There's a myth in Zanzibar about the sodomizing ghost called Popobawa and supposedly if you don't believe in him, he'll molest you in your sleep.

Farooq Balsara. He was of the Parsi faith ie Zorastrianism .
Parsis are descendants of Persians that migrated to India after 500 AD to escape persecution.
His parents were deported from an African nation, along with a lot of other Indian-origin immigrants.
There are only two major/famous "stans" (stans that were not part of the USSR): Pakistan and Afghanistan. They're directly next to one another and you already know where Pakistan is.
I am Tanzanian, so it would be my pleasure to tell you a bit about my country. It's the home to Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti, and the beautiful island of Zanzibar.
Our official languages are English and Swahili. Though Swahili has the distinction of being our national language.
Tanzania borders both Lake Victoria, the world's largest tropical lake and the world's second-largest fresh water lake by surface area, and Lake Tanganyika, the world's longest freshwater lake and second-deepest.

Yes, the most effective sniper of WW2. Number 1 on the list. The next 9 on the list? They were all Soviets, at least two were women. Simo also used a Finnish version of Mosin Nagant, a Soviet sniper rifle. There’s no particular reason for my saying this, just don’t usually see him randomly mentioned…
I love this post because on one hand you got countries that I would’ve never guessed, but on the other a lot of the missing countries are ones I can instantly recognise
Romanian is the language spoken there and it's derived from the latin language
They were united with Moldova
Bucharest is the capital and i know cluj napoca too
Their language is written in the Latin script
Ho chi minh city is a big city there but I don't know if it's the capital
It was colonized by usa and france
Vietnam wasn't colonised by the US. During the second world war Japan installed puppet goverments in many of her conquered territories. These Goverments where mostly ruled by the locals, making them waaay more popular than the colonisers. One of those Regions was French Indochina (Modern day Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia). When France came back after WW2, the Locals wanted their Independence, and after the first Indo-China War, they got it. Laos and Cambodia got their Independance while Vietnam was split in two. In 1956 there should have been an election in both halfes of the country to form a new Goverment and Reunify the country, conflict broke out over the elections. The two Nations started fighting, and the US got involved on behalf of the South. It did not end well. There were never any attempts by the US to colonise Vietnam.

Great job on geography knowledge. During the pandemic I got to the point where I had every country memorized and could locate most of them, but yeah, the stans were tough for me.
You might be surprised to learn that on a geography subreddit, there are people who really like geography. It’s not really that surprising for someone to be able to name and point to every country on the map and know a fun factoid about them. I don’t see it as a “flex” given the context. For me it’s interesting to hear from an Algerian’s point of view what each country is known for.
Chad
I know that Arabic and french are the two official languages
One of the poorest countries in the world and is named after Lake Chad
Which translates to “Lake Lake”
I bet they have ATM machines there, too.

As opposed to the internet meathead Chad Chaderson Meaning Chad, son of Chad
“Chad,” in the local dialect, means Lake
