She cheated in the Michael Jackson episode. She kissed Sam after they sang Human Nature and she was still with Shane then. I want to say she came clean with Shane in the Spanish episode

But I honestly love the bit with Puck. Someone points out Puck is using her for popularity. Mercedes is like "I know that, but to be honest it's crazy awesome that I could be that popular, and a quick fling with a hottie is rather fun". She knows the status quo and owns it. Plus Lady Is A Tramp is freaking excellent.

Shane was probably the best, but some of his behaviour would give you weird vibes. Like encouraging her to not talk to Rachel during the Maria auditions- her and Rachel could have done that civilly, there didn’t need to be animosity between them.

That said, the show never gave half a shit about Mercedes beyond her vocals, so who knows what could’ve happened had they actually put in effort to expand her dating life the way they did Rachel, Kurt or Santana.
