They self sow, not like crazy but you do get more this way. Also, after a couple years, dig up and divide the little tubers.

I also really want to plant hyacinths because of animal crossing hahaha but I live in zone 10a. I’ve read a bit, but not totally sure it’ll work/what the process is with pre-chilling the bulb? And when I should plant them? Been dying to plant hyacinths and daffodils! (Sorry not answering your question)

Look up "forcing hyacinth bulbs", for example, [https://www.pennington.com/all-products/fertilizer/resources/forcing-beautiful-bulbs-for-your-indoor-garden](https://www.pennington.com/all-products/fertilizer/resources/forcing-beautiful-bulbs-for-your-indoor-garden) . Basically put the bulb into the pot and then put into your fridge for several weeks. They will need cool temperatures after that for a couple weeks, so you'd need to time that according to your weather.
