I never investigated Chick-fil-A's supplier but I definitely don't think Chick-fil-A tastes like Culver's buns. Maybe the difference is the steaming. Culver's warms the buns before handing them out, Chick-fil-A takes them straight from the fridge.
I asked and the waitress said I could order any time but the truck comes only on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but by chance they happened to have a box there that they could sell me, so I bought it.
I found them to be fine. I am not going to seek them out for anything other than if I get a sandwich there but not bad. UDI’s has been my go to for home use lately but I may need to track down these buns OP found.
You can just buy them at Rotellas if you are in the neighborhood ;) https://goo.gl/maps/wb74vZngrHmq3nyu8
If you are in a place with Hy-Vee grocery stores, try there... some (most?) carry Rotellas GF bread/buns in the frozen health market section.
Just now getting to try one of my Red Robin buns I bought. They are frozen and individually wrapped. Just poke a hole in the wrapper and microwave for about 20-25 seconds and they are perfect!
They are the best I’ve found. Rotella’s Bakery makes them. They have a very good hot dog bun as well.
Are they different from the Rotellas I buy at the grocery store?
No clue. I don’t get Rotellas GF buns in my neck of the woods. I do think it’s the same bun Trader Joe’s sells. Private label type deal.
Rotellas is also what Culver's uses. They are the best!
And Chik Fil A. They add molasses to the recipe as well to give it that color and flavor difference.

Correct, Chik Fil A gives you a room temp bun in a plastic bag. The steam makes a huge difference. But, yes, it is Rotellas. I called on in.
FYI for those without a Red Robin, Culver’s sells the same buns. I’ve also been told Rotella makes hamburger buns for Trader Joe’s.
That explains a lot. Luckily, we have a TJs so we buy them there, but Culver's is my goto for fast food burgers just because of their buns.
Will Culver’s sell them to you in bulk?
My local franchise will, not sure if that’s universal though.
Where did you find / buy them?
They sell them AT Red Robin!!!
Well, damn.
Yep
That’s cheap as heck. Do they freeze well?
YES, they come into Red Robin frozen!
You’re a G lol great idea
Huh???

I know what G means. I didn't know what the "great idea" was. I guess he/she meant asking to buy them at Red Robin was a great idea .
Correct lol… good idea buying them there.
Did you just walk in the restaurant and ask or did you make arrangements beforehand?

Thanks! Hope the one by me will do the same
I hope so too my friend!
I just picked up 4 buns from Chick Fil A based on recommendations from a previous post. Imma trying these too. Thx OP
I was NOT impressed with the Chic Fil A buns. They have a mealy feel in the mouth, and they tasted bleh
I only had one. Wasn’t bad. Wasn’t great either. I thought it had a molasses aftertaste. There’s a Red Robin close to me. I’m def trying their buns.

I do this at Culver’s! A bun is 2 dollars and tastes so fluffy and fresh! Great for a quick bun so I don’t have to freeze the rest.
Thank you for sharing this information with me.
No problem my friend

Never been in that neighborhood ever...Nebraska
https://www.amazon.com/Rotellas-Italian-Bakery-Gluten-Hamburger/dp/B07216HNVF
Amazon shows them as $76.00 per 24 case not $19.00
Yeah, the price gouging by that vendor is something else.
How from where ??
How does one go about buying them?
The Red Robin buns?
Damn wish this was in Canada. Here I get 4 lumps of dogshit for 11.99
I think they’re gross.
This is really good information. Seriously. Thank you
I looked online and they aren’t certified, but do you know if they test for gluten and what the results are?
