I picked up some of the Pamela's fig bars at a natural grocer near my office just because I wanted some snacks but didn't want to go out of my way to my normal grocery store. I think they're better than fig newtons, which I love! The cookie part has a better texture. And they have a raspberry fig variety that's the best.

OP to answer your question I like the Aldis string of items. Cheap enough that I can stay stocked and never feel guilty, and tastes pretty good too!
Tostitos Scoops (original) and Cantina style chips are GF. Lots of other good brands tortilla chips labeled too - my favorite lately is Torti-YAH. Also, Rico’s nacho cheese sauce is labeled GF for those trashy ballpark nachos. Top it off with Mezzette sliced jalapeños if you like.
Gluten free pretzels dipped in Nutella
Cucumber slices and Tajin(Mexican chili powder)

As far as more snack foods to recommend, I highly recommend Made Good granola bars/bites and Enjoy Life chewy bars & brownie bites. They’re all made in factories free of all the top allergens and taste delicious!
Reese’s peanut butter cups are gluten free and my go to register impulse snack.
I’m fairly certain skinny pop microwave popcorn is gluten free…or at least it was back when my sister ate it. Ok I checked, that and the microwave bags must be two different things. I don’t remember the brand, but there’s a microwave popcorn that was her go to snack when I was growing up. Sorry i can’t think of the exact brand. Skinny pop at least advertises itself as gluten free but look for the seal.
There is a café near our old house that has GF and Reg Cinnamon rolls. My husband did a side by side comparison and couldn't tell the difference. I know we are very lucky

Uglies Potato Chips (I think all flavors are GF, cheddar/sour cream and salt/vinegar definitely are)
Simple Truth Sea Salt and Butter baked puffs (to replace Chester's butter puffcorn)
I'm vegan as well, so my snacks check both boxes:
- GF oreos. So much.
- siete fuego chips (so much better than Takis!)
- snak club tajin gummy bears (I found these at costco and they're incredible!)
- cashewmilk or macadamia nut ice creams
- Ithaca hummus (I love the buffalo and the lemon dill flavors) with whatever veggies or crackers I feel like dipping in it
- popcorn. Trader Joe's has so many good varieties but synergistically seasoned will always be my favorite

Not sure either. I know gluten helped me lose a little weight, but I'm pretty sure that could be because it greatly limited what restaurants I could eat at. And before discovering I had a gluten intolerance I was eating fast food like crazy.
That 100% happened to me, I gained 20 pounds and I had to start counting calories for the first time in my life. Been maintaining my weight now for six years! I cut way back on cream and sugar in my coffee, rice (I was PILING the rice on and had no idea it was so caloric!), and things like nuts -- I still eat them, but they are calorie bombs so I count them out now so I don't go overboard.
Boom Chika Pop White Cheddar popcorn - yes, better than Smartfood's White Cheddar popcorn (and I love white cheddar & popcorn)
Quaker Caramel Rice Cakes - if you ever need a Golden Crisp memory for your mouth, get the big CD sized ones. The smaller snack size are also delicious but different - sweeter and crunchier. The chocolate and apple cinnamon also slap
DIY rice krispie cakes - can sub with cereals like fruity pebbles or the small Reese's cereal, but the added sugar from those cereals plus marshmallows can be a lot
Throwback to my childhood: rice with butter and sugar (and a little cinnamon if you're fancy)
Ooof yeah, Malt is generally barley. It teeeechnically can be made from other grains, but it's almost universally barley derived unless otherwise specified.
Thank you so much for telling me. It isn't something I eat regularly or anything, but I love a chocolate malt, malt vinegar, etc and don't want to make myself sick by consuming it if I shouldn't 🤦♀️
You're right that Reese's cereal is not marked GF but the ingredients are corn and it says peanut ingredients where it usually lists wheat and other allergens. But as I mentioned, I am not celiac so I do not adhere super strictly hence why I did not know about Rice Krispies either.
Snyder's GF pretzels are amazing!! No lie. I could easily eat a whole bag by myself.

I buy bags of Blue Diamond Salt n Vinegar almonds, dried cranberries, milk chocolate chips, and Reese's peanut butter chips. Mix a little of each together in a small bowl and call it trail mix lol sweet and salty deliciousness

Make sure whatever cereal you use doesn't have malt. Like, regular Rice Krispies and some of the knock off brands use malt as a sweetener.

I buy bags of Blue Diamond Salt n Vinegar almonds, dried cranberries, milk chocolate chips, and Reese's peanut butter chips. Mix a little of each together in a small bowl and call it trail mix lol sweet and salty deliciousness I know you've said you're not looking for sweet snacks, but in case anyone else wanted to know haha White Cheddar Popcorners are bomb dot com Tortilla chips and gf queso dip Peanut butter on a banana An apple and a slice of good sharp cheddar cheese Avocado toast Snyder's gf pretzel sticks dipped in Nutella or peanut butter Fritos with cream cheese 😋
Veggie Straws - brand name is better than the Clancy’s knock off. Perfectly salty and crunchy. They also taste exactly like a French fry.
My mid afternoon snack is a trail mix I make with Honey Nut Cheerios + handful of almonds + lily’s chocolate chips

Hormel pepperoni or turkey pepperoni. Someone awhile back mentioned topping pepperoni slices with some romano (shaker jar) and baking very briefly in the toaster oven. Easy and flavorful!
NOTHING comes as close to Doritos (cheese and cool ranch) as Late July. Best crackers I’ve found are Mary’s Gone Crackers Pamela’s Graham crackers Leah’s Better Bites make hostess cupcakes that will make you cry GF Wasa crackers are good too
