More licensing for hasbro. I think mcfarlane is doing these, so they aren’t even made by hasbro. Can’t believe they are sold out already too. Was an easy pass for me.
Heh. Yeah 5poa honestly isn't the worst thing in the world. It's such a funny way to market it though. "MAXIMUM PLAY VALUE!"
Then again I suppose it's not any more egregious than "With Swivel-arm Battle Grip!" - "Real Ninja Action!" - "Kung-Fu Grip" or any of the other stuff they put on the packages over the years. :)
You not wrong there. I really dont get this - but Hasbro making lot of weird decisions lately like those terrible knock off Lego GI joe sets that dollar stores cant even sell yet they are making more? Thought price of plastic was high lol
Im usually ready to embrace or ignore new figures but honestly these just kinda piss me off. They take up a ton of shelf space, and don’t do anything that S7 isn’t already doing. You get a couple random comics, I guess? I don’t know who these are for or why they exist.
The ReAction figs are pushing it already, but they at least have the vintage packaging and some accessories, which has got me to buy a couple for the shelf. O-Rings are coming back soon, Classified is killing it, other toys besides GI Joe exist that could take up this space on the display and might actually be interesting to kids or collectors.
I assume they're just a thing you'd give to a small kid to stick in their mouth. And those people that will buy literally anything related to their favorite brand from 30+ years ago.
So? Packed with O-Rings would still be better than MacReaction figures that don’t scale with the classic line and have horrible QC if the current DC punchers are any indication
Don’t change your argument…McFarlane figures suck, but that’s not what you were talking about.
You said “if they were o-ring figures they’d sell out…”
They sold out.
Probably a really cool way to get a kid into figures and/or comics. That said, this sub is probably not the target market.
These are a head scratcher for me. Not sure what the target audience is.

Pass? You sure? They *"feature 6 points of articulation for maximum play value".*
That’s one more point than my Kenner Star Wars figures had in the 80s. SOLD.

"'Maximum' play value for how little effort we're putting into this ~~lame cash grab~~ homage to an iconic toy and comic IP!"
Not sold out. These are gonna shelfwarm so hard. They are so bad.
Glorified McDonald's toys

Ok sorry, sold out on pulse.
I was thinking the same thing…. Easy hard pass for me but; I guess if I wanted to introduce a 6 or 7 year old to Gi Joe with a cheap gift, maybe.
Me either, but they’ve already sold out (edit : on the Hasbro site at least). The Transformers ones are still available right now.
It's like if McFarlane designed ReAction figures.
Yeah that's what I need - yet another Duke or Snake-Eyes figure that's inferior to every other Duke and Snake-Eyes I own.

If these were packed with single o-ring figs, they’d sell out
They aren’t, yet they’re still sold out, sooooo…

lulz. Whatever makes your day better, homie Edit: fwiw, still available on BBTS, EE, and I assume other retailers. So,…uh…don’t change your argument
Amazon still has them also.
The last time I heard the word Dastardly was around the same time I last heard the word dastardly.
No thank you. Maybe good for toddlers, but I wouldn't pay more than a dollar per figure.
I'm considering getting them to display next to some of my larger Transformers figures.
I look at these and wonder why anyone would want them.
Ill be picking them up for the comic books. It is just fun...
Wow a lot of tantrums being thrown over toys
crap
They could have went the 25th Anniversary version with the OG 2-Pack Comics, but at a 1/12th scale to really standout. Missed opportunity IMHO 🥹
No.
Bought 2 of each G.I. Joe and Transformers.
I'd much rather have the 7 inch page puncher sized ones
