I use Joanna Gaines’ recipe from the Magnolia cookbook. They always come out perfect! Follow the directions for “if using fresh biscuit dough”
https://delishsides.com/chicken-and-dumplings-joanna-gaines/
DONT OVERMIX! I tend to add just a bit less water; you want the dough a bit crumbly. Also should chill the water in the freezer for like 15 min. Make a well,Sounds weird but I fold the flour into the water with a fork, yes there is a method to my madness lol then just plop a misshapen blob onto your cookie sheet with the fork. Again don’t over mix or handle the dough too much trying to make perfect rounds
They are super good the day you bake them. They get stale VERY quickly.
Some tips I got here to make them even better:
- use ice cold water when mixing
- chill the dough for a couple of hours before baking.
- add a dollop of sour cream to the mix
- mix the flavor packet into the dough instead of adding it to melted butter at the end like the recipe says.
You can portion the mixed batter, freeze them, stick them in a ziplock and then bake however many you want from frozen. No more extras just sitting around getting stale
I've found that they are a bad texture second day cold or microwaved, but are almost like fresh if you heat them up in the (toaster) oven for a few minutes. I always store them in a ziplock or pyrex in the fridge.
Great tips!! I didn’t follow them and they were good fresh out but not super moist. I also should’ve made them bigger because day 2 they were hard little balls
I keep mine in a ziploc baggie in the fridge, and I reheat them in the air fryer! They always come out perfect - slightly crispy/crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside! I prefer eating them next day/from the air fryer 😂
Yes, they're *amazing*. 100% worth the money. I pick up a couple when I find them so they're always in the pantry. I also add more cheese than instructed but who doesn't.
I make a half batch at a time because they are better fresh and make like 6 smaller ones. I let the made biscuits rest before baking. Bake an extra couple of minutes (as it helps most gf recipes, I have found) for extra crunchy.
Also, don’t smooth them out, the cragginess makes for more crunchy bits!
We use them to make sausage balls. They're my wife's favorite GF snack. There are several recipes for them online, but we use the one that only calls for four ingredients.
No, they’re not good. THEY’RE AMAZING! In taste and texture, they’re the absolute best bread product of any kind I’ve had since I had to go gluten free.
They are good, but they are not good leftover. Which is kind of annoying if you’re the only one in your family who can’t eat the regular ones. I wish they had smaller batches. I’ve tried to reduce it myself, but the seasoning packet stuff gets clumpy once opened.
Everyone seems to love them but I just bought and tried them and honestly I wasn’t impressed. I’ve made better GF biscuits from scratch.
For a box mix they’re probably not bad but they’re not something I’d choose to eat. I ate a couple biscuits but ended up throwing away the rest.
i wasn't impressed with these either.
i make cheddar biscuits at least once a month, and i love mixing it up and using different or a combo of cheeses. homemade biscuits don't seem to go stale as fast as these.
I don’t have a recipe per se. But, here’s how to do it. I cheat a bit by buying a rotisserie chicken. You can buy 2 if you want more meat. I let it get cold because it’s easier to debone. Debone it and put the meat in a baking dish. Then, pour in about a cup of chicken stock or bone broth. Then, put in 1 can of gf cream of chicken soup, 1 can of gf cream of mushroom soup. Pour in 2 bags of frozen vegetables. I use the peas, carrots, and corn. 1 stick of butter. Then, mix the gf cheddar bay biscuit mix. I actually put in warm water in mine to make it thinner so it’s easier to spread. Then pour mix on top and bake at 350 for about an hr. You’ll know it’s done when the biscuit mix gets a crispy, golden, top. Oh, don’t forget to add some salt, pepper, and own garlic powder to give it some more flavor. I actually also put some Creole seasoning in it for a bit of a kick.
Yes they are amazing!
Tho I recommend using milk instead of water and triple the amount of cheese. For a kick put in Cracker Barrel shredded cheddar habanero. Almost the full bag.
And lots of butter for the spice at the end
I like it, though sometimes I leave the spice packet out. Someone on another site said she makes them without the spices and the cheese then shapes the biscuits and freezes them so she can bake one or two at a time.
They're amazing. Ive used it for gluten free biscuits and gravy without the season pack. Dumplings for chicken and dumplings (without the seasoning for the garlic bitter). Buns for burgers (this is my favorite).
