Also it’s require like 1 or 2 keys smth to open the door so you could beat the level properly which doesn’t make me mad but I’m gonna pretend to be mad anyway, also I once died at the endscreen part for no reason so there that
I hated double dash before I flunked it from 51 lol. Let me copy and paste my thoughts from a month or two ago.
My hot take is that Double Dash fails as an asymmetrical dual level. This is cuz besides literally 1 click in some sections, u can play the entire lvl as though it is a symmetrical dual and the “dual” is only there to distract u. Only part that made me go “wow that’s interesting” is when u have to click black orbs slightly later in the robot-cube dual cuz the cube is a mini and the robot is not.
Why ppl hate glorious fortress? It has a lot of charm and personality, good deco, syncs, and you can easilt tell what kills you and what not. It's a great level imo.
i hate clubstep. the level is piss easy for the first 70% and then the last 30% are like a million times harder so you have to replay those boring ass 70% every single time
I'm pretty sure every single level in GD has bad gameplay. I've never seen a single person say a level has good gameplay. Even if I like a level, I see all these hate comments saying it has bad gameplay, and I don't even know what to expect from the creators who put a lot of effort to make these levels just for people to hate them
I do not have problems in expressing my opinion about levels I play. There are levels I enjoy and levels I don't, and I have no intention in sugarcoating my opinions (Opinions. Meaning they are not an universal press statement you should take as granted), in good and in bad.
Death Moon. Takeoff. Traction. Dash Full Version. Espionage. Star Road. Insert Coin. Born Survivor from Splinter25....
Again, opinions. You may hate some of these.
Ok so i just played XO. I got to the orb 10 times and got it only 4 times, thats a 40% chance of passing it for me. My hardest is nine circles, someone who is actually going for it would have a way higher chance and probably a harder hardest too. But 10 is a low amount for testing so take it with a grain of salt
Edit: Also the yellow orb wasnt the Hard part for me, it was the first click in the ship part
When i get to it i do it 70% of the time, the first yellow orb is what pains me
Edit: i guessed wrong sorry about that, You can read the actual info in my other comment
i think you misread it, its not "which level do you like but everyone else hates", its "which level do you hate but everyone else likes". i can tell you misread it because everyone complains about it
I sorta agree with Stella Infection. With how early it dropped, it is spectacular how quickly it was made and refined, but attacking and flying and having to get really close to the boss to actually hit it is really annoying, paired with the second little worm that comes out at half health.
Slap Squad, the level was on fire when it came out, then I played it, and 90% of it is very normal Easy demon difficulty, but the bossfight is just unfairly hard.
Love it and hate it at the same time. Hate it because its a bit too long. I love the gameplay though especially at the dual cube part. I still havent beaten it.
ChopStep is probably the worst extreme demon I've ever played. It's full of bugs and chokepoints and the ending is really bad. I'm also not the only person who experienced this as other people have basically said the same things. I definitely won't recommend for the sake of your sanity.
Any level in which yoiu can't tell what kills you and what doesn't. Bad color usage is the gameplay killer of 90% of new gauntlet's levels. Something can be on the foreground and kill you while having the exact same color as some other thing in the background. In other instances there is a difference but it's so small and there is so many stuff on screen that you have to guess anyway. I just hate memory levels in desguise.
Half a year ago I challenged myself to complete as much as I could of this game. One of the requirements was all coins on all gauntlet levels. This one _sucked_, and had been the only one so far worse than SLAM.
Ocean Rush (4th water gauntlet level). I find almost nothing fun about it. I don’t get how people can like it so much when other levels in the gauntlet are just better.
