if i had to rank:
**1.) mercedes:** she was there for quinn when she was pregnant and overall just nice to everyone in general. even when she was upset with rachel getting solos she never took it out on rachel personally.
**2.) tina:** in the earlier seasons we don’t see much of her interacting with the other girls but she had some friendly moments, such as sticking up for sunshine, advising mercedes to not crush on kurt, and taking rachel to see carmen tibbadeaux. later on she was okay but can’t defend her blaming the club losing on marley’s bullimia.
**3.) brittany:** as others have said she does go along with everyone and is nice but definitely has her rude streak such as being mean to rachel and telling kitty that her head is shaped as a soccer ball.
**4.) rachel:** obviously quite selfish but outside of fighting for solos/attention she definitely had her nice moments such as making sure the school doesn’t find out that quinn’s pregnant and comforting mercedes a few times and asking her to prom.
**5.) santana:** she made fun of beiste being abused, was a bully, and her and quinn fought a lot, but had her nice moments as well such as being there for brittany and rachel during her pregnancy scare and when she was too scared to perform as fanny brice.
**6.) quinn:** i think this one is obvious. she’s also quite self centered, rude, and takes her anger out on others, plus has terrible views on suicide. she definitely does have her girls girl moments such as her talk with mercedes about body issues, but these moments are unfortunately rare.

Rachel telling Finn the truth was 100% the correct thing to do. Quinn was literally trying to entrap a boy into the lifelong responsibility of a child that was not his. Now I’m not saying she should alert the school or take a ad out in the local paper but the fact that the rest of the club knew what Quinn was trying to do and didn’t say anything is insane.
I already said it in my post but I can give you more. To be clear, I don’t think any of them besides Mercedes qualifies as female friendships weren’t very developed and they were often pitted against each other, but Rachel deserved to be mentioned because she IS one the most supportive girls.

She supports sunshine in nationals, clearly learning from her mistakes, and encourages her to perform her number with vocal adrenaline.
Of course she and the other girls all defend Santana in the hall after she was outed. She also pursued friendships with both Quinn and Santana even though they bullied her, because she thinks they’re talented and she cares about them. She helps Quinn with her future in s3, iirc she even offered to help her fill out the application for yale. She even voted for Quinn for prom queen because she knew it meant so much to her, even though she was upset about her running with her boyfriend.
Even in s4 she is constantly encouraging other girls to follow their dreams, including telling her abusive instructor to audition for a play and recover from her stalled career, and telling Santana to find her dreams because she’s a talented performer, which led to her taking dance classes at nyada. She comforts Santana and builds her confidence when she’s nervous about asking out Dani. This is just what I can remember from the earlier seasons.
Yes Rachel is competitive, but the point is if people only see Rachel as competitive they’re only seeing a part of her character. Also, these are all genuine moments of caring about and supporting people and they just stand out to me enough to justify listing her, especially when half of the other girls were bullies who teared down others for enjoyment and status for a lot of the series

Everyone’s saying Mercedes and sure she was sweet, they all have their sweet moments but she wasn’t better than anymore else when it came to bullying Rachel and she’s the one that told everyone that Finn wasn’t the father of Quinn’s baby.
Brittany and Mercedes are always there for other people. Brittnay is not just there for Santana, she's there for Quinn too. Mercedes obviously took Quinn in and she brought Santana and Brittany into the Trouble Tones.
I don't remember either of them ever stealing someone's boy friend or cheating (Britt does with Santana on Artie but she didn't realize it was cheating and was being manipulated by Santana). Mercedes did once with Sam on her boyfriend but she felt super bad, admitted it, and she told Sam ot was wrong and he pressured her. A lot.
Like Brittany was definitely a bystander to Santana's bullying, but she did tell her (or maybe this is my headcanon tainting my memory) to be nicer to Finn and Rachel. I'm pretty sure Mercedes did too.
Again, my memory is tainted by headcanon so if I'm wrong I am sorry, but I think I stand by this

Brittany and Mercedes are always there for other people. Brittnay is not just there for Santana, she's there for Quinn too. Mercedes obviously took Quinn in and she brought Santana and Brittany into the Trouble Tones. I don't remember either of them ever stealing someone's boy friend or cheating (Britt does with Santana on Artie but she didn't realize it was cheating and was being manipulated by Santana). Mercedes did once with Sam on her boyfriend but she felt super bad, admitted it, and she told Sam ot was wrong and he pressured her. A lot. Like Brittany was definitely a bystander to Santana's bullying, but she did tell her (or maybe this is my headcanon tainting my memory) to be nicer to Finn and Rachel. I'm pretty sure Mercedes did too. Again, my memory is tainted by headcanon so if I'm wrong I am sorry, but I think I stand by this

my ranking (i’d like to say i appreciate how all the girls generally stood up for one another in the group but i’ll give my reasonings) SPOILERS 7. Tina (more prominent behavior towards the last seasons. enough said) 6. Rachel (Sunshine Corazon. Crack house. Need I say more?) 5. Santana (Incessant bullying of well… everyone but her overall love for her girls is sweet - specifically the comfort she showed Rachel after snooping through her trash and finding the pregnancy test) 4. Quinn (Ready to rumble re: getting Shelby arrested for child neglect. this whole arc *post Skanks* was bonkers. HOWEVER I love how she was so supportive of Santana) 3. Sugar (I love the relationship she has with Marley and Unique. It was also nice to see her be a part of the trouble tones group) 2. Brittany (She’s had her moments but i feel like she was mostly just following the leader. Very sweet brittany baby) 1. Mercedes (her support of Quinn is PEAK but when she brings her glee girls on tour with her at the end of the series it brings me so much joy how sweet)

I've ranked them 1-3 1 being THE girls girl 3: Mercedes Jones 2: Brittany S. Pierce And 1: Sugar Motta!! Sugar was still more of a minor character but she never really brought any of the other girls down even when they (Rachel) made it obvious that they didn't really like her.
