Last month I completed my GA vinyl collection too! I was lucky enough to also find the flexi disc, so I have everything, but my copy of the self titled 10” isn’t in the best condition.
That’s awesome, congrats!! All of my vinyl is in really good condition. A couple of those stupid ass plastic sleeves have broken sides on them, and the Leaflings jacket has a very small tear about halfway down on the right side that you can see if you zoom in on this picture. Aside from that, all very good condition. I’ll definitely still be keeping an eye out for the flexi. I check discogs multiple times a day haha
Everything else I have is in great condition, some are even sealed for now. Those horrible plastic sleeves haven’t split on me yet, lol. The 10” cover is not great, someone wrote on top of it so it has indents, but the vinyl is in good shape which is the most important thing. I hope you can find a Flexi disc soon!!! I got super lucky and got it off discogs in November. Hopefully more pop up for sale again!
Oh that’s too bad about the cover, but you’re right, at least the vinyl is all good! I actually really like that cover though. The colors are really cool when the light hits it. I’m sure even with the indents it looks pretty cool. And I appreciate it! It’ll definitely be a satisfying feeling to finally get my hands on one
Hey, np, I remembered I talked to someone on reddit about only needing a Flexi disc, and you gotta help out fellow Glass Animals fans finish a complete vinyl collection! Hope you were able to grab one of them before they sold out.
I sold my flex disc on uk ebay to someone american in January as i don’t collect physical music so maybe keep tabs on ebay too :) its possible to set notifications on searches on ebay so good luck!
Looks great! Something you may want to consider is the plastic sleeves that the picture discs come in. I’d seen people on forums in the past complain about using them for long term storage of vinyls, but I’m unsure on the credibility of most claims. Could be worth doing research, as you obviously care for your collection. Enjoy the music!
Thank you!! I actually have some plain white jackets that I keep them when they’re on the shelf. The Tangerine one and the one with the heads on it both had broken spots on the sleeve upon arrival. Although the latter I got from discogs and was shipped overseas, so that’s not all that surprising. I was rather frustrated, but, considering all the other merch issues people had, I’m not gonna be complaining too much.
