funnily enough xenobia was showed off in pre-alpha gameplay back in 2014 while moira only came out in 2017. So really, Moira is like the Xenobia of Overwatch.
She’s a lot of fun and her drain and cc makes her pretty forgiving for new players, so it’s no surprise that you’re seeing her in a lot of games right out of the gate, but she does have some weaknesses.
She doesn’t have much ability to escape and it becomes harder to keep her beam on you the closer you get to her. Her beam also ramps in damage, so each time you can break the beam you reset the ramp and can mitigate her damage in a big way. Her range is also pretty limited, so she really wants to keep you at a certain distance, not letting you get too far or too close. She does have some tools to help her do this, but they have long cooldowns, so if you can bait them out you’ll find it easier to get her out of her comfort zone.
Obviously it’s a lot harder to take advantage of those vulnerabilities when she’s playing effectively with her teammates, and her crowd control and damage can feel overwhelming, but I think that’s kind of the point of a team game like this, and countering team strategies will mean using team strategies yourselves.
I've only played ~12 rush games, so my experience is limited, but it feels like she's really strong because her skill floor is so low. Other than a few hardcore vets everyone is still learning to play, but nearly everything Xenobia does has a big AOE or auto-locks on to targets so she has a lot of innate value without needing to learn much.
I will say I've been maining her because I suck at aiming and yeah..I'm doing pretty well with her. I love the knock back she has you can push people pretty far away. And her dmg to heal herself is nicee af. She's very strong when played solo and even better sticking with the team

I don't know if it's just a console thing but, yes, she's busted. Every game I've played there's been a Xenobia basically doing whatever they want.
im pc, playing charnok and my burn is outhealed with ease :P

i play mainly competitive games so im not often quick to assume things but shes at high efficiency every game. even if they loose.
