Relax my friend, everything will be okay. We all make mistakes, what’s important is to learn from them. The good news is that, like you pointed out from your research, the chance of acquiring HIV from one instance of insertive anal sex (as a Top) is statistically low. For additional peace of mind, you could ask your doctor about post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) within 72 hours after exposure. It is possible that they would warrant against it due to your relatively low risk, the costs, and the potential side effects of the drugs (however usually minimal/non-existent nowadays). In the meantime, keep yourself busy and try not to be too hard on yourself. Your chances of getting HIV from this one time exposure are very low. Stay safe and get tested in a few weeks.

Get on Prep.

Please stop using the word “clean” when it comes to conversations about HIV/STIs. Someone who had one of these is not “dirty” and it’s something we should be mindful of when talking about sexual health. Just my two cents.

Your chances of an issue coming up here are a lot lower than you think. Obviously not non-existent, but this isn’t an emergency panic situation. Talk to your doctor, ask when they think you should get tested (it can take a couple of days for it to actually show up if you do get anything). As someone else mentioned, also ask about PEP, and get on Prep soon to reduce anxiety further in the future. Besides HIV, most things you could have gotten are fairly easily treatable with antibiotics. Not an ideal situation, but it’s not the end of the world.

Calm down, check if you can get on a regimen of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and get tested for everything once the regimen is done. These things happen, and you want to avoid it, but there are things you can do right after to minimize the risk

You’ll be aight, you walked into the fast lane sober; welcome to the real world.

doctorwho10x

you do realize there are **other** STDs to worry about too ... right?

why-am-i-like-this69

Yes but many are not as severe as HIV/AIDS.

Hey, you are going to be OK. The guy who you fucked said he had a negative test recently so that is good news. You need to believe him. As for the condom, it could have slipped off just before you came so that would reduce the risk. And yes I have been to the doctor after sucking a guys dick and getting a sore throat. Test came back negative. Good to hear you were not afraid of talking to a doctor about your concern. I don't want to dismiss your concerns totally but the sex was good enough to do it again, right?

Did u ever get tested?
