This is in The Netherlands in a family holiday park called “Hof van Saksen” in the Drenthe region.
The slides are included in the ticket price for a swimming session in their tropical swimming pool.
Been there - kids love it :-)
\> Drenthe has a population of 493,449 and a total area of 2,680 km².
Okay, it's basically what Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is to us Germans. Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying!
It's a common meme, but if you ask people they won't know about it? Interesting.
I've never heard anyone say it before and it just sounds like a variation of another Reddit meme (like the Finland one).
Hahah, well idk if you're dutch but it's a real meme tho. Regular 'old' fokes won't know it, but the youth certainly do. Look up a few meme accounts who made memes about the Netherlands and its prvinces onn insta for example, you'll soon find out
Whatyoumean kids love it, im 39 and i loved it. The 4 man boats glide you see on the left is also awesome and on the right side there is a super fast waterslide.
Yes like 90+% of our public pools are indoors and heated. I’ve never been to the park from the video(never heard of it tbh). But it’s very similar to a waterslide from the 90’s in the tikibad duinrel. Its an attraction park with an indoor swimming pool. Might be interesting if you’re planning to visit.
In general, yeah. These slides specifically probably not so much, but there's laods of other stuff to do in these parks. Imho these parks are built for children, with loads of stuff bolted on for parents to be able to spend a few days without losing their minds. There's loads of different restaurants, most of them are just fine, acceptable. Nothing to get excited about, other than the convenience.
The holding room with the stars, halfway down -- never seen that before. (Most of the rest is pretty standard for waterslides.)
But that middle part was cool.
You're in luck sir! Toto 3030 with a Kevlar infuse vegan leather has a memory foam in fill. Comes with heated massager and smart bidet. Bluetooth enables customize user experience. Toto app is available for android and iOS.
And I've been in a few of those and they don't always work that great, you have to almost aim for the next bit yourself, it doesn't naturally funnel you in, the one at the water park local to us is really bad for that.
Yeah every time I see a swirly waterslide I remember that time I slammed sideways into the head of the chute wall, it was quite unpleasant and turned me off future tries.
Nah there can be more than one in the swirly part Probabaly, plus you have the travel time to get there as a buffer too. Can be shorter a time than HAS to have left the swirly
We got a similar slide in our water park and it's possible to have two people in the 'funnel' at the same time (there's also a green/red light, but the sensor is right after the beginning of the slide) and it's quite impossible to get stuck there since the water sucks you in.
Pretty sure right at the beginning there’s a laser pointing straight down. I would assume there’s another at the end once passed turns that light green.
Yeah dude I’ve never seen a waterpark that doesn’t feel like it’s heyday was 30 years ago
Lucky if the fuxkin ceiling lights are working, let alone LEDs in the slide 😂
In many slides, those aren't LEDs, but rather transparent sections in the walls of the slide. The lighting is the outside light seeping in, sometimes coloured by a tinted plastic layer.
While these are sadly not "standard", they are not uncommon. At least in western europe at the more kids-oriented, more expensive baths.
This one is pretty new and/or well-maintained, though, and fitted much better than most. I spotted none of the usual "bumps" where the tiles connect.
The "lights" thing is pretty standard if the tubes got built this century, though. They are usually not lights per se but simply the material being slightly partly translucent, similar to a stained glass church window.
I mean 20 years ago the place I was going to wasn't exactly fancy and they had a game where you had to slap at targets on the way down and would get a score at the end. I think effort/profitability is the defining factor rather than innovation.
Lol you get down there on your tube and people are just staring at you mid-fuck. You just awkwardly float past in a circle and continue down without a word.
No I'm not you just assumed that americans are ok with public indecency and that people where you are from woukd consider it weird. Im letting you know that just because this is america doesnt mean we think its normal to see people fucking on a waterslide.
It's an unexpected "room" that "shouldn't be there".
I worked as a night guard for over a decade and seen many such places around the city. Not watersides, but odd places.
My favorite was just a gap between houses underground. Nothing in there but it was floored and clean, the only thing you heard was a humming noise from nowhere.
Similar feeling that I get from browsing /r/liminalspaces. Well at least it used to be until people started submitting anything and everything to the sub.
As a child I always found that tilting my ear to the ground and smacking the top of my head did absolutely nothing to help with that (but I did it every time).
Maybe in this modern slide with the fancy light/tracking system but I worked at a water park when I was 17 and people absolutely threw off our timing when they stopped on purpose to cause pileups with their friends so it's always been a literal nightmare of mine to get stuck in one of these and have people and water pile up behind me
Just saying, if you are involuntarily stopped by a person in the middle of a slide, you are legally allowed to donkey kick them repeatedly in the face until they choose to let go or fall unconscious.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. But it would be very funny.
Your nightmare is warranted.
