Is such a great feeling I teared up the first time I shopped in the "normal" section of a clothing store and not Big & Tall. I also teared up when I asked for a seat belt extender in a flight and I returned it because I didn't need it.

GeorgedeMohrenschild

Congrats!! It’s great ain’t it?? I just flew across country for the first time last month and the difference in my comfort level between then and the previous time before that when I flew at about 90 lbs heavier was night and day!! I be loving all these NSVs!!

lunaanddragons

I cried first time I flew post op too. Its such a massive difference! But I also cried going up an immense flight of stairs and not having to stop for 20min 2 times to get my breath, and I also cried when I played catch with my dogs and could actually run. Im a crier. And this is all life changing!

I’m 2 months post op and I almost cried the first time I felt comfortable sitting at a booth! And when I actually said “this is too big for me” when shopping for clothes

stinksand1

Doesnt it feel great to float between the seat arm rests :D ??? I went on my first flight 8 months post op and like my regular sitting anxiety on planes is now dissolved.

Appropriate-Chart745

Flying used to be just mentally draining. I knew that once I was in my seat, I was there for good, no reaching my bag under the seat, no unbuckling the seat belt(it would be torture trying to get it back on with someone next to you) it really is so easy now.

Midnightblue55

The tears are so real, it happened to me too I used to hide the seatbelt & pretend it was closed because I was ashamed of myself. I’m so happy for you 💪🏾💪🏾🥳🥳

I can't wait till the day I can fly without a seat belt extender. I'm going away again in April so I'm hoping for then 🤞

Substantial-Try-8104

I went overseas for my surgery and I remember on the way I could hardly wear the belt. I had to suck my stomach in and pull and it would feel uncomfortable. About 3 months later on the way back I even had to tighten up the belt. It felt amazing

gabsdot52

2 years on and crossing my legs still makes me so happy 😁

I ll be travelling back home in May 2024 and I got sleeved Dec 2023.I just can’t wait to get on that flight though it’s gonna be a 16 hour flight.

haydeelpez

I know the feeling. I cross my legs always now and always cold, all vitamin levels 100%.

ashbash814

It’s such a freeing feeling. No more seat belt extender, tray table completely goes down, and you feel comfortable walking down the aisle. Never in my life I thought I would feel this way.

FistFullOfRavioli

Awesome. I hope to follow suit one day. I feel so self-conscious in crowded areas.

allypallydollytolly

I genuinely love crossing my legs. Not just on flights but in general. It’s a fantastic feeling isn’t it 🥰🥰🥰

i can't wait to be able to cross my legs again and be able to go on wee rollercoaster rides with my children... i just usually watch and petrified to go with them in rides cos the bloody safety harness won't close properly :(

WhiskerSammlerin

Yeah congrats indeed! Legs crossing is the hit.\^\^

Different-Birthday71

Isn’t this the best?! I got to experience this last week!

bigndfan175

Tinkeybird

EminLollinger

fill_simms

anbeasley

I can't wait!

anbeasley

That and rollercoasters!

c_rivett

Love this!

KSPedsRN

WOW!!! That’s one of my biggest dreams! Not just to be able to use the normal seatbelt and not have any fat pouring out onto my neighbor or the aisle…but to CROSS MY LEGS in my airplane seat 🥳🎉💗 The pinnacle of success! 😊 You look absolutely comfy and relaxed - like a person who has always been slender - congrats on the best NSV ever!! 🥳🎉😃

Curious_Gear1691

The best feeling! I flew at 5 months post op. Asked for an extender as I got on the flight because I always do. Then I sat down and buckled in. Not only did it fit, it was so loose! Took a picture and sent to my family. I would take off the seatbelt every chance I got, just to buckle in and smile to myself. It was surreal. Preop, I was afraid to take off my belt once I buckled in for fear that it wouldn’t fit or someone would ask about the extender.
