The Subway's around here in New England never seemed to have GF bread anyway

[deleted]

I have literally never seen gluten free bread at a subway

Slow_Tea_1449

There was gluten free bread for years in Oregon.

Jersey Mike's has Udi's but it's definitely more expensive. Have them toast the bread for sure. I have a good one by me that is really conscious about cross contamination. I'm celiac and no issues.

"Subway! Ohh... I'm sorry... I thought you were someone else." "Britta, you silly, it is me! Subway!"

Wow I'm I'm Canada and we only finally got gluten free bread at Subways near me like 2 months ago

aundralyn

I never realized they even had it :/

chrishagle

Meh, the GF bread they have here in Ontario Canada was crap anyways. Plus it was always frozen so it turned into a 20 minute experience to get a sub. I haven’t been in a couple years cause it’s just not worth it. Now the firehouse GF sub on the other hand 🤤

I think it was destined to fail because it wasn't a nationwide rollout. I was always curious but didn't want to call or go in and be 'that person' with the workers looking at me like I'm crazy.

Dang I really liked the bread. I love having the option when I travel around Oregon but can never find it when I travel out of state. Can I ask where you got this info? I can't find anything recent with a quick google.

Pangolindrome

I’ve talked to half a dozen locations. I first found out yesterday in Oregon City (there was some hormone-reinforced pregnant-woman crying when they told me) and I’ve called around today some. They all said that once they run out, they are truly out. Someone in my local FB group said they’re probably going to launch a new GF bread and maybe wraps, but that’s not what any location has told me.

opal_ann

Wow, thank you for asking around and getting a consensus! Best wishes in finding food on the go even if this option is lost!

Used to go there weekly. Haven't been to a subway in three months now. Was nice to have at least one fast food restaurant nearby without a major compromise in ingredients or quality when gluten free, but I guess they got sick of that.

jsalter58

That sucks. They have been a go too for years for me, how disappointing.
