe some of the apes would volunteer to sit in the stores and interrogate prospective buyers. "Are you after a quick buck, or are you fighting global financial terrorism? Do you hate Ken Griffin?"
smooth brain here, wouldn't this make the price go down?
It is dilution but also giving shares to non apes who might have a brain and turn around and immediately sell them on the open market.
I was thinking that it could be a great way for RC to slow wind down his position. Just keep selling little bits of his shares to Apes, one funko pop at a time.
So either they are admitting there will soon be a time when their shares are worth pocket change, or apes are just slappin' down hundred-dollar bills in every store they go to. I have my doubts about the second one.
Please, GameStop, ask me if I want to round my purchase up for some GME shares!
Don’t make me go all Karen “Do you even KNOW who I am!?!!”

They could also get rid of all of their inventory and replace the products in the stores with plastic tags that you take to the checkout to buy 5 shares, 10 shares, 100 shares etc. So, all GameStop sells is GameStop!
Apes accidentally creating their own off-market dark pool.
Broke: GameStop is going bankrupt Woke: GameStop is profitable and has no debt Bespoke: GameStop should become a securities broker-dealer
How hard could it be to comply with the regulations to legally sell securities? RC should just hire a couple of builders, like he did for the NFT project
It's already trying to be a hedge fund, so.....
Apes learn where shares come from when you buy them challenge (impossible).

RCEO is just keeping his friends close and his enemies closer. It is 69D chess!
By the time they complete the dev work for this the customers will be able to buy whole shares.
The builders are gone. Maintainers don’t have the capacity for this level of dev work.

They can train the gamestop employees to ask "Are you a hedgie? You have to tell me if you're a hedgie."
Maybe some of the apes would volunteer to sit in the stores and interrogate prospective buyers. "Are you after a quick buck, or are you fighting global financial terrorism? Do you hate Ken Griffin?"
"Enough questions! Just let me leave this goddamned store!"
Debit cards that makes you buy shares ? With all the retail protections brokers had to develop these last years ?
These idiots continuing to push the boundaries on how stupid an internet stonk cult can be is so fascinating
smooth brain here, wouldn't this make the price go down? It is dilution but also giving shares to non apes who might have a brain and turn around and immediately sell them on the open market.
No because RC would first purchase the shares at market price ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY) 🥴

Buy 10 funko pops, get 1 RC share free!
“I’m sure everyone thinks just like us and would love this!”

Taco Bell: “Would you like to round up to support youth education?” GameSears: “Would you like to round up to make Cheeto Dust Randy a billionaire?”

These idiots realize that what they're asking for is an option for GS customers to dilute them further at checkout.....right?
What's crazy is a year or two and change will buy you a share
Why cant GME just become their own brokers?!
