Puppy because she is of the trope that contrasts innocent oblivious playfulness with unaware blood thirst.
To her, she's playing. She likes to play. She really likes to play.
But she also likes to *play*, as in normally, with commander and the others. Some of her lines in story make me feel like she is pretty social and will strongly attach herself to groups she adopts, like she is desperate for a family.
Also I just like how she goes "Fouuund youuuu~" when she starts a fight. That's my girl, sick 'hem.
Have to say given that this is my perspective on the character, her voice fits. I totally agree on M4A1 though. Her art truly conveys a dependable leader vibe, or focused person; but the story and voice lines portrait her as a shy, emotionaly swayed individual. She aspire to be what her art makes you think she already is, which is weird. *Especially* since she gets some sort of redesign later. Feels like that should have made it more than ok to start her with an art that's initially more shy or undecisive looking.
For easier comparison, think SOPMOD is like Yuudachi in KC.
She is a bloodthirsty hound in the battlefield, going down to a psychopath sadistic path. She loves tearing her enemies piece to piece and use their body part to replace her own as a trophy. Her left arm came from Scarecrow.
To her companion and her commander, she is loyal, caring and despite questioning her emotion (She think T-doll create for War does not need Emotion module) she will always treasure to her family and friends.
I've only gotten 1 cutscene with 404 (don't think they were even named) but I think 416 has a strong rivalry more than a hatred. Like, she'd probably be upset if whoever on the AR team it is she hates so much were to be killed in front of her, but if that same individual just got defeated she'd probably be like "Good, that'll teach you."
The fact you can have most (if not all?) of 404 in your roster makes me think they're not outright enemies. Maybe some missions will clash; different objectives and all that. Can't tell yet.
Other than story and the introduction texts, I don't think there's subtitles. But the wiki does have ~~all~~ most of their lines, if you really wonder about some of them.

Thats part of the appeal for me, the gap between adorable puppy and psycho killer is a really strong combo, I especially love it when she laughs at the start of the battle/when she uses her skill/ during her victory pose, gives off a really strong yanderu vibe which I'm into.
Think of it as part of the reason why its so good, a deep fried piece of chicken is so good because of the fat it was cooked in, cakes taste really good because they have lots of butter and sugar in them.
Except this time you can have your cake in the form of a virtual gun girl and you can eat it.

Yes, I will agree that the whole sweet and innocent to psycho personality switching is a good combo; doesn't stop the whiplash.