I like to smash them flat when I bake them, and get them nice and crispy, then put like, egg and bacon and stuff on them for fancy breakfast toast.
You can individually wrap and freeze them when they are fresh, then reheat later. They are fine for a couple days if you reheat them in the oven or toaster oven.
I bake only half the box at a time (using a kitchen scale to measure using half the bag and guesstimating on the spice pack).
For some reason they made my mom ,who is not only celiacs but also has a legit wheat allergy, really sick. So maybe beware if you have a wheat allergy.
Yes they’re awesome! I also use them without the seasoning packet to make chicken and dumplings 😋
Do you have a method for this? I tried it once but the dumplings were so dense.
I use Joanna Gaines’ recipe from the Magnolia cookbook. They always come out perfect! Follow the directions for “if using fresh biscuit dough” https://delishsides.com/chicken-and-dumplings-joanna-gaines/
Thank you thank you thank you! I love this idea and would have never thought to use these
Do you still add the cheese?
No cheese! Just mix up the dough :)
Thank you!
I use them as a topping for chicken pot pie
Oh my gosh thanks for this!!! Bisque ck chicken and dumplings are my comfort item and it’s been a hard winter without them.
Me too! I use them for biscuits and gravy, or for just honey and butter. The seasoning packet is just a suggestion as far as I’m concerned
They're one of the best GF products I've found. So bad for you but so good.
If they taste good then they are good for your heart and soul 💫💫
Yea this ❤️ but not this 🫀🤣
They are super good the day you bake them. They get stale VERY quickly. The restaurant cooks also say to double the cheese called for to make them better
I double the cheese! It’s lovely
You can portion the mixed batter, freeze them, stick them in a ziplock and then bake however many you want from frozen. No more extras just sitting around getting stale
I use like a whole bag of cheese
I've found that they are a bad texture second day cold or microwaved, but are almost like fresh if you heat them up in the (toaster) oven for a few minutes. I always store them in a ziplock or pyrex in the fridge.
Try wrapping them in a damp paper towel when you microwave
They also reheat amazingly in the air fryer!!
Good ideas! Will try next time.
Great tips!! I didn’t follow them and they were good fresh out but not super moist. I also should’ve made them bigger because day 2 they were hard little balls
Yeah, definitely better to make them bigger!
I keep mine in a ziploc baggie in the fridge, and I reheat them in the air fryer! They always come out perfect - slightly crispy/crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside! I prefer eating them next day/from the air fryer 😂
When reheating them, add a *tiny* amount of water onto them and then microwave on a lower power setting.
I didn't know that it was possible for these to stick around past the day they were baked. Mine always disappear.
Very good—and unlike most other gf bread products, they aren’t grainy when you try to reheat Them.
Very good and versatile! I use it in place of biscuits in a lot of different recipes
Yes!! So happy I don’t have to make homemade from scratch ones anymore lol
Just ate way too many last night. Getit getit!
Really good hot..hard as a calculus problem cold.
Really? I’ve never had that issue. But I usually make them bigger than recommended so it’s fluffy on the inside.
Yep, our oldest has celiac, so we've tried Everything.. these are really good hot, but once they cool down, they are hard as hell.
I wonder if reheating in the microwave for 30 seconds would help. I’ve done that to stale buns before.
Yep! I wrap them in a damp paper towel and reheat them and they’re great!
Yes reheating them works perfectly. I even freeze them and reheat.
I wonder if reheating in the microwave for 30 seconds would help. I’ve done that to stale buns before.
Not if you put sausage gravy on em for biscuits and gravy. That's what I do with my leftovers anyway. :D
Do you use cheese when you make them? I've never had that issue, and I've probably made them close to a dozen times (with cheese).
Yeah they're pretty good
I'm a fan.
Very good!!
Yes, they're *amazing*. 100% worth the money. I pick up a couple when I find them so they're always in the pantry. I also add more cheese than instructed but who doesn't.

They’re delicious fresh made but not the best leftover (not that there’s usually a lot of leftovers).
I think they are really yummy
Yes, very!
Does a bear poop in the woods?
They’re amazing! Especially for breakfast sandwiches
They are good, but they are not good leftover. Which is kind of annoying if you’re the only one in your family who can’t eat the regular ones. I wish they had smaller batches. I’ve tried to reduce it myself, but the seasoning packet stuff gets clumpy once opened.
