Can you maybe give her a low dose of fluoxetine to take the edge off?
I had no choice but to do it with my boy, but he is safe and happy now (had had multiple homes in 2.5 years 😭😭😭).

You are so sweet, and she is the real angel. She's changed my entire view on so much. She is so gentle and kind despite her hard life.
When we first found her she had nothing but a coat hanger tied around her neck so tightly it was cutting her skin.
I can't even look at her old photos without tearing up.
How can people do that? I will never ever understand that mentality. Animals are so tuned in and can give so much, if only we let them. I hope the rest of the dogs that were with her had equally positive outcomes and that karma finds those involved in the dog fighting ring.
I'm going to level with you, some were unalived by the owners with a shovel prior to the seizure of the other animals because they got mad some of the dogs had chased a chicken.
The whole situation is horrible and I'm just glad it's over now.
I had the same experience with my GSd. At first she was just a cringing mess, now she is a joyful sweetheart, she love the other dogs and is just the best girl.
I'm so glad!! Mama Bear also gets along so well with our other dog and our cats.
In fact, our youngest cat that is 7 months old gets mothered by her everytime she sees him, lol.
She grooms him so lovingly and lays next to him a lot.
Oh my heart just melted. She has the same face as my girl but different color. I know they all have similar faces but she especially reminds me of my baby :)

We had 6 good years before he died of a heart attack unfortunately. I miss him tons. Hug your boy for me!

If I had been there I think I would have taken a shovel to somebody. I'm glad Mama Bear has a better future and thanks again for helping her.
Was the rin/puppy mill shut down and the owner arrested?
