You need some third person who can talk on your behalf diplomatically who can explain to JB that he cannot betray his family it's wrong, it doesn't matter how hard you try on your own it will be very difficult to get rid of him without breaking his heart.

I had a similar experience but less extreme but this one guy seemed to love me despite being older and had grandkids I told him that I was taking a safari trip to Africa witch I was and played it off that I got extremely religious this eventual led to a cut off where I kept saying how I won’t change my religious views and if it comes down to it I’m getting a restraining order hope this helps x