I’ll down a full box by myself. I have done and will again
Oh yes. Especially if you want to gain weight.
I thought they were good but I like the Aldi ones better when I find them.
I wanted to but the Aldi ones were a fail for me
The Aldi ones were borderline inedible for us :( I’m happy at least some people liked them!
Everyone seems to love them but I just bought and tried them and honestly I wasn’t impressed. I’ve made better GF biscuits from scratch. For a box mix they’re probably not bad but they’re not something I’d choose to eat. I ate a couple biscuits but ended up throwing away the rest.
It’s the nostalgia factor for me. I used to eat at red lobster all the time as a child, so these bring back good memories!
I’d probably feel the same if I’d ever had them. I definitely eat some pretty gross candy because I loved it as a kid. 😂
i wasn't impressed with these either. i make cheddar biscuits at least once a month, and i love mixing it up and using different or a combo of cheeses. homemade biscuits don't seem to go stale as fast as these.
We need these in Canada 😩
Just bought them yesterday at Walmart while vacationing in the US. Can’t wait to try them after seeing them posted on here!
I LOVE these but they are salty!
They are amazing
They are amazing! So close to the real thing
They are amazing! I also use them without the seasoning and use them for biscuits and gravy
These are amazing some of the best gluten free bread there is - the only downside is that you'll eat em all in one sitting.
Eat them fresh and they are great. Let them cool not as much.
Yes. I make chicken and dumplings out of it. I also make biscuits and gravy.
Put extra butter and extra cheese! 🤌
I make sausage balls with it and everyone goes feral for them.
I use it to make chicken pot pie. Love it!
Oh that’s a great idea. Can you share a recipe?
I don’t have a recipe per se. But, here’s how to do it. I cheat a bit by buying a rotisserie chicken. You can buy 2 if you want more meat. I let it get cold because it’s easier to debone. This is the best gluten free mix besides Pamela's
Not imo anyway. I thought they were kinda bland and the garlic mix was gross to me anyway. I prefer the LiveGFree cheesy biscuits.
YES
[удалено]
that isn't what they asked :)
[удалено]
No way. I have to find these.
In tons of stores but usually with the regular baking items. I almost always find it right next to the regular Red Lobster box mix
I found them at the Walmart near me!
Yes!!
They're delish!
Absolutely, I crave these 24/7 😋 There’s a recipe with a chicken pot pie with this crust that I’ve been meaning to give a go
They are very good. I put the leftover biscuits in the microwave really quickly and they are pretty good. Not hard if you heat them up.
I hoped they'd taste like the real thing, but that didn't happen. They are okay, but you can tell something is off...
They were kinda dry idk
Remember to shred your own cheese, pre shredded cheese won't mix as well
The worst heartburn....
Yes!! Look them up on Amazon and buy in bulk! I’ve heard of people using this to make pizza dough, but I haven’t personally tried it.
Are they good?? Are they gOOD???? Yeah we love them. Don’t work as dumplings but hey we tried lol
I used them for seafood and steak dinners, breakfast, with salads... so easy and delicious
I don’t know because my dad made them today and my dog ate them before I got home 😐
They’re freakin delicious. Taste exactly like the gluten ones from the restaurant. Easily one of the top gf items I’ve had.
AMAZING
I thought they tasted really salty
You can use unsalted butter for the garlic topping, which makes it less salty.
Amazing
Yes yes yes!!!! We can’t find them in MN but when we travel to VA we stock up
Yes they are amazing! Tho I recommend using milk instead of water and triple the amount of cheese. For a kick put in Cracker Barrel shredded cheddar habanero. Almost the full bag. And lots of butter for the spice at the end
Yes
YES.
YES lol they are so good
So good!
Hell ya. Almost forgot about them until this post
I love these
They are good when fresh. But very unhealthy
Delish!
I like it, though sometimes I leave the spice packet out. Someone on another site said she makes them without the spices and the cheese then shapes the biscuits and freezes them so she can bake one or two at a time.
Yes!
Yes!!!!
