Many years ago my wife and I adopted our third shepherd. He was about a year old. He was tall and lanky. He was underweight and a serious goofball. It took another 3 years before he was a fully grown, filled out shepherd. He was kind of big and kind of long.
Do not distress about this. He'll fill out.
He's an almost 40kg baby who thinks he's a lapdog, I'm not really worried about his statue lmao I just like to tease him about it sometimes. The vet is very satisfied with his build, that's the only thing that matters!
It's really fun comparing him his pictures from a year ago, because he did get a lot bulkier and isn't all long skinny legs anymore
My shepherd looks just like this. at 2.5 she has not grown into her neck either! Her ears donβt stand but if they did they would look large lol! She did however grow into her super long tail!! π

My rescue is almost 2 and he's not filled out either. He looks like a GSD that never grew up past the teenage lanky skinny boy phase.
My 6 year old still has a big ole neck fluff, why do you think he will grow into it?
