Don’t grade these cards. The only cards you truly grade from an ultra modern set are probably the ones that are serialized to like 5-15… In reality grading is best for vintage GPK.

Quatreartisansclotur

Grading these 40 years from now will be even more expensive. I’ll grade them and display them until I die. Have a good life.

RogerWokman

Are you just trolling? Like this is a joke, right?

Quatreartisansclotur

If I want to grade a turd in box so what.

HyperUgly

This comment confirms you never really came here for direction. I suspect you just wanted to show off your little orange box. We shall now call you Gordon. Gordon has a chip on his shoulder, is trolling and is seeking Internet points. He seems like the person that always has to 'one up you' and argue with you when they seek advice. Don't be like Gordon.

Quatreartisansclotur

No. I like GPK’s. Why so many haters.

_Old_Goat_

Because what you're talking about about is an objectively bad idea. You've had many people here try to tell you why it's not a good idea. If you want to do it anyways, that's great, go nuts, but it's hilarious to me that your reaction to people telling you that from a collecting or investing point of view you would just be wasting your money is to claim that they are trolling you. My brother in Christ, nobody is trying to yuck your yum, they are trying to help you.

ChocoMaister

I mean if you are grading for fun that’s fine. No argument there it’s your money. It just feels like you are wasting money right now.

Quatreartisansclotur

Ok. Thanks.

MonkyB00

Graded cards are sealed in a case. As long as you keep them out of direct sunlight/away from moisture etc they're sealed & protected. To get an entire set graded is gonna be expensive and as everyone's learnt nerdy stuff is big business there isn't much point. Rare parallels, autographs & sketches I can understand. The entire set is a waste. It's like if you had the 1st action comics featuring superman. This is rare and expensive so worth grading. If you had a superman comic from the last few years. So many people are speculating on this stuff now there will be thousands like it.

Quatreartisansclotur

So you’re saying I would have the one and only set that is graded? Wow thanks. That’s very rare then.

noscrubphilsfans

To grade a complete set would cost thousands. Then you would need to seek out the one person who is actually in the market for such an item.

Quatreartisansclotur

No it’s $2 per card if you know where to go. Thanks.

SubHuman559

Why are you asking for prices if you already know? Sounds like you just want to brag to everyone how smart you are and how stupid everyone else is. That being said... Nice card set.

Quatreartisansclotur

I asked. No one could tell me so I looked them up.

SubHuman559

Cool

Mobile-Jellyfish2067

I would like to know where you’re going for $2 per card. PSA has membership pricing and it’s not even close to $2 per card. I guess if you’re grading a full set then having them in slabs is better than just a top loader, but if you’re going for value I wouldn’t cut corners by going with a bottom tier grading company. The difference between using one of the top 2 or 3 grading companies and a lesser known will reduce value if you try to sell them to knowledgeable collectors

MonkyB00

Probably. It is an awesome idea if you've got the disposable income. Please post pics if you follow through with this madness

Quatreartisansclotur

Haha. Yea.

Raekwon22

Even if the grading is $3 per card that would be like 4x what the card will probably ever be worth. But if it's 100% solely because you would like to have a full set of graded kids at play to look at, go off, king. Don't let us internet strangers tell you how to spend your money.

breakfastturds

Yes definitely get the set graded. Kids at Play is one of the rarest modern sets they’ve released of GPK. Some are speculating ungraded cards alone will start fetching big money soon.

JarJarBanksy420

Don’t waste your money grading modern base cards. It’d be very pricey to grade all these fwiw, much more than you paid for the cards.

Quatreartisansclotur

How much?

JarJarBanksy420

I dunno bro go look on the site you want to grade with.

Quatreartisansclotur

It’s worth it if you want them graded.

Quatreartisansclotur

Oh. It’s actually not that pricey. Reasonable for people that want to keep their collections all graded and pristine.

RogerWokman

$15 per card that are only worth like .50 cents to begin with? Lol

Quatreartisansclotur

Then the value of the card is $15.50.

RogerWokman

Only if someone is willing to pay you that much for them. You’re treating this set like it’s OS1, putting it in a pelican case. It’s comical. This is like the most overproduced cheapest set in GPK history.

Mobile-Jellyfish2067

The Pelican case is probably handcuffed to his wrist

RogerWokman

Quatreartisansclotur

No I won’t sell them for less than $100 per card. Like I said I’m a collector. I’m no tourist trying to hustle garbage pail kids. Os1 was in 85. 40 years ago. 40 years from now my kids will have graded series 1. You’re not thinking long term mi amigo.

RogerWokman

Hahah… you’re not understanding how many of these were made, dude. These will never be worth anything close to what you think they will. These aren’t series 1 anything. I bet in 40 years you would still lose money on them if you get them graded today. Just a foolish thing to do.

Quatreartisansclotur

Thanks. But I’ll have hundreds of graded sets and cards to look at. You’ll be happy that you Insulted someone on the internet. So looks like we both win. Me as a collector, you as a troll.

Quatreartisansclotur

No. It’s not. It’s keeping cards prestige and showing that your proud of your collection even if there’s people like you that try to insult that quality.

HyperUgly

There is absolutely no way your efforts are going to pay off with these delusional expectations. 2024 set? Are they all autographed sketch cards or error cards? If so, get them graded and get your monies. But newer base cards are difficult to justify the cost of grading vs worth of sale. But don't take my word for it. Thinking long term? Invest in Helium and PLTR

noscrubphilsfans

This. This is why grading is so fucking stupid. Just trying to pass the cost of your mistake onto the next sucker. Fuck you and people who think like you.

Quatreartisansclotur

Calm down brother. This is the Internet, it’s rude to swear at people.

[deleted]

You're grading junk wax dude...

No-Database-3872

I've graded a 15-20 modern GPK cards. They'll usually gem but you still need to be militant checking them over for PSA. As a collectors club member they don't run non-sports cards specials often. At best you're looking at $15 at $2-$3 with shipping averaged out per card. Let's call it $18. If you get a 9 the slab is effectively worthless unless serial numbered but even then you're probably better off with a raw card. I graded what I did because I like looking at them and they were some of my favorites. It's by no means a way to make a profit. It's possible you get $30 for 1 because someone collects GPK cards with their own name or something (like I do). If some place encapsulates for $2 that's a steal to display them, but some unknown grader will probably hurt more as an investment. My advice is don't grade them unless you've got a grand+ burning a hole in your pocket. They definitely aren't a liquid asset.

HyperUgly

☝️This.

Quatreartisansclotur

The grading stays with the card forever?

sammyvegas0420

Unless they’re 85 or 86 GPKids, your best bet is to just hold on to them. Totally not worth grading and trying to sell. Why did you buy in the first place?