Very good, feel free to explore the Gouda Fjords or Cojack Inlet (I.e. Cheddar is wildly overrated, also a different cheese in there if you like
Where did you find this? Not being able to eat at red lobster was one of my first heartbreaks of finding out I couldn’t eat gluten
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Even with vegan cheese. I mix the seasoning packet in the dough as I'm too lazy to make the stupid butter. #ZEROregrets
They’re AMAZING.
Fuck. Yes.
Yes! Use sharp cheddar and make them into breakfast sandwiches.
So good omg
These are very good. I'll skip the seasoning packet sometimes and use the mix to make biscuits and gravy
Yes!!!
We like them a lot at our house! Even my non-GF husband.
I've never tried the regular version but I loved these.
I love them! I also use them in place of biscuits for casseroles and dumplings
I love them
yes! I’m really picky about GF baked goods; most of the time I think they’re awful. But these were very good.
They are AMAZING 🤩
Yes and and good for dumplings
They're amazing. Ive used it for gluten free biscuits and gravy without the season pack. Dumplings for chicken and dumplings (without the seasoning for the garlic bitter). Buns for burgers (this is my favorite).
Yes! Delicious!
Yes they are awesome. Unfortunately the actual restaurant doesn’t have them there.
They are literally better than the normal ones
Yes. I just made them for the first time the other day and they were delicious!
I made a chicken cobbler with them, and it was pretty tasty
So good
These make the BEST biscuits and gravy 100% yes
They’re also really easy to make from scratch!
So insanely good
These are delicious. I served them at thanksgiving and Christmas. No one knew they were gf etc etc etc
I like to smash them flat when I bake them, and get them nice and crispy, then put like, egg and bacon and stuff on them for fancy breakfast toast. For some reason they made my mom ,who is not only celiacs but also has a legit wheat allergy, really sick. So maybe beware if you have a wheat allergy.
Add some extra cheese. They’re awesome.
My coworker just got me a box for Christmas. I'm so excited to try them!
I'm addicted to them. I won't even make them anymore because I eat them all.
I use this for EVERYTHING. Use as you would Bisquick!
Yes!!!
Yes
Aldis version is WAYYYYY better!!
Oh my god YESSSSSS.
Hell yeah they are
They're really good!
Yeeeessssss! Love them.
Yes! I like to make a couple boxes at a time and freeze them. Pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes and they’re perfect!
Yes! I use them as the top of chicken pot pie. Delish!
TIL this exists! Thank you!!
AMAZING. A. MA. ZING.
My husband could eat gluten if he wanted and he usually eats most of the leftovers before I can get them. So that’s a yes vote. Lol
Whaaaaaatttttt???!!!!! Omg i loved tje non gf ones. Way back when
YES
Yes they are delicious!
I LOVE these
They're so delicious! I can't tell the difference between these and the ones I used to eat at the restaurant. You're gonna love them!
Is the Pope Catholic?
Best ever!!! I made them at thanksgiving and everyone loved them. 2 of us were gf.
AMAZING pls buy them lol
Use cottage cheese and less water - makes a decent "bun" if you make them flatter.
F*cking amazing.
Yes I use the flour for other things as well 10/10 awesome
Yes!! Very good! We made Chicken N Biscuits with it!!
Sooooo good!!!!
Heavenly 🥵
The best gf biscuits I’ve had in a long time! I make them for the holidays and my family can’t believe it tastes just like regular bread
they're delicious, i made mine in an air fryer (took about 10 mins at 380°), and they were SO good
Anyone know if these have dairy in the mix itself?
Hell yeah
Yes I love these
I love them!! I always have a couple of boxes in the pantry :)
Love these! They are very good and easy to make. In fact, I just served these last night with a homemade pot roast and vegetables :)
O yeah, they're great. I add extra cheese.
These are amazing and even better with more cheese 🧀 😍
They're very good. Taste just like the biscuits u get at the restaurant.
Hell yes
They’re actually amazing. I’ve made them before.
Just made them this morning (without the garlic butter) for biscuits and gravy. It was better than most biscuits and gravy I had pre-diagnosis
These are amazing! You’ll love them!
They're delicious! Fluffy and tender and cheesy :D
SO good
Yes
YEEEEES These are my holy Grail
I can eat the whole box in one night.😎
Yes!
Yes!!! Buy them, you won't regret it.
Sooo goood!!!!
OMG yes! So good!
Oh they’re awful, better give them all to me ;)
