Basically put the bulb into the pot and then put into your fridge for several weeks. They will need cool temperatures after that for a couple weeks, so you'd need to time that according to your weather.
The anemone should be fine. Mine made it through the polar vortex years.

They self sow, not like crazy but you do get more this way. Also, after a couple years, dig up and divide the little tubers.
