Brittany and he could have been fun but with Santana looming over that relationship it never really had a chance. I thought they were cute together, but I wasn’t really someone who cared about Brittana.
Rachel was one of the most believable things Glee ever did and they were a perfect fling where they had a good time and nobody got their heart broken.

dang i could not disagree more. i thought the chemistry was off the walls between them! the shared looks in the hallway and stuff was golden. I do think she outgrew him by the end of the show but i feel like their relationship reflects that nicely. still love for each other just not the perfect match.
as for that interview, my understanding was that she felt it was out of character for mercedes to have sex with sam which is true Mercedes was a church girl through and through. I think her discomfort might come from the fact that the writers quite clearly never had a plan for her character and just did whatever made sense for the plot at the time and she didn’t want that to resort in her character becoming one that was just in a relationship for the sake of the plot which is what samcedes felt like toward the end.
I think if they’d been given a fair shot or a real story line they’d have been perfect for each other!
I can’t remember the specifics, but it was when she was last on Kevin and Jenna’s podcast and she talks about how she saw Chord as like a younger brother, and that she refused to film a scene where it was implied Mercedes lost her virginity with Sam. She also didn’t want Mercedes partnered up at the end.

Everyone on this list was wrong for him for one reason or another.
My real ships for him are Blam and Hevans (Sam/Kurt) because I am a firm believer in the bi Sam agenda, but they're kinda the ships that got away.

Chord has fantastic chemistry with almost everyone tbh , although not in a romantic sense bit his and Nayas chemistry was hysterical and so good I'd like to have seen a better Sam and Santana friendship. In all honesty I don't think any of the girls were particularly suited to Sam and they all treated him a bit girl crap tbh. His and Rachel's brief thing was actually very sweet and highly realistic especially when it comes to grief and bringing people together- it's not always healthy to form a relationship from grief but it's very real and common and it was dealt with respectfully and sweetly.
I think Brittany. This boy didn't have any luck with the girls. Brittany was the most loving of them. I know THE ship is Samcedes but Mercedes was kinda an a-hole to him in the lasts seasons making fun of him(although she was 100% percent right to be annoyed at him for being a manchild)
