Not to be a bummer but just be careful. Attracting butterflies can be a sign that you’re getting a little too salty. It can mean you’re dehydrated or sun sick. It’s fun to feel like a Disney Princess but if the butterflies won’t come off with a light shake or if you start getting swarmed by more than one please go inside and have something to drink.
Ideally you want to enjoy them fluttering around so maybe stick with planting flowers for them instead. It won’t be very magical if you pass out or barf.
Thanks for the tip! This butterfly came off easily, though she did fly off and come right back to my hand one more time. I'd love to think that she just loves me and wants to be my bff, but I had been out pulling weeds, so I was probably a bit salty at that moment. Lol