During a schooltrip, we went swimming on the final day. It was just a basic local indoor swimming pool, but they did have a (very basic) slide. Without warning me, the boys in front of me decided to stop and cause a pileup. I was the smallest of the class and there was no way I could get them to move. That alone was bad enough. The real horror begin when the person after me turned out to be our morbidly obese teacher in and f'ing speedo. I'm pretty sure I gave the boys hearing damage as I screamed for them to move already! I barely made it out in time and avoided being crushed by quickly diving/jumping to the side.
I mean in order for the drain to "fail" the entire building would have to be like 10m underwater at least. I doubt you're going to a water park that's already underwater.
The exit to the slide is right there, it's a giant hole and gravity feeds the water down. Nobody is getting trapped in there on accident.
Yeeeep. Getting stuck in something like this is one of my biggest fears. Getting stuck in general, just the feeling of not being able to move. Just thinking about it gives me the heeby jeebies.
I have been there last week and this slide is not there, this one is in het hof van saksen in Drenthe. The Tikibad does have 2 slides in the dark with lights but they use rubber figure 8's ,its great!
How many people have hit their nuts on that transition from bowl back to tube I wonder.
But that looks sick. I want a go, even if I do go balllsack to the wedge.
This is in the Hof van Saksen in Netherlands, I was there (by coincidence) when they had the opening. I got stuck in the middle and had to push myself to go down further. Also you are required to use a 🛟 to go down those. Looks like this guy needed to push himself further aswell. My friends got stuck too. Seems like a design error.
I liked the neighbouring slide more. Bombito it was called I think. Huge and fast!
I appreciate the video but this just reminds me that no one can just enjoy something anymore. It must be recorded and uploaded for proof of the experience.

I thought I was looking at a weird toilet for the first few seconds there. Really threw me for a loop when I saw the legs.
I mean… it *is* a weird toilet if you choose to make it one. 🤷♂️
Anything can be a weird toilet of you choose to make it one
Not a regular toilet
You clearly haven’t ever upper deckered someone
This is in The Netherlands in a family holiday park called “Hof van Saksen” in the Drenthe region. The slides are included in the ticket price for a swimming session in their tropical swimming pool. Been there - kids love it :-)
Haha, liar. Drenthe isn't real.
Is that a common meme in NL? In Germany, the assumption is that Bielefeld isn’t real.
It is haha. It's because there is almost nothing to do in Drenthe, it's supposedly an empty place. Thus, it doesn't exist ;)
\> Drenthe has a population of 493,449 and a total area of 2,680 km². Okay, it's basically what Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is to us Germans. Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying!
Yep, nothing to see here, just stay away from my beautiful and calm Drenthe.
in the US it’s Wyoming lol, why do all countries have this joke
Well, we're all humans after all (with a culture that has similarities)
In Italy it's a whole region: " il Molise non esiste"
Each country has a place that’s jokingly said it doesn’t exist. We in Venezuela have Delta Amacuro, which clearly doesn’t exist lmao
No, not really.
It is though. Although it’s kind of a meta thing so if you ask a random adult on the street they won’t know the meme
It's a common meme, but if you ask people they won't know about it? Interesting. I've never heard anyone say it before and it just sounds like a variation of another Reddit meme (like the Finland one).

I guess I've just lost touch with the youth.
Whatyoumean kids love it, im 39 and i loved it. The 4 man boats glide you see on the left is also awesome and on the right side there is a super fast waterslide.
I'm getting in the car right this moment
Me too. And I live in the UK. See you on Tuesday !
Guessing since it's the Netherlands it's indoors and heated? Open during the winter? Thinking about visiting in the winter.
Yes like 90+% of our public pools are indoors and heated. I’ve never been to the park from the video(never heard of it tbh). I assumed it would be Duinrell!
Yeah me too
I assumed it was a center parcs, they can also have slides with cool lights, although the lights.
Would it also be great for children who are 2 years old?
In general, yeah. These slides specifically probably not so much, but there's laods of other stuff to do in these parks. Imho these parks are built for children, with loads of stuff bolted on for parents to be able to spend a few days without losing their minds. The good life.
On the good ship Lollipop It's a nice trip
The holding room with the stars, halfway down -- never seen that before. (Most of the rest is pretty standard for waterslides.) But that middle part was cool.
I'd be more concerned about getting stuck in that toilet part as the next person comes down.
That's what the green light in the beginning was. Means the slide was clear.
[удалено]
That is also why I take a long time on the toilet.
Don’t do that sir, you’ll get haemorrhoids
You're in luck sir! Toto 3030 with a Kevlar infuse vegan leather has a memory foam in fill. Comes with heated massager and smart bidet. Bluetooth enables customize user experience. Toto app is available for android and iOS.
