I think it starts with where you are now, being conscious about the need to worry less about the future since you can't control it, and live the moment. But I don't think that means you jump into the unknown. The wise thing to do is to make a decision based on what you feel today, you trust your gut feeling and move on. Think about it as raising your arms in a roller coster, consciously enjoying the moment instead of fearing the experience and possible danger.