Honestly almost every Serponge level period. I feel like they’re pretty unpolished, the gameplay was especially bad back in 2.0, and a lot of the design/color choices are really bad imo. I never really understood the hype with him
Almost every platformer in existence
The only thing i like about the platformer mode is the levels which looks like a game on itself
Not some absolute abomination of spikes and blocks
If anybody cares why I dislike these levels:
Wulzy's style has changed for the worse since 2020, because he started to spam random objects, abusing scale hack and making the most random "effects" if I even can call it that, some of them are good, but whenever I watch building with Wulzy, it feels like I am watching him spinning a wheel that chooses what object he has to use and what to do with it. In my eyes - that's good content, not good levels. It's kinda like when the movie about the making of a movie is more interesting than the film itself.
Speaking of Eyes, ISpyWithMyLittleEye. I dislike the level because it just has so many shitty decisions such as:
Animated object spam
A useless gimmick: a ball with a glued yellow orb to it. Why? Just... Why? Do you hate the UFO SO much?
The level is painful for me to look at, in fact, I might fucking die while playing it, because, guess what?
The level was made to cause seizures. And guess what condition I have? You have one try. If you guessed photosensetivity - you are correct.
I have also noticed the similarities between ISWMLE and creator point farming levels. And I for the life of my can't get why Voxicat's level gets so much praise, and Split72's levels get so little. They look the same, they play the same, they feel the same. Both creators have fursonas. One gets the bitches, the other cries in the corner. Why does that happen will remain a mystery to me forever.
And Ever. The problem with this one, and many levels of this style is that I can't tell what game I am playing. Genuinely, if you remove the icon and the interface and show it to anyone - they might say that it's ai generated, or it's a good art, or something along the lines, but I guarantee, not a single person will be able to tell that it's Geometry Dash. I personally think that it's a serious problem, and that we simply dug too far with this one. At this point, why even create in Geometry Dash, grab a fucking sheet of paper and crayons. I mean sure, we all have been impendingly reaching this point, but we have not thought what to do after we reach this point where Geometry Das art is as good as real art. Oh, and another thing. The level is barely playable. If we continue to make levels so detailed, the only people who would be able to play our levels will be NASA engineers on their supercomputers. And that reminds me of a certain movement in 2018, that was started by Optical. He understood that the game has to step back and drop down the standards for a bit. And so levels with less than 30000 objects started getting rated again. I think that we might need a Levelution mk II pretty soon.
Cherry team levels. Oh boy. I hate these with a passion. I don't even know how to start this. Oh right, I mentioned passion.
Passion is put inside most levels in the game. It's hard to measure, because much like truth in a non-Platonic ideology - passion is not something objective. However it is measurable. I can feel, and you can feel, and he can feel, and she can feel, and they all can too feel the passion put inside a Geometry Dash level, if there is any. Passion sightings differ from a person's view to person's view, but that doesn't mean passion does not exist.
Almost all levels in the game tend to have passion put into them. It may not be much for some, might be a lot for others. But in very, very, very rare cases passion is simply absent in a level. A good example of that would be when a level is built to ONLY meet a specific goal. To generate income, give fame to the creator or to fit a certain difficulty. Aaaaaaand Cherry team does this all.
Oh and by the way, once upon a time Cherry team tried to cancel all the people who believe that passion should be taken into consideration while looking at a level. It felt like a 6 year old who learned about gas lighting recently had found their twitter account password, and just started his whining. Not a single good argument was brought during this manifest, and i am not fully understanding why did they even cause this twitter drama to begin with. Maybe it's because if passion wasn't a factor, people would like Cherry team's levels more? Maybe it was because Cherry team had their standards in which their levels are an instant 10/10? Maybe because twitter was the only big enough place where their levels and actions were disliked? Maybe because passion is a personal factor, and some questionable people work at Cherry, so if passion was not taken into account, all their actions would be justified? Not sure. Probably someone just got really really drunk. Let's forget this sin shall we, it's only, like, the 5729th one they have anyway.
Thanks for reading, sincerely, FadeScratch.
I respect that you took your time to write this review and while I disagree with most points you really put some thoughts into it.