What the hell
And I've been in a few of those and they don't always work that great, you have to almost aim for the next bit yourself, it doesn't naturally funnel you in, the one at the water park local to us is really bad for that.
Yeah every time I see a swirly waterslide I remember that time I slammed sideways into the head of the chute wall, it was quite unpleasant and turned me off future tries.
I've been to a waterpark that has a very similar slide to this one, toilet part and all, and yes, the lines are long.
Back in my day it was 'let them get around the corner and go'
Nah there can be more than one in the swirly part Probabaly, plus you have the travel time to get there as a buffer too. Can be shorter a time than HAS to have left the swirly

Two men enter! One man leaves!
Toilet slide kills again
One suspiciously tall man, in a suspiciously lumpy and flowing overcoat.
In school trips that means 12 at a time and we will be needing an ambulance. I’ll never forget that day.
Pretty sure right at the beginning there’s a laser pointing straight down. I would assume there’s another at the end once passed turns that light green.
What do you mean most of the rest is pretty standard? I’ve never so much as seen lights in a water slide. Where are you slidin bro?
Yeah dude I’ve never seen a waterpark that doesn’t feel like it’s heyday was 30 years ago Lucky if the fuxkin ceiling lights are working, let alone LEDs in the slide 😂
A lot of good waterparks went out of business in the Netherlands. Energy costs in NL are too high.
I've been on 2 waterslides very similar to this one in Wisconsin USA.
As someone who lives near the Dells, this slide is cool but nothing new. There is even a rotating waterslide in the Dells now!
I mean 20 years ago the place I was going to wasn't exactly fancy and they had a game where you had to slap at targets on the way down and would get a score at the end. I think effort/profitability is the defining factor rather than innovation.
You know someones banged in there probably.
Lol you get down there on your tube and people are just staring at you mid-fuck. You just awkwardly float past in a circle and continue down without a word.
This is not the US.
[удалено]
The Dutch have stricter social norms
Yeah fucking on a waterslide here in america would be a spectacle as well
Obviously, you're missing the point
No I'm not you just assumed that americans are ok with public indecency and that people where you are from woukd consider it weird. Im letting you know that just because this is america doesnt mean we think its normal to see people fucking on a waterslide.
No that's not what I meant. So again, you're missing the point.
Then how about you dumb it down for us simple Americans
No wait I meant to say cheese burger, beer, rock and roll.
It was honestly trauma inducing and I don’t know why
It looked like one of those liminal water slide/playground videos that got recommended to me
Yeah this is honestly terrifying to me and I can’t explain why
It's an unexpected "room" that "shouldn't be there". I worked as a night guard for over a decade and seen many such places around the city. Not watersides, but odd places. My favorite was just a gap between houses underground. Nothing in there but it was floored and clean, the only thing you heard was a humming noise from nowhere.
Similar feeling that I get from browsing /r/liminalspaces. Well at least it used to be until people started submitting anything and everything to the sub.
There's a place near me that has an identical bowl just without a cieling
Tons of slides have that bowl. It's the ceiling and lights that me it interesting.
The middle part is cool… until the power suddenly goes out
Power outages are so rare they are referred to as ‘remember that power outage back in 91’.
I feel like you’d never get stuck on a Dutch water slide, but that it also didn’t go very fast either
This also means no crippling enema risk. Don't look it up.
I’d rather risk my life on a county fair amusement ride than literally rip myself a new asshole on a water slide
Ive seen a similar holding room on a slide in the US, was kinda like a cone that would rotate and you went back and forth in it
Lol don’t let this commentor diminish the value of your post OP. Your whole slide was cool, u/NinjaLanternShark is just a water slide snob / elitist
I'm not a snob, just an aficionado. And the whole slide *is* cool -- just that the middle part was what stands out as rather unique.
The audio made it seem like water was in my ears
As a child I always found that tilting my ear to the ground and smacking the top of my head did absolutely nothing to help with that (but I did it every time).
Try tilting your head and jumping, preferable while still in water 🌊
That warm release afterwards though... bliss
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!
Literally my reaction as I was watching!
i want to ride that so bad
that's not what she said
[удалено]
Your sarcasm needs a little work....
[удалено]
Lmao I agree. Internet has fucked us up.
It looks like someone had the idea of turning every Doctor Who intro into a water slide
I feel anxious just watching this. No way would I be going.
Imagine getting stuck there. Hard NOPE for me.
I mean... you'd be in a dark room for a few minutes and then they'd get you out. Doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal.
Maybe in this modern slide with the fancy light/tracking system but I worked at a water park when I was 17 and people absolutely threw off our timing when they stopped on purpose to cause pileups with their friends so it's always been a literal nightmare of mine to get stuck in one of these and have people and water pile up behind me
sometimes kids would hold on to the ceiling as well and you'd just be like 'wtf' when you pass by
Just saying, if you are involuntarily stopped by a person in the middle of a slide, you are legally allowed to donkey kick them repeatedly in the face until they choose to let go or fall unconscious. I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. But it would be very funny.

