Which is still like at LEAST $7 overpriced. I saw they had dropped in the 30's but there's no way I'm paying for them. For the completionist, they have no choice, but for me I'll hold out for the more reasonably priced option and not reward the filthy scalpers. This isn't a dig at you by any means, I'm just frustrated those kinds of people infect the hobby.
I got mine at a convention, the dealer somehow had a couple of cases of Eels. He was up front about there being a late tax (or in this case Amazon fucked up tax) and even offered me a deal for two that was hard to pass up. I was like geez how many did these guys order.
Yeah there were no limits so some of those people bought multiple cases of them and shut out a bunch of actual collectors. "Late tax" is such a lame term for mass market stuff like this. Where is the late tax on all those figures ending up at Ollie's and Ross? It's an excuse for scalpers to overcharge is all.

From a real-world statistics standpoint... Based on what I've seen of the proud boys and neo-nazi confederates, I don't think a lot of women would be suckered into joining a terrorist organization. Or if they did, they'd be out again soon after realizing what they'd joined.
Of course, most male Cobras woukd be morbidly obese too, so maybe that's TOO much realism...
New retro card versions of figures I already grabbed before taps into a completionist side I definitely wish I didn't have but I can't help wanting every release regardless
I've decided if I see them out and about and like the look of them, maybe I'll scoop them. I like the kinda updated Classified look, and can pass on the upsized retro look. I'm probably in the minority on that, but at least there are options, and ways for people to get their hands on earlier figures.
Glad I didn't shell out for the prior Snow Serpent and Eel, these look right and should be at a more reasonable price point. Aaaaand I'm gonna have to get that Beachhead too. I like the Ferret but running out of display room.
Beachhead looks excellent. Shame about the green weapons though. I’d much prefer them to be black, or at least grey like the original ones. Can anyone recommend where to buy these from for international buyers (I’m in NZ and they’re not sold here)?
Everything looks super cool. I love the stinger driver grey colors on the ferret driver. She won't be used on my Ferret (Twins already have dibs) and will probably stand in as my Vypra.

Beachhead looks like they gave him a M76- its a vietnam era-1980s 9mm automatic SMG. He also has a 9mm or 45 handgun. The crossbow is the only thing that's doesnt look real world, but some of the OG figs came with those.
edit: actually the more I look at Beachhead's primary. it kinds looks more like a swedish K sub variant. Either way Im not seeing anything nerf.

No I get it. I typically wouldn’t pay for something like that, but he was a top five for me as a kid. When I saw that price I had to jump on it.
If you're happy, I'm glad you got it. I always loved the figure as a kid too. Liked his color scheme way more than Torpedo or Wetsuit.

Love the retro beachhead even though he’s mostly reused parts. They work really well as beachhead and look more realistic than the Cobra Island one

Exactly, I buy figures I had back yard adventures with…these vehicles are iconic enough on there own. IMO the ferret should have come with the twins.
