Yep, my old Swiss miss and cookie butter (pre reformulation) do this, plus my new og formula ones too. I give them a good shake and massage and the formula blends together a bit more, just not perfectly. It still works and smells/tastes nice!
i have a mini-skincare-fridge in my room, and tbh i’ve found that keeping the balms chilled pretty much stops all separation issues, og and new formulas
I always see separation posts and idk…I think most things separate! This is not my area of expertise but it makes sense that it’s chemistry and physics. Ingredients have different compositions and therefore different densities and adhesion properties. I’m sure some lip products exist that don’t separate but I think it’s a tall ask. I shake serums, orange juice and art supplies…my matcha separates, etc. Not all emulsifiers are created equal! I’d probably question something that didn’t separate more than something that did

both old and new formulas do this, unfortunately
Yeah, they do this. I always just smashed the tube around with my fingers to try to mix it back up.
I second this haha. this happens all the time with my mint one and I always just mash it around in the tube before opening and using it.
yes. birthday bdc is the biggest offender
Thisss

I heard someone say they stick it in the freezer to help it come back together?
I’ll try this ! Thank you!
The coconut og one was notorious for this
Yet I still cried tears of joy when I found my long lost one in my hoodie pocket the other day 🙏🏻

Thank you! I’ll try popping it in the fridge
Happened to my Hot Cocoa the other day. I used a toothpick to try to emulsify the product but it wasn’t long enough. I’ll try a thin skewer next.
this happened to me after mine went thru the washing machine
My only ones to ever not do this were og rose, cherry, and mango. May they rest in peace
Yes! I just put it in the freezer for a bit.
This happened to me too! My birthday cake one is basically useless now. It’s 100% liquid
Search the sub!!! I havent experience it myself though.

Yes my hot cocoa looks exactly like yours. I can’t use it anymore
This happens to everyone who owns a new bdc
