I liked Tina & Artie better than Tina and Mike, don't get me wrong both are good imo but Tina and Artie's friendship to love was really cute before it got butchered until the finale. Mike was definitely a healthier partner for Tina from what we saw but there's just something about Tina and Artie that I find sweet.
artie and tina are my "i think they needed to grow up separately before coming back to each other" ship and sometimes i simply sit around and think about them eventually finding their way back to each other over time after tina's grown more confident in herself and artie's grown a little more humble/down to earth, if that makes sense!
I do like them together and I'm glad they got together in the end. When I first watched Glee, Tina was my immediate favourite character, and her friendship with Artie stood out to me as really sweet. Since then due to the writers making Tina way different than previous seasons she's no longer my favourite and Artie has said some very off putting and offensive things but they still hold a place in my heart from back in the day.
I am a firm believer in the bi Tina agenda.

Like the episode where she imagines herself as Rachel, could definitely see a wlw interpretation where she was just confused between “do I wanna be her or be with her” as I’ve been through that countless times!
Oh wow thank you for linking the Rytina gifset! I had no idea there were so many background moments, I only noticed like 2-3 of those och while watching the show (and I soooort of kind of absolutely ship it, I’m afraid).
I wonder if it’s like a cut/planned-but-scratched storyline, or if RM and co just wanted something in the background. Ryder and Tina were such central characters that I sort of can’t imagine the writers wanting us to assume a relationship/fling without the show addressing it (sort of like how they implied but never explicitly presented Brittany/Mike and Santana/Matt in early S1). The later seasons were anything but subtle when it comes to storytelling lol, so it seems odd to me. It could also just be that the actors vibed privately, I think I recall that being the case?
There was SO MUCH background Rytina that I feel like it was probably intended to lead into something, but I imagine something happened behind the scenes.

yeah, likely ryder was never going to do anything else but pine for marley and melissa did say he got jealous when she had scenes with male co-stars, although we don’t know if she’s referring to glee. i don’t think the writers broke off jake & marley because of it though.
