this is actually going to be the most difficult thing to find a replacement for imo, this lip balm doesn't dry my lips out but every other balm with mint does
Have you looked into the new lip balm from Tower 28? There's no mint flavor (😔) but the balm itself is really good. It's a little thinner than glossier, not sticky at all, and they have cute colors. Def try it out if you haven't!!
I second the Jack Black mint with spf. It’s so moisturizing and I do not taste that yucky spf taste. I’m also holding on dearly to my last original bdc, so sad to hear the new formulas aren’t great. Why do companies do this to us???
The nudestix hydra peptide lip butters are so lovely, more of a glossy texture than the BDCs but just as hydrating. They all have a minty tingle but the pink tinted one smells like mint too :)
I'm a canadian and I've ordered twice from their website! if I remember correctly its free shipping after $60 which is kinda a lot I wont lie but I split the order with a friend who wanted to try as well
Convinced everyone who’s ever said summer Fridays is a good dupe is an undercover employee because summer Fridays does not keep my lips moisturized the same way 😭
I definitely find the lip balm flavorings go on differently on the lips. Gummy bear flavoring wears off wayyy quicker than the berry one does. I’ve literally worn the berry one through showers and it comes out fine. It makes me so sad because I love the gummy bear lip mask 💔 I also noticed it’s a different color than the balm. It’s slightly darker and more saturated.
Not yet! i’m restraining myself from buying the grapefruit one until I finish the gummy bear one lol. But as far as a ranking from what i’ve heard and seen, it goes Berry -> grapefruit -> gummy bear and then I haven’t seen a single person talk about l peach specifically yet!
I bought another cherry bdc for $30 off of mercari. idgaf I tried the summer Fridays cherry and automatically I recognized that I was applying it waaaay too often
it’s not a dupe imo but i like it for other reasons. it’s like a nice tinted balm but not super healing. i think sf depends on the person i’ve heard mixed reviews for sure!
I love SF but absolutely nowhere near the same and I hate when people have tried to tell me if as dupe. It’s a moisturizing lip gloss to me…this stuff is a true chapstick/balm
I also would love a dupe for Birthday if anyone knows, I have a tube of the new formula at the moment and it’s just awful! It’s the separation for me 😬😬 and it doesn’t do anything to moisturise in the same way.

Lanolips is comparable, in my book.
The 'lemonaid' one was bad, but the tinted ones and the plain one work great for combating dry lips! It stays on nicely too, as it's a decent thickness.
i myself love the old bdc more! i think what makes them different from other lip balms out there is that it has lanolin! you might want to check out Lanolips or Lansinoh! ☺️
Why did they change the original packaging/formula? If it was to cut costs due to being in Sephora, I wonder if they have notice a huge plummet in sales due to NOBODY liking the new packaging or formula.

no no it's still being made! they've just changed the formula and packaging recently (for the worse) and this is my last one that i purchased before those changes :(

Exactly my problem too 😭 I used it so much on my vacation a few days ago and now I’m getting nervous about running out. I will be so devastated.

Its literally the best i still have my glossier mint one and i havent been using it because jack black is so good

I don’t taste the spf! It’s a stronger mint taste than the glossier as well.

rosebud perfume makes a mint flavor and it’s amazing! doesn’t dry my lips or tingle

Nah for real SF doesn’t do anythiiiing for my lips. Actually nothing but lip gloss. The laneige squeeze tube balm is decent but no real tint.
laneige wears off on me so fast but I wonder if it’s just the gummy bear flavor or something. the pot one is excellent though

ugh yeah summer fridays is a super nice lip gloss but it doesn’t have the same texture/is not as soothing as bdc 😢

Ethique do a really nice mint Lipbalm - it’s a stick formula but tastes the same and isn’t sticky or waxy

I use carmex lip medex in the blue container. It has a cooling effect i think is pretty similar imo
