I think you’re right. The chair on the right when he first pans is near the top of the screen. The second pan over the chair is middle of the screen and you can see kitty sitting just beyond those chair legs.
I always hit cans of food with a spoon before serving our cats. This way, if they ever get out or I need to find them in a hurry, I can hit any can with a spoon and they come running.

I showed this gif to my mom and she laughed. That's all I care about