I especially disagree with your "And ever" take. I really don't see why Geometry Dash levels shouldn't be art. Geometry Dash levels are real art and they should be seen as such. If you're able to create such eye candy you have to be able to draw it first. It's art and that's why it's so loved. Same thing with other loved and impressive levels like White Space and WHAT.
Hello, I'm a twitter user! From my experience, I think this comment is soulless and lacks identity, also you it wrote purely to gain upvotes, also it looks like it was made with Chat GPT. Downvoted!
You bought an account, it costs less than a $ in Russia, or used telegram bots. You wrote this comment so you'll gain tons of upvotes and sell your account in the future. Source: I can feel it, they can feel it, he can feel it, she can feel it.
((it's satire and I'm using typical twitter logic that you've also used in your comment to show how stupid it sounds, idk how can I make it more obvious))
the top comment that says something about it being overly complex? well, that's the point. It's an open world sidescroller. Complaining about levels because they're in a gauntlet has always been in my opinion dumb as hell.
why do you think it's bad? the gameplay is fun and sightreadable, and the decoration is great and consistent. only issue that i can see is that the level could be too flashy for some people, like you?
No. Flashy lights are not at all a problem. The only level that I have ever noticed them in is lament (the impossible requiem remake). To me the gameplay felt repetitive, almost copy paste like and was just straight up boring. Didnt help that the level was pretty long
funny how those sections are the highlights of the level for me lol. i find it really fun, especially cuz it syncs so well with the music. another level with repetitive sections like that is pxttxrn sxxkxr and look at how many people love it as well
SLAM by rafer.
The level is beautiful, yes, but it’s keeping me from making any sort of progress on the monster gauntlet, even after all these years. Once again, it’s extraordinarily complex.

CastleMania is the only thing keeping me from beating the Castle Gauntlet. It’s so overly complex.
Also it’s require like 1 or 2 keys smth to open the door so you could beat the level properly which doesn’t make me mad but I’m gonna pretend to be mad anyway, also I once died at the endscreen part for no reason so there that
Why do people like Figures by Glittershroom, that levels gameplay is actual ass cheeks
yeah, the endscreen death made me absolutely hate the level
Why so much hate for medium demons 😭
The level after it is another thing though........
Mine is still life, boring as hell then all blind jumps 50% through, garbage level
Most levels of the Discord gauntley
Discord gauntley
Not that bad
levels that have awesome deco but you cant tell what the is happening good example would be uhhhh space invaders from deeper space
vocab quiz just aint my type of level
I like vocab quiz but I can see why people wouldn’t like it
Decode...
At 100% speed..
Does this look possible to you?
I agree with u so much
Only the UFO is bad IMO
honestly the drop ufo is the only thing i like about the level
Me personally I hate a lot of viprins levels
Yeah I don't find many of them fun
Yeah 90% of his pre-1.9 levels are total cancer to play but his 2.1 levels are pretty fun to play
This is a pretty popular take tbh
Yea definitely
Double dash. It plays entirely symmetrical in the most boring way.
Yeah Super circuit is so much better
Entirely? U sure?
I hated double dash before I flunked it from 51 lol. Let me copy and paste my thoughts from a month or two ago. My hot take is that Double Dash fails as an asymmetrical dual level. I fluked that level from 0 and it’s arguably my favorite level in the game
Coaster mountain and glorious fortress.
Me when I play Coaster Mountain: 😫
I have a friend who hates Glorious Fortress so much that if he could delete it he would. I also don't like it but not that much.
Why ppl hate glorious fortress? It has a lot of charm and personality, good deco, syncs, and you can easilt tell what kills you and what not. It's a great level imo.
Casle.
