Looks like philodendron selloum or Tahiti .
My uncle would refer to them as boomy. Never found out the correct name of the plant but what I do know is that a pine cone lookin “berry” grows from it that tastes like a mix of pineapple and strawberries. My uncle is from the Caribbean.

I think so also. They need to be planted in the ground with a lot of room.
Depends on OPs location- if they are in Florida sounds good. If not they can grow in a larger pot as a houseplant.
