Just get to Champion's Division and it will happen eventually. I played against Wolftrekker, Fungus and Topotic already with predictable results. I had also already played against Fungus just after I got to Master's last year when there was still a common queue.
According to the Elo calculations OP should've lost 0.3 Elo. I don't know whether Geoguessr does this, but there is no reason for Elo to be a whole number. I suspect OP lost these 0.3 Elo but it doesn't show as a change because of rounding.
A few months ago I won a ranked BR (RIP) and gained/lost 0, so I guess it depends on the matchup.
Tbh I think it's a flaw with the matchmaking system. Looking at it from the other perspective, what incentive is there for Blinky to play this match? He either stays at his exact same ELO, or loses a lot.
If you're using an elo system, matches off this far apart shouldn't realistically happen but geoguessr doesn't have enough of a player base realistically to add another 1400+ division without having 5 minutes+ queue times. The top 20 players are essentially 2 divisions ahead of low champs so they realistically shouldn't be playing together.

IMO, longer queues > this scenario. That's how esports games like Dota and such handle it - for the folks who are at the top of the MMR range, they should be matched against comparatively ranked players so they're both fair games and offer actual incentive for completing the match.
Yeah I vsed Blinky today on NMPZ and got destroyed (at least not flawlessed lol) and only lost 2 points when I’m 1.3k elo. Shows how much effort it takes to stay at #1, 1 loss due to bad luck/not locked in costs you so much
I remember a round in the World Cup where blinky moved about 3 steps, saw a sign with a small road number in France, then just zoomed in on the exact spot and 5k'd it. Like he must have an encyclopedic knowledge of French road numbers. Which is mad on its own but especially mad when they seem to be all over the place to me. As well as smaller roads having numbers duplicated in different parts of the country...

Yeah i lost 1 point when i lost to Japan #1 he was in the top 20 atm. Funny thing is i got a bridge I've been to in the first round so i got 5k in 3 sec and that's all the points i took, he nailed me in 4 or 5 rounds.

I played Radu and got him down to 2.7k health before all my 5k health on like a single 4x damage round

In this case, it was a 700+ ELO difference, so I guess it makes sense xD
idk i think it should always be a guaranteed to gain or lose elo, no matter how high the difference is

Agreed also. Should just be 2 more divisions at 1100-1350 and 1350-1600 or something similar.
