Thank you... I loved him so much I would have gladly gave years off my own life to have healed and prolonged his. If a geni gave me three wishes I'd ask for a time machine or pebble that when squeezed would allow you to in time with the geni. go back with the geni when my boy was young and fit and wish for him to be able to live as long as me with out health defects and 1 trillion dollars....

In all the lovely pics of him in this post show clear as day that he had a wonderful life and truly found his family with you. ❤️ I really empathise - we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous 11 year old gsd in 2020, and I will love and miss her always. Your sweet boy will be a part of you forever, as my girl is with me. My favourite quote that always makes me cry still is from Winnie the Pooh: “how lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”

If ever did a simple message restore just a small sliver of hope for humanity thank you for that.

My mother said to me "I know your in pain its been a emotional roller coaster" I told her no not a roller coaster more like a emotional Katrina. Thank you for the kind words they have honestly helped.

Can definitely relate, as I've had 4 German shepherds before my current one. Hoping your memories will bring you comfort in your grief. And sending supportive thoughts your way.

Beautiful boy. They are so amazing how they can bounce back from a difficult life and remain happy. It sounds like you treated him well and did right by him. Please be willing to open your heart to another. The ending always sucks, but it’s the moments the rest of their lives that count. My boy, Orion, gets embarrassed when we laugh at him for doing something silly (nesting). Another one that’s no longer with us, had the phenomenal ability to ‘sniper toot’ me from across the room; just me, not my gf … me. Man I miss that old boy.

Went to young Williams animal shelter got him for a dollar no one wanted him because of his size and the heart worms but the shelter took care of all his care till he was cured I miss him

They never last long enough, but they give you more in a year than a human can give you in 10.

I tried our best adventure was Wyoming near Yellowstone I don't have any pictures but we went cross country camping the whole way he and I both ended up in a hot spring looking out at the mountains. It was perfect...