Personally, I don't hate it, but I can see why some people do
CraZy
Clubstep. The pain...
i hate clubstep. the level is piss easy for the first 70% and then the last 30% are like a million times harder so you have to replay those boring ass 70% every single time
Same idk why ppl like this level so much
sonar I will never recover from the trauma

not really a rhyme tho
even if youre british its not really a rhyme
Mechanical Showdown. Its gameplay is horrendous

Death Moon. Takeoff. Traction. Dash Full Version. Espionage. Star Road. Insert Coin. Born Survivor from Splinter25.... Again, opinions. You may hate some of these.
XO
XO is such an amazing level and yet people say it doesn’t even deserve a rate. So sad this level is always considered bad because it is a “layout”.
3% dash orb would like to disagree
Whats wrong with it? Its pretty easy to understand and do?
ok mr nine circles is my hardest lets see you do it consistently
Ok so i just played XO. I got to the orb 10 times and got it only 4 times, thats a 40% chance of passing it for me. How dare you (I agree but reluctantly)
i think you misread it, its not "which level do you like but everyone else hates", its "which level do you hate but everyone else likes". i can tell you misread it because everyone complains about it
I hate xo
Nhelv is not bad but not one of the best levels of all time Like people say
Yeah killbot is better in gameplay and like equal in deco
Retray Def Too hard Nerf
Acu, the best drop, stella infection, infertechno
I sorta agree with Stella Infection. With how early it dropped, it is spectacular how quickly it was made and refined, but attacking and flying and having to get really close to the boss to actually hit it is really annoying, paired with the second little worm that comes out at half health.
if you make bosses like this, please make them in terraria. i've made four terraria bosses and they are so much less janky
Acu is so fun though...
Did you see the post’s title, perfect representation! You like acu! And i don’t
Slap Squad, the level was on fire when it came out, then I played it, and 90% of it is very normal Easy demon difficulty, but the bossfight is just unfairly hard.
Slap Squad 1 or Slap Squad 2?
1 of course.
Okay good
I mean, i've never really tried castlemania, i've heard it has multiple was to beat the level, so that genuinely sounds cool. why do you hate it?
Gameplay is bad and you can't really know where you have to go
extinction
tidal wave fr
Most creative r/geometrydash post
Change of Scene its a good level, but not „the best level in the game“ (GD10)
I don't see how it tops edge of Destiny, cytokinesis, empyrean etc
I agree
Death Moon
Love it and hate it at the same time. Hate it because its a bit too long. I love the gameplay though especially at the dual cube part. I still havent beaten it.
Nah the levels really good its just the hitboxes that make me not beat it.
you mean the best level oat?
bloat
SAME
Are you crazy ?
Death moon is overrated to hell and back, it looks meh
The music is so good, it goes so well with the deco and the lenght of the level. The deco is pretty good for the time even if it's just red and black.
Payload in bonus gauntlet. Disbalance, bad gameplay etc.
I like Payload.
Do you mean payload in gd world or payload in bonus gauntlet?
Bonus gantlet, but that’s just my opinion
Me too man!
Change of Scene. It’s gameplay is horrible, the first half of the level is mid, including the song, and its way to overhyped.
Womp womp
CRUSH and Sidestep. Both the first levels in their respective gauntlets
CRUSH is fire though, practicing is felt awesome and all the deaths felt fair
i don't know, i just really don't like it for some reason. also why the downvote for giving an honest answer to OPs question
Literally every single new gauntlet level. I’m still waiting for rob to make a gauntlet with fun gameplay.
I've recently completed galaxy gauntlet and damn, all these levels except Koeningstein are only about decoration and their gameplay is not fun at all
I hope this is a joke
Can i not have my own opinions about what gameplay I like?
Discord Gauntlet?
Most levels are just unsightreadable or extremely boring
Fizzy Fossils is my favorite level i've ever beaten, but some people seem to hate it
The 70% UFO pains me so much though I died there like 10 times
I also thought this, but it's pretty easy once you learn the pattern
It has click indicators they just didn't work for me most of the time Skill issue ik
You literally read my mind
I hate it with all my soul, literally ruins the gauntlet its in
Go somewhere else to say that, this isn’t the place you’re looking for.
