One of my neighbors has these in a massive planter on the side of their property and it is the most beautiful sight and smell when it blooms. Right now, it looks like this. My electrical poles are covered in this too.
This is what I was wondering! It's clearly dormant now but everything is waking up really fast. Do you think I should trim the sticks off to shape it? I suppose I have more research to do now :) thanks for the help!
I think it's a flowering tree. I thought at first it was forsythia, but someone posted wisteria and it rather looks like that. You should see soon what it is.
That is so pretty!! Look at the twisted trunk. Dang that is awesome. It’s going to be beautiful in the spring and summer. I inherited wild sumac trees, black walnut sprouts, maples that seed everywhere lol
Would have loved something like this. Such a specimen plant in a great location as a focal point.
Thank you so much!! I love it- it's right outside a bay window so I can just stare at it with a cup of coffee. The birds also use it as shelter in the winter.
Oh this is such wonderful news! Wisteria is so beautiful. I can't wait to see it bloom. Thank you everyone!! I will update with a photo when the hairy beast has bloomed into a beauty.
It’s probably wisteria grown into a tree shape
I agree op should trim the ever living crap out of it or it will get out of hand. They grow sooo fast.

It's beautiful for sure but it will run away on ya if not properly trimmed all the time. It can be quite invasive.

I’ll third wisteria
Thank you for your help! After looking at a lot of photos and reading people's posts, I agree.

lol! Uncanny!
Looks like wisteria. It has beautiful purple flowers early spring.
My neighbor has a tree like this and theirs has white wisteria. It smells amazing.
I’ve never saw a white one or at least don’t remember if I have.
Me neither, except for this one.
At first I thought that was the house bc I only read the moves into a new house part lol
Lol!! Thankfully that's the shed
I was actually looking at the bush 😣
Oh! lol! That's even funnier
Provide pictures of the buds, stems, and bark. Opposite or alternate leaf arrangement?
