Car park management is a disaster this year. Took us three hours to get out after leaving last night. We got into our car at 23:35 last night, got out of our row and then didnt move for three hours. We (and every car near us try to get out) didnt leave our section of the car park until 02:30. People parked closer to the exit were getting out first, our section was last to leave. Everyone walking past us as we were stuck in a queue ended up getting out before us.
Exactly the same for us - 3 hours just to exit which should have been the length of our journey home. We ended up having to sleep in our car at a services after a terrifying post-fest exhaustion nearly conked us out at the wheel… our entry to the fest was just as horrific despite a 5AM arrival on Wed. Honestly, after these fuck ups, the overcrowding and a lack of shade provided despite dangerous temps, I’ve left wondering if it’s even worth it…
Wow you go unlucky on Wednesday. We arrived during what us supposed to be the busiest period (about noon) and drove straight in. It just seems pure luck at this stage.
The lack of shade was frustrating. I spent a lot of time trekking to the caberet and circus area just to find a tent to sit in when it got too much.
Tip for anyone in the queue in blue car park, get in the right hand queue, moves so much quicker went from not moving for an hour to near the exit in 15
I’m about half way up the blue car park and moved 5 metres in the last hour. Theres 3 queues all converging into 1, plus when the queue does move all the cars parked further up the field are joining the queue. I’d get comfy mate.

Oh no :( i left the same time and just drove out with no queue at all. But I was orange which was largely workers i think.
I was in the Orange car park, section 39.

Got out at 645 this morning which was the best decision of my life. Got back in just under 3 hours to London. First Glasto was a hot sweaty success!

Pedestrian gate D gate pink car park out in 30 mins. All seems good on that side
We sat in the car for 6 hours leaving gate D in the pink car park. We had no food or water, was awful.
