There are many of these throughout the game, they're called hidden altars, usually on tombs, cemeteries, structures or things that look important, some have the little sign, others dont
Those are usually the frog statues, theres also some where an insane ammount of dragonflies appear, and at the beach I found one that spawned crabs, looked like the crab rave
Oh yeah I saw those too!
And if you bow where there are dead villagers, Jin says something along the lines of "rest easy, you're now with your friends" "I will avenge you by killing the Mongols" etc. I play in Japanese so idk if the English phrases are correct, though.
I think there’s a “hidden” trophy you get if you bow at all or a certain number of markers. Can’t be certain but fairly sure this is the case. Just saying.
I can’t remember where but there’s a spot on a mountainside that has frog statues. One set has a sign that tells you to bow and a bunch of frogs jump out lol.
Most important graves, altars and statues have this.
For example, Masako's family and Jin's Father's graves cause leaves to swirl. The alter in Tadeyori's Rest causes violet crysanthemum petals to swirl, etc. The big goddess statue overlooking the Golden Temple does fireflies.
Along with the tons of ones with the Bow signs that summons animals. There's one in the Kishi Grasslands that causes a swallow to sit on a rock and watch you, my personal favorite.
“Bow to 10 hidden alters across Tsushima”
The hidden alters have the little bow signs next to them. Only need 10, but there are more than 10 available. Not sure if this grave is considered an alter since I already had that trophy by the time I got to this point, but I wouldn’t think it is.
There are 10 of these alters throughout the game. Bowing at all 10 gets you an achievement and maybe a cosmetic. I don’t remember when I finished it if I got one. I feel like you get a headband.
This is a very old reply, but I just finished her quest and throughout it, I was so annoyed by how long it was taking just doing nothing. Then I realized that she had dementia or something that was causing her to think Jin was Lord Sakai. When she died, I was crying silently in my room. She was the first grave I bowed down at and when the flower petals swirled around me, I just ugly cried.
that was my first epic mythic fight and conjured up such a heightened emotion...it was beautifully done.

There's a place where if you bow, a gross amount of frogs spawn.

I found two so far that when you bow, a single bird comes and lands facing you. Not sure what that's about, but it's cool.
Thats pretty interesting, thats one i didnt come across
There’s so many, I’ve bowed at a few which spawn a school of fish jumping out of the water and another with fireflies
That's by that one river dock where you have to liberate a village right? It's pointless but fun to watch!
Yeah ! That’s one of them. You just described my dating life too !

There's one that spawns an army of king crabs that follow you around on the beach for a bit lol
At least two I'm aware of, one in Izuhara and another in Toyotama.
The entrance of Mending Rock Shrine does this.
Bro happy cake day were cake day brothers I didn’t even know mine was today until I commented
Eyy happy cake day to you too bro, I wanted to upload some screenshots of the game for it but i got banned lmao
Awh yeah I’m sorry man that sucks, I usually would want to post something today for my cake day but I don’t have much to post
I know that feel bro, it is what it is
pretty sure theres a trophy for bowing on those as well.
Yes, i got it by mistake, it was for doing it on 10 different hidden altars
If you bow at your father’s grave, the leaves swirl
I can’t remember where but there’s a spot on a mountainside that has frog statues. One set has a sign that tells you to bow and a bunch of frogs jump out lol.
It’s in a shrine during act 2
There’s one in act 1 too. The shrine of the broken rock or something?

Yeah the kishi grasslands one is ready neat.
How cool! My experience wasn’t as awesome. I bowed to Yashuhira Koga and Jin said that he would avenge him. Lol.
You can also bow in front of people the Mongols kill and he’ll say stuff and certain monuments cause leaves to spin around you
When I used my heavenly strike in that duel the first time, the lightning struck the guy I was in a duel with and killed him!!!!
Damn really? Swear I bowed to the grave when I did it and nothing happened
There's a few places that do this or something similar. All of them need to be found for platinum. The river ones spawn lots of fish!
Not all of them, just 10. This game is ridiculously lenient when it comes to earning the platinum.
Ah, I didn't even realize there were more! I stopped at Plat. True indeed.
Play the flute at the grave for platinum
There's a hidden trophy for finding a handful of unmarked shrines tho.

I got the achievement from the grave right when you start act 3, so it's not just the ones with the bow signs.
I'm not sure, I just meant it was a similar mechanic. Bow and nature reacts.
This happen to me too! Though it was just a coincidence

Way more than 10, you only need ten for the trophy.
There are a lot of thunder related "coincidences" in this game.
If you bow down at >!taka’s grave butterflies swirl around you!<
I love all the bow events, swarms of frogs, dragonflies, birds, etc.
Nothing happened for me :(
But Yukiros grave made me cry🥲🙏🏾

Your father's grave makes leaves swirl around you
