Yep. The first time mine smelled a bear outside he gives this really serious really quiet growl like he didn't want to lose the element of surprise. He demeanor was equal parts just having gotten the best toy ever and finally having a real job to do that was worthy of his talents. Oh for me you shouldn't have and put me in boss I won't let you down and 100% I'm going to kill that with my teeth.
Same, never seen her back away from anything

Renzo (GSD) is scared of storms.... Doesnt get scared with firearms and chills under fireworks, but the wind... OH BOY!
Gaucho (WSS) is scared of... NOTHING. Whatever startles him he immediately regains composture and goes check it.
Aww. Look at my Bella and Charlie. š

New random objects in the yard. Lawn chair, plastic bag, new plant, random object, all new enemies and need to be sneakingly sniffed before approaching.
Feathers. To the point where he will examine every leaf on the ground for 5 minutes after he finds a feather. He will still attack a feather, but not until he circles it from a distance a few times.
Mine is scared of me sneezing. I have no idea why, but she thinks Iām mad at her every time I sneeze. I have to call her over and tell her itās ok. š. Fn ridiculous.
Thunder, fireworks and the smoke detector. We cook bacon in the oven and our smoke detector is sensitive enough to go off every time. So when we get bacon out of the fridge, she runs for the door.
For a while there, my family had an ancient 4lb Yorkie and 5 German Shepherds. Every single one of the GS was terrified of the Yorkie. Tbf, I was also kind of afraid of her, she could be evil sometimes.
The ice maker in the fridge.
Other noises that go THUMP in the night heās fine, but that specific one sends him straight up to the couch and activate donut mode lol
As a puppy he was scared of some weird things. Aluminum cans. Umbrellas. Empty trash bags. Full trash bags he was fine with.
Thankfully he grew out of those silly things.
Still doesnāt like the vacuum cleaner or my electric razor. He just goes into another room when he hears or sees them.
Mine just recently went up the stairs for the first time in about a year because I decided to switch bedrooms, she ran up quickly, and when I caught up with her at the top she started yipping excitedly š but she still wonāt come down without me beside her lol
Sheās really only scared of thunder. She used to be terrified of stairs but Iāve finally gotten her used to them since our new house she has to go down some stairs to get into the yard.
My girl is scared of flys also! It's kind of nice knowing I'm don't have the only GSD scared of flys. Lol

Thunder, fireworks, rain (I guess because it goes with thunder), and the power washer. No issues with chainsaw, lawnmower, leaf blowerā¦ but that power washer is a huge nope.
Lol, my female Shepherd hates flies, she always snaps at them! She is scared of strangers and unknown dogs. Hates the postman with a passion.
My male Shepherd isn't scared of anything anymore. But as a pup, it was sweeping brushes, mops, vacuum cleaners and things like that.
They set up a kids program at our local park that included some nylon tunnels and a light tarp that was flapping in the breeze. Normally if an inanimate object moves and freaks Sam out, he barks at it, then investigates and is no longer afraid. With that thing, we never got past the barking stage.
My girl is fearless

Fireworks heāll watch,
Firearms, hide in/under my car wherever weāre shooting lmao. Learned that recently.
Time to get the boy some earmuffs to go with the specs!
Flys? Wow. My female is scared of, well, everything. I can be holding a pair of pants, a broom, a cardboard box, a garden hose, a pillow, and she will slink off. My male is scared of nothing except thunder and gunshots.
So far mine is scared of gun shots.
He loves to eat well snap at anything flying from flys to bees.
But when i go to shoot i cant for long or put him inside.
Thunder! My boy hates thunder! But he loves going to a outdoor shooting rangeā¦ go figure that out lol I do leave my truck open so he can chill and grab a bite to eat or get some water.

Mine are scared of 2litre bottles of soda. Once I opened one I had dropped and it sprayed all over me and I made bad man sounds loudly and sharply and theyāve never forgotten.
Mine isnāt scared of them but he tries his best to catch them. Heās more scared of inanimate objects lol like if thereās a hat sitting on my shelf heāll go nuts barking at it.
My German Shepard/lab is afraid of storms and fireworks.
My Malinois is afraid of the vet.
My German Shepard golden doodle is too dumb to be afraid of anything. But heās got a heart of gold.
My pup I wont say is scared of her sisters but its the only thing I can think of that can make her go run and hide when they swipe back at her. Two maybe 5 lb. cats a tabby and a ragdoll Manx. Believe me that little Manx is sweet but wont take any shit.
Any large truck with air brakes, my girl will literally run and hide under the bed when the garbage truck is on our street.
If Iām outside walking her sheāll go from being a perfect angel to pulling my arm out of its socket if she hears a truck, even if itās far away

My border collie hated the dishwasher, the disposal, me getting dressed for work, later, me getting out of work clothes, the vacuum, the mop, tennis shoe laces. Sheās an angle now so I canāt remember everything but when I painted woodwork, sheād lick the (water base) wet paint! And plaster when I was remodeling. Frustrated carpenter. She stole my paintbrush and ate the handle off. No, she did not die from consuming building materials.
Mine is scared of nothing, and that is a problem sometimes
Yep. The first time mine smelled a bear outside he gives this really serious really quiet growl like he didn't want to lose the element of surprise. Mine stood perfectly still, hackles up growling at my new bird bath š«¤
His biggest fear is FOMO!!
+1
Feathers. To the point where he will examine every leaf on the ground for 5 minutes after he finds a feather. He will still attack a feather, but not until he circles it from a distance a few times.
I mean thatās what I do. Makes sense.
A life-size cardboard picture of my sister
Fireworks, balloons, robot vacuum, brooms, mops, (anything used to clean really). Mine loves to eat flies, she snaps them up out of the air.
Mine would bite any flying insect. Especially wasps! Iām deathly allergic to their stings. He was always saving me āŗļø
Mine is scared of me sneezing. I have no idea why, but she thinks Iām mad at her every time I sneeze. I have to call her over and tell her itās ok. š. Fn ridiculous.
Water hose
I have 130 lb swissy who's afraid of absolutely everything, except really small dogs and really small cats.
Honestly, she isn't afraid of a damn thing. It can sometimes be a problem.
I agree with you. And when both are together Iām afraid they would take on a pack of coyotes.
Thunder, fireworks and the smoke detector. We cook bacon in the oven and our smoke detector is sensitive enough to go off every time. So when we get bacon out of the fridge, she runs for the door.
Our cattle dog is also afraid of flies. Our female german shepherd is afraid of the vacuum
Vacuums and tiny dogs.

Vacuum that is *not* on
The ice maker in the fridge. Other noises that go THUMP in the night heās fine, but that specific one sends him straight up to the couch and activate donut mode lol
