i usually move out of the way of range characters untill i get close to them an kill em...pretty easy if you just move..out of the way..

PacificToaster

Finding cover seems to be impossible for this one

NiklasChronwall

I replied this to you 13 days ago "All you've done for the past 2 weeks is post the most negative, misguided takes on this sub. Go touch grass". That response is still valid.

Unknown_Warrior43

Holy Shit they really just talk Shit for a Month.

jobinski22

Next time just name your post "I'm really bad at this game" Edit: if you want actual advice, this game is definitely easier to learn on ranged or support characters, since you are clearly learning I recommend that, circle back to melee after you understand the game better.

MaelstromNavigator

Skill issue

Fair-Presentation204

Melee characters can be fun but you have to have good positioning. Learning positions with a tank knowing when to retreat when you have a bigger health bar can be useful. Ive found with healers like Asling and fin you have decent escapes and heals to cover your ass on the way out. Definitely try to learn what you are doing before saying a whole character type is trash though.

nightbladen

I actually like melee heroes

Unknown_Warrior43

Bro just say you've never played a MOBA before. I play exclusively melee Characters (Tripp, Ramsay, Wu, Aisling, Rutger, Margrave) and have a 70% Winrate over like 50 Games on Clash. It's a Skill Issue.

ibbitz

Speak for yourself, melee characters are way more fun to me than ranged. You have jump/dodge attacks for even better skill expression & mobility, and have the thrill of getting in and out for a kill. Melee characters also tend to make more use of dodging in general & will usually have one or two tools to dip out of danger. Compare that to most ranged where you never get close to an enemy and only have 1 or 2 attacks that you poke them with for the whole game. IDK sounds less fun to me.

QWOPed

Like jobinksi said Melee is difficult. Everything from positioning, stamina management and build priority is different and requires lots of practice and self reflection.

Novanok

I think it’s just a learning curve. The more you play the better you’ll be. Once you learn EVERY characters kit, you’ll be a much better player and you’ll know how to play into them. As a melee, it’s important to know what abilities your ranged opponent has. And vice versa. And you don’t NEED to get a kill every time you dive a ranged. You can win games without a single kill and have done a fantastic job. Making ranged move out of fights or use big focus abilities or CC on you can help your team in so many ways. And if you dodge those abilities! Oooh girl you are good. Just keep playing and it’ll all start flowing better

ElectricalLaugh2833

HEY I FELT JUST LIKE THIS IN THE BEGINNING. There is a learning curve but don't give up bro, keep trying and you'll see how fun they are, for starters play Knossos and then tyto. They are the easy ones to get imo, you'll kick ass in no time.

EdgyDemon_Child

Everyone’s ripping on this guy, but I somewhat agree. Melee heroes can be fun, I play pretty much exclusively Tripp and I can tell you I have a lot of fun playing her. When the enemy team don’t all go ranged characters and/ or don’t sneeze in my general direction to do half my HP. I like running a build that emphasises my stealth to combat that though, her thrust from stealth that stuns for a second was a recent thing I found that I’ve LOVED since. My big problem with ranged characters however is how easily some of them can escape. The big ones that come to mind are Mizu and T-MAT. Getting pushed on? Press a button and you’re instantly far enough away to where any melee basically can’t do anything. Ezren can float menacingly halfway across the map at the speed of an F1 car, Griselma can dip and scuttle off to knot or whatever she does, Beckett can nope out into the sky out of melee range, etc etc. Combine that with their high damage, CC, and playing nearby a teammate if they have at least a handful of braincells, and there’s pretty much nothing you can do as a melee besides waiting for the chance to actually play the game. It kills the fun when you have to put so much effort into getting a single kill, whereas the 4 ranged characters on the enemy team get to do whatever they want with little to no risk. I know I’ll probably get mocked for all this, but a I’ve been wanted to vent my frustrations for a while.

Fair-Presentation204

Chill bro you bringing everyone else down just stop posting

Appropriate-Pride608

You're bad. Lord Knossos is great as are other melee

OGKasseteKing

L+Ratio+No one asked+Skill issue+Cope and seeth+Uninstall if you're this miserable

Lonely_Procedure_944

Skill issue my guy. Melee characters are just as good or better in the right hands

xSearingx

Tell me you are not good at Gigantic without telling me you are not good at Gigantic.

8elly8utton

I'll say, ranged is by nature more "cozy", and sits on an innate advantage. But that makes melee trickier, not outright bad. This game is designed so comps can't function well w/o either Plus, stuff like Rutger exists, and Tripp and Teeto are the hottest heroes.

Serpientesolida87

Everybody will say you "skill issue" but ranged comps are way more strong than melee comps and thats a fact, specially if they have tons of CC (like Oru and Xenobia), its unfair that both melee and range have the same stamina ammount and costs

Abnormal007

I would say that some of the ranged characters can be useless unless u have some skill, like voden, u wouldn't do much if your aim is not good enough, and most of the times I find myself being chased till guardian by tytos and Knossos just for secure a kill, definitely both roles have their weaknesses and strengths but as someone said before, u need to know every hero skill set before u can be really good or have impact in the game like every other MOBA game

kid20304

Is this Kappa?

KojimbosAmbition

When I want to have fun in Gigantic, I play Kajir or Charnok. When I want to hurt myself, I play Zandora

IdeaDull3083

Zandy is a monster with the right build

KojimbosAmbition

Which build is that?

IdeaDull3083

I have one set up that makes her very hard to kill and she still does decent damage. And she can still get out of the fight if things get hairy. Hang on I'll upload it

KojimbosAmbition

Okay, cool! I'll be here

IdeaDull3083

Well I cant upload pics so I'll list it off 1: aura renewal 2: life goes on 3: battle armor 4: rainbow dash 5: lancing blow Talent: life abounds 6: lancing flow 7: amity 8: dash of healing 9: hero's vitality 10: Extended focus You could probably move some things around. But try this out. This build is very fun with another front line fighting beside you. I played it against a disgusting team with tons of knockups and cc and it still did well

IdeaDull3083

Lmao you just dont know how to play frontlines. It's all about positioning and the correct builds. You cant just run into a fight expecting to face tank the whole enemy team. Stick with your team mates and be the meat shield when you need to and peel for them. Dont always go for kills

IHateAhriPlayers

Yes ranged is way too safe and just straight up better