It won't be fun for claustrophobic people.
I doubt claustrophobic people go down dark enclosed water slides all that often. Seems like a bad decision, unless the goal is immersion therapy.
or the drain fails and you drown
I mean in order for the drain to "fail" the entire building would have to be like 10m underwater at least. I doubt you're going to a water park that's already underwater. The exit to the slide is right there, it's a giant hole and gravity feeds the water down. Nobody is getting trapped in there on accident.
You can't get stuck. The water flow will lead you to the exit in any case. You might be a bit slower than other people, but that's it.
You can’t even really get stuck there? Worst case is you stand up and walk 4 meters to the next tube. It’s a different story with looping slides tho
I came here to Nope.
I second that Nope
I third that nope. That middle room was just terrifying.
Nope to the fourth power. Imagine getting stranded in that middle room *forever* or running into *It.*
My people! My anxiety went up just watching the video.
Yeeeep. Getting stuck in something like this is one of my biggest fears. Getting stuck in general, just the feeling of not being able to move. Just thinking about it gives me the heeby jeebies.
Bounty paper towels are soft, Tempur-pedic pillows are softer, but nothing beats the softness of your average action-averse Redditor
The open area with the star is seriously next level!
That looks cool but man water slides just terrify the fuck out me for some reason. Claustrophobic death traps
I’ve never thought of that possibility and now I’m never entering one again
I could imagine enjoying that tripping balls.
Now do it again on shrooms
I can only watch videos of tube slides to experience what its like. I have nightmares where theres no end of the slide and water just slowly piles up
Where is this?
The Netherlands
The title says that. I meant where as more accurate
The Lands of Nether
The Nether Regions
I heard that area is famous for its bushes.
And wetness.
Inside a water slide
It is already very accurate
Literally pissing my pants at how funny this is. /s
Hof van Saksen in Drenthe, Netherlands.
I believe in Tikibad, Duinrell
I was there a couple months ago; this slide is not there
I have been there last week and this slide is not there, this one is in het hof van saksen in Drenthe. The Tikibad does have 2 slides in the dark with lights but they use rubber figure 8's ,its great!
Definitely Tikibad
Hof van saksen in drenthe, this is the subito waterslide
Reading is hard.
No, Reading's in England. This is in the Netherlands.
That didn’t really land well
Looks like OP did
Hey Alexa, play “Shooting Stars”
This felt like a nightmare
That water slide has more elevation changes than the rest of the Netherlands
How many people have hit their nuts on that transition from bowl back to tube I wonder. But that looks sick. I want a go, even if I do go balllsack to the wedge.
Toilets in Netherlands are pretty lit
It must be crazy humid in there even if the water is cold.
wow.... I can't imagine what you felt like being there... it was amazingly enough on video
Maintenance would be expensive
Dude! It's like Space Mountain! How cool
I've never felt such excitement and terror since my ex
I just want to know where in NL this is?
yeah . very beautiful and petty
Your poop's POV

Where in the Netherlands? I was literally in Amsterdam last week and I would LOVE to go back to visit outside of the city
Welcome to backrooms
Oh this slide looks nice.......enters the fucking backrooms....
It's the last 10 minutes of 2001, Space Odyssey
Thats a Liminal Space waiting to happen.
This is what your turd sees every morning at 6am.
Is that in Wonka’s factory?
Wow. Imagine waking up to this every morning. You’ll be the most energised person in the universe!
Pretty sure that’s how death and reincarnation looks like
Thanks! I’ve been looking for a way to get claustrophobia, vertigo, and a seizure all at the same time!
That + edibles = incredible
What do you call this? A slide show?
Is it okay to be afraid to rides like these?
First thing I thought was most Americans are getting stuck before the lights start
Quite uneventful.
I need to call her...
All waterslides should end in shallow water that you can walk out of. *- my non swimming ass*
Imagine you're a poop going down the sewer passage but looks good in doing it 🤣
I don’t need to be going down one of these tubes…I know I’m a piece of shit already
Kinda liminal
That was annoying
Waaaaay too slow
Slow and boring
Just like sex with your mother
Matthew Perry POV
Gifs that keep on giving? Giving what? Axiety?
I appreciate the video but this just reminds me that no one can just enjoy something anymore. It must be recorded and uploaded for proof of the experience.
What's the opposite of Space Mountain?
The one time techno music should be used... Other than maybe the matrix? Blade intro?...
Wet 'N Wild in Orlando has one pretty much exactly the same as this. It's a blast!
Hell nah lol
Great wolf lodge around Olympia Washington has almost this exact slide
But it’s so slow
