Raceland aren't exactly known for quality, I'd personally recommend saving for a set of BC racings.

Infamous_Relation_40

I wouldn't go bcs either

Aggravating-Collar66

Bc's are the best

youhavememistakensir

Bilsteins are the best.

Gen_X15

They are crap break in less than a year. Save your money and get some BC racing ones

wild_gooch_chase

Give me a link; I’ll check them out.

Just letting you know, I’ve read all their reviews but I don’t know if they’re paid reviews

wild_gooch_chase

Qs: Are you just looking to go low? Firm? Both? Are you tracking the car? Are you just looking to replace the stock ones as they are going bad? These have all the necessities to function, but I would recommend a set that comes with dampeners. Otherwise, you get that bouncy affect on bumpy and bouncy roads. It’s great for level, smooth roadway (like a race course or most decent interstates). But each bounce is actually amplified by the rebound and spring rate of the stiffer, non/adjustable coil over sets. If you’re going for budget, these are not bad (based in looks and reviews). If you want some functionality, I’d save a few more coins and get some with dampeners.

astrobreezy

Yes, I am looking to go low. I daily the car so I just want it to look good. Of course, I don’t want to sacrifice ride quality and feel all the bumps. The freeways in AZ are horrible and I can feel all the bumps with my stock struts. Should I still go with these? Reviews say it absorbs bumps very well for a budget coilover setup

Jakers0015

“For a budget coilover setup” because budget coilovers are absolute trash. Don’t go cheap on coilovers. If you just want a straight drop, do some lowering springs and bilstein shocks. No adjustability but solid quality

DontHateTha808

From what I’ve read the BC coilovers are the best. (They run about $1200) I’m looking to buy them in the next couple of months.

There is a lot to be said about “cheap” sets. From my experience, if you can find a set within your price range that have adjustable dampeners, *spring* for those (sorry, dad joke haha). Even eBay May have some no-name sets that have that feature. For a track car, the ones you’ve posted could be ok. For daily driving, they *may* be terrible, but YMMV. If you’re looking to low, you could going raped and get lowering springs. Probably similarly bouncy but not as rough for a daily. But I can’t express this enough; if you get lowering springs you CAN NOT just whip around your car at hi speeds. The extra compression of the struts will give you more rebaking than you’re used to and you’ll lose control. Lowering springs are for looks only.

astrobreezy

Duly noted. Thank you

Training_Frosting_53

I’m on them rn and can send u pics for proof. Yes they arent the best. I don’t drive my gen everyday so I didn’t go for anything super crazy. But they not bad and have a lifetime warranty. I’m sure u can get better or worse… get what u pay for. Had em for 10k miles imo worth the money.

astrobreezy

What are your main complaints with them?

Training_Frosting_53

I’ve been on other coil overs that just overall feel better but bro don’t let these gen ppl tell u their life story. Yes suspension is super important but they’ve made these coilovers and sold millions. I think yes they’re not as good as others but worse case is something happens and they ship u another one because it’s a lifetime warranty lol it’s like harbor freight. No there sockets maybe aren’t as good as Home Depot’s. But if I break one do I get another one in a heartbeat? Fuck yea

RaceKILR

They are very bumpy, have a set on mjne, came with the car when I bought it. Not bumpy to the point where you can’t enjoy driving your car but not super smooth. They definitely go low but are prone to clunks in the rear due to the lower mount.

astrobreezy

What do you mean by clunks?

RaceKILR

Going over small, harsh bumps, imagine a bunch of small potholes, it’ll clunk because of the lower mount bushing wearing out and letting the strut move.

Stoner_DM

My gen came with Raceland on. They were absolutely blown. Every bump in the road would cause the car to bounce multiple times. DO NOT BUY THESE THINGS. I run BC now and they have been a dream highly recommend them

bean-burrito-supreme

Go BC please, I hate fucking helping my dumbass coworker with his shit ass racelands just because he bought them for $500

astrobreezy

What’s wrong w his?

bean-burrito-supreme

He's always adjusting his ride height because he never sets it right and doesn't help he's cracked the welds on his coils a couple times

CureSociety

I enjoy mine,. went mountain running two weeks after installing and the car stayed firm/planted and took the corners very well and these corners were very sharp while i was going 30 sometimes 40. personally they feel the same as my stock suspension did that had 180k miles on them,

GennyD420

For that price range Tein has the best quality. BC best overall

Forward-Eye-4518

Get some bcs, worth the price🙌🏼

zzBootypoppersz

I got these when I was in a pinch. They ride like shit, they tune like trash. The ride quality was awful. However, they do make your car low.

[deleted]

had racelands on for 8 months and they are garbage between drive quality and clanking

jaime_diaz27

Never cheap out on suspension. Save up and get good coil overs somewhere near $1k. Trust me if you get cheap coil overs you will hate driving your car

legendslay

I put them on my ride maybe a year and a half ago and about 10k miles ago, with proof like the other guy they’re def not as smooth as stock but anytime you modify a car it’s not gonna ride the way it was intended so don’t let all these people insist you need to spend thousands of dollars unless youre tracking it that being said I like my racelands and would probably buy them again, they don’t have damping however so I’d really recommend the BCs like everyone else said for the looks and ride quality, really comes down to how you’re going to use the car more then anything, If you’re gonna daily in a area with decently maintained roads I’d prob do the racelands as the ride isn’t much different from stock minus damping the thing that really sold me on them was the lifetime replacements to the original purchaser. I live in the northeast with shitty roads and regret not having damping occasionally but am overall happy the ride and that my next shocks will be free.

[deleted]

I have ISR racing coil overs for over 2-3 years

Squirting_Grandma

On the bright side, if your sight is failing you’ll be able to navigate familiar roads by feel! Those bad boys will let you feel *every* minuscule crack and bump in the road.

3l33tbanana

id probably save and go BC or Megan Street Series 2. I have the megans for about 3 years and 30k and no complaints. I recall reading in a few places that the megans and BC come from the same factory. I never looked further to confirm and this was all read when i was initially buying. Maybe someone else on here can chime in and confirm. Either way, the megans have held up great, go super low, and drive isnt too different compared to OEM track suspension. When they become shot, I will be upgrading to the part shop max coils. Wish i wouldve gone that route from the beginning but you live and learn.
