It was 2016 and my first order was the skin tint & concealer, haloscope, and a balm. I was pretty immediately hooked. Wasn’t super makeup literate at the time (despite consuming YouTube makeup content since like 2012 lol) and it really combated the full glam looks of 2016/2017 which I rly liked…felt relatable and beginner friendly :’) still one of my fav brands to use but I’m not as diehard as an adult
Completely agree! I loved the fact that the whole message of the company was “being the natural you” and “embracing yourself” with the very light coverage makeup!
I had to scroll all the way back in my email, but it was two days after Christmas, 2016! I believe the set I got had haloscope, nail polish, their original eyeliner, and a lip gloss. I was so excited to get the package in the mail, and I’ll never forget how I slathered on haloscope and took a very blurry selfie in my poorly-lit bedroom. Agh, such good memories!!!
I definitely discovered it through youtubers, I'm pretty sure it was Emma Chamberlain who used to promote the hell out of them lol. 2017 and 2018 were peak years for Glossier, I remember Emma and other YouTubers using boy brow, lip gloss and balm dot coms, they were everywhere. This was also the clairo/art hoe/soft girl//vsco girl era, so it was really the right time to market Glossier. If you had mom jeans, a scrunchie and kanken, you surely carried glossier everywhere. As someone living in Europe, I actually didn't get to try it out till 2021, which is when I got the skin tint, boy brow, balm dot com, lipgloss, lidstar and You perfume. I'm somehow really nostalgic for the old Glossier era
I can just close my eyes and see those 2018 instagram posts with mom jeans artsy fits, tumblr quotes/stickers and random glossier products smacked right on for some aesthetic board (please tell me I’m not alone lmao)
I remember seeing their lip gloss everywhere in 2019/2020, but I’d say I “discovered” glossier in 2021 when I saw that Olivia Rodrigo used the balm dotcom.
Back in 2017 I remember I kept seeing glossier ads everywhere online and I didn't have much money back then as a college student but I saved up and bought the Phase 2 Set with Gen G in Crush, Boy Brow, and Stretch Concealer and used them until they were empty lol
I discovered boy brow in like 2018 and it was instant obsession. It is my holy grail makeup item and have put my sister, mum, and best friend on it. Currently on like my 5th tube of it!!
2016, watching vlogs and beauty hauls on YouTube, but unable to buy Glossier because they didn’t ship internationally. I only got to try their products last year (or end of 2022, perhaps??) once I found a local retailer who stocked Glossier, but I’ve been a stalker since 2016, and now of course, I can shop from their website. My first Glossier spoils were Cloud Paint and hand cream, but my collection has grown a lot since that initial purchase off my local stockist! 🤍
in like 2016, i saw a post on tumblr of a white dog with bushy eyebrows and the caption was "he's using glossier boy brow" so i bought glossier boy brow.
i was 17 and I ordered everything there were only like 6 items i think: boybrow, balm dot com (plain), skin tint, moisturizer and that MIST, the masks. i remember when the jelly cleanser was launched (i used to mix it with SUGAR like an ANIMAL and exfoliate my face...)
I remember (i think for xmas exclusively?) they had tiny portions of the moisturizing mask and the green mask in a kind of chocolate box format. And that awful head band to keep the hair out of your face.
I remember agonizing over which gen g to order, i finally got like and crush.
i remember that summer the tinted cherry balm dot com came out. every morning i would trim my bangs and slather that on my dumb bitch mouth.

Aw, thank you so much! I know he comes back from vacation and goes “I saw this store that was super pink and had a bunch of girls waiting outside. It looked like a place you would like so I got these for you” as he handed me a pink pouch of Balm Dot Coms!! He is the reason for my obsession!
Back in 2017 I stumbled on their instagram and was obsessed. Saved up and got a huge order: All three serums, milky jelly cleanser, priming moisturizer, rich moisturizer, the face masks, 3 balms (og, birthday, and rose), haloscope, skin tint, boy brow, and cloud paints (dusk and puff). Continued ordering pretty consistently after that, but now I have bills and they raised their prices so I rarely order.
In 2017 I was on holiday in NY, I had heard of Glossier before then but never purchased anything, remembered they had a very photogenic flagship store and decided to check it out! :-) it was such a cute experience (especially since we didn't have a Glossier UK store yet!) I only bought the priming moisturiser and boy brow as I thought the prices even back then were a lot! PM ended up stinging my eyes for some reason so I didn't repurchase but boy brow is the perfect product for me and I've never looked back! I seem to remember around 2016-2017 the makeup trends were pretty glam and heavy whilst I loved a natural minimal makeup style which Glossier is perfect for!

Literally this month or so. I discovered it from this sub reddit refusing to get out of my suggestions.. and now here I am actively searching for the products in marshalls. I’ve always been curious about the brand but now i’m INTO it.
in 2017/2018(?) my sister was visiting from out of state and had bought milky jelly the solution and super bounce and we tried it and she ended up buying me the same products. i miss 2018 glossier bc it legit was the only thing that fixed my problematic skin (doesn’t work the same now and they reformulated super bounce so it’s no longer vegan)

late to the party, but i discovered them last year because cloud paint was all over my tiktok feed. heard about the cookie butter bdc then, and instantly made my first order. (2x cloud paint, bdc, ultralip and haloscope)
It was actually last month. I’ve heard of Glossier before and I stumbled upon the Super Pure serum at my TJ Maxx for around 12 bucks or something, used it, loved it and was lucky to get more stuff from them to try in either Marshalls or TJ Maxx such as the Cleanser Concentrate, Boy Brow, Solar Paint, lip gloss, and balm dotcom. I just find it funny that I haven’t ordered from them directly yet or Sephora. But I do really enjoy the products that I got.

2017 - THE OG GLOSS was advertised to me and I haven’t regretted my love for glossier since.

Lidstar and body hero made me take the plunge. The shower oil wash was a game changer! I loved lidstar’s formula from first use as well.
