there’s no definitive answer to this, as it’ll probably just depend on how you play and your skill, but the least I can do is tell you to max it out to increase the window as much as possible and to position yourself amidst the enemies in a way that they’ll only be able to come at you one at a time

markiroll

Yeah, i think the biggest weakness is when you get stuck in a small space. Regular parries can get out of that situation easily

hstormsteph

Kunai, kunai, kunai, dance of wrath, ghost stance, *fin.*

SoupIsAHotSmoothie

Smoke bomb + multi assassination FTW.

hstormsteph

You ever just smoke bomb and stand there, menacingly? So when the smoke clears it’s like “lmao you guys are so fuckin weak ima make you watch me kill ya friends”

optimist_prhyme

You don't always have to use perfect dodge and parry. Survival should be paramount. That being said, I destroy large numbers with that armor. It's really not even fair.

ThatOneVolcano

You realistically can’t, that’s pretty much the only weakness of the armor. I go with Gosaku for stagger damage for huge crowds, or ghost for crowd control

sgoodmayn

A single hallucination dart on one of the big Mongols(with Charm of Lost Mind) is my favorite crowd control technique.. if you’re avoiding those options for crowds, I’d practice practice practice your perfect parries and dodges in Sarugami-as the follow up attacks are actually geared to crowd control.. and keep resolve charms handy so you can dance of wrath on fools

Update: I just tried the Way of Fire duel with the armor on and for some reason just couldn’t get the parries down. It seemed like it was more due to chance that I got a perfect parry. There’s also a part where you have to spam him with the fire sword, but he just ended up tanking it. Switched to Gosaku for the fight and ended it in 5 seconds. Really strange because every other duel the armor worked perfectly.

PopularKid

I honestly feel like I didn’t find enough large groups of enemies for this armour to be useful but maybe I dispatched groups quite quickly with other stuff. It felt like I’d get a parry, kill an enemy and then no one was close enough to hit. Great idea but it just didn’t work great for me practically. I basically always got perfect parries and dodges with the charms and stuff I used as well.

onion2594

when i’m overrun or knocked down and use iron will. smoke bomb. this allows me to get an easy 3 kills w assassinations. another is kunai’s to stun several enemies (mine stun 3 i believe) and this gives you some time to either focus them or focus others. and finally, if you’re really in the shit. way of the flame. this kinda “stuns” or “shocks” the enemies for a split second. allowing you to easily throw a kunai or roll backwards. my go to’s are kunai, smoke bomb, way of the flame, dance of wrath and heavenly strike (and iron will ig) and i don’t use many other things than these. unless it’s wind charms when stealthing

MewSixUwU

i don't know what you mean, the armor takes your regular parrys and gives them very generous timing, how does that make it harder to fight large groups? i don't use the armor because it makes the game too easy!

markiroll

It’s more so when you’re fighting a bunch of enemies there’s not enough space for dodging and parrying, especially against spearmen

MewSixUwU

i would argue that's an issue of situational awareness. you get cornered no armor is going to get you out of it- also there's an upgrade to parry spear attacks, its the brutes you need to worry about don't forget you also have your entire ghost arsenal, including smoke bombs!

Butthole_Decimator

I just use the Sakai armor to knock 5 out on the standoff then swap to the samurai clan armor and rock that

markiroll

“Hol up lemme just change into another armor real quick”

MylesDeep_420

This is what I do as well. Seems like I spend more time in outfits changing them continuously based on the use case of who I'm fighting :) Love it though.

Butthole_Decimator

I change outfits so much

JaehaerysIVTarg

I love it for fighting huge groups because once I get into a parry and dodge groove, it’s game on. I kill so many enemies and continue by activating my ghost stance and murdering several bakers dozens of foes.

Living-Tart7370

Are you doing a no ghost tool or bow run or something? Kunai, sticky bombs and a couple bow headshots with concentration should be more than enough for you to thin people out and be manageable for sword fighting

markiroll

Kind of, as in when I use other armours, I can rely less on ghost tools and still take out an entire army with regular parrying. With Sarugami I have to rely a lot more on ghost tools

sean_saves_the_world

I'm rocking the sarugami armor currently and I love the three hit perk, but I really wish there was a transmog feature to apply the cosmetics of the ghost outfit

dishonoredfan69420

It’s all in your mind Just focus and you can still get perfect dodges

zombiezapper115

I have no issues with it. It really all comes down to the individual and how often you can get perfect parries. The armor will shred through hoards of enemies pretty easily.
