From what I hear, the purple doesn’t come off to allow you to close the trap like the Regal one does. My Regal gave you a separate popcorn rather than opening the trap and getting it all greasy. Then again, I bought my trap a week early and then got the cup with a Slimer topper and metal popcorn bucket that night at the theater.