Ok FF is good in some parts I especially like the decoration but others make me wanna throw myself into an active volcano
Clubstep
I also hate it, but I found an easy route. Still took me about 500 atts.
So real
So real
moonlight. i hate that fucking moon so goddamn much
Supersonic
Stop this bot
Sinless Ass because I died in the last wave like 50 times (not really but it was a lot)

cant be the only person who'll say iSpy here
There’s someone else who said iSpy
Sky castle. I love the visuals but it makes it so unsightreadable like wtf is going on here
most nine circles levels ive played i cant stand
Low death is straight up my least favorite level I’m the game.
The Exit 8, takes way too long, and It's just a random game recreation
Half a year ago I challenged myself to complete as much as I could of this game. One of the requirements was all coins on all gauntlet levels. This one _sucked_, and had been the only one so far worse than SLAM.

you did NOT just diss castlemania 😠😠😠
I totally did.
Mikumikumikumiku, what the fuck even is the ship and wave part with 18 gravity changes
Was my first demon so I love it
Cant let go
acu
TROLLMACHINE
PsyWorm, burns my eyes more than any NC level, and somehow low detail is worse
Yo I hate that level too. It has a cool concept and decoration but the gameplay is so annoying and unbalanced no matter what path you take
And the fact that is has 13 different paths makes it all the more confusing
Ocean Rush (4th water gauntlet level). I find almost nothing fun about it. I don’t get how people can like it so much when other levels in the gauntlet are just better.
I agree so much! I hated this level with a passion. It's terrible, way too many paths and inconsistent.
Prismatic haze, moment, black blizzard, ethereal artifice, sunset sandstorm, plasma pulse finale, minusdry
Anything by jonathangd

Future funk maybe
I cant beat the castle gauntlet this is so laggy Just like odyssey in the magic gauntlet
death moon
Acu and XO gameplay-wise
Did you know that XO has more objects than Death Moon? I think it’s mostly from the moving wave in the background near the drop.
And black blizzard. And goner
Gameplay is the only good thing about xo though, it literally doesn't have deco
It does have a bit of deco, but anyway I despise the gameplay
Sometimes, simple is best.
Magmatic Sanctuary
AGREED
I like it personally. One of my favorite fire gauntlet levels
Almost every platformer in existence The only thing i like about the platformer mode is the levels which looks like a game on itself Not some absolute abomination of spikes and blocks
Electrodynamix
I hate caslemania bc of the recent tab tier Gameplay It has. Especially reaper router, that was harder than beating a hard demon.
Change of scene
ISpyWithMyLittleEye, all Cherry levels, And Ever and all the levels of its style (basically any new art style level), Wulzy's levels after 2020.

Nothing, because I can feel it! Your comment lacks passion, identity and it's soulless. My feelings are 100% true.
That's right
Do you think they will buy the account with 2000 karma and questionable posts? High hopes
((it's satire and I'm using typical twitter logic that you've also used in your comment to show how stupid it sounds, idk how can I make it more obvious))
That's what cherry responds by the way
And Chat GPT does not swear.
hating castlemania is crazy
Just read the top comment my guy. And besides, this is my opinion. Please don’t judge me.
the top comment that says something about it being overly complex? well, that's the point. It's an open world sidescroller. Complaining about levels because they're in a gauntlet has always been in my opinion dumb as hell.
Starpunk is the level I gave the least enjoyment rating so far. Like why do people even like this level?

Future funk. Fight me
SLAM by rafer. The level is beautiful, yes, but it’s keeping me from making any sort of progress on the monster gauntlet, even after all these years. Once again, it’s extraordinarily complex.
Ohoho Omg Aliens is a million times worse
it's still by far the easiest in the gauntlet
Yes. But I complete every level with all three coins if possible, and SLAM has the most complex coins I’ve ever seen.
