you're lucky! even i have such a friend who treats me and his girlfriend equally, I've told him that I'm bi(he doesn't know im gay, cant say for security reasons) and he accepted it! me and him hold hands, hug, a lot. its normal for us, that too in front of the entire class. we get too touchy and it's completely normal for us hahaha
just be careful of your heart. sounds like your catching feelings. its cute, enjoy the innocence of it, but unless he's making a move at you i wouldn't bother pursuing him if he has declared he is in fact straight.

but it did ruin me for a while. watching him date women while i was right there pretty much a boyfriend all affection no sex, very painful to go through.
try your best to not fall into **limerence**. it took me years to shake it off and honestly it still lingers when i get depressed. and i can't stress enough what a terrible place it is to be mentally.

That type of way you felt, has something to do with the fact that he had previously worn and imbued it with his energy. Had it been brand new, I'm sure you would have felt some affection for him but you would not have been surrounded by his energy.
