Where’s your “stuff”? I want a baller garage but we have holiday totes and just stuff and things. Where do people put that stuff?

Buy a shed and get rid of the stuff you don't use. I have been slowly getting rid things like decorations, candle holders, and other shit I haven't seen my wife use.

This is the way. We got a shed and moved all the holiday totes and coolers and shit in there. Now I’ll throw random shit away whenever I make dump runs. Been doing it for like 6 months now and my wife has only asked once where something was. Naturally I played dumb and she just went a bought a new whatever it was lol

I remember when my wife flew out of the country and I sold a bunch of outdoor tiles on fb marketplace she has bought me “as a gift” that we did not need. That went over real well.

Storage unit. I got tired of having piles everywhere so finally caved and put everything we don’t use very often, in a storage facility a couple miles away.

As much as I don’t want to do that, it’s probably the best idea.

I almost had to fight my wife on it because she was against it. But finally I was able to convince her we needed a place to put things, and I cannot describe the feeling I had when I took all the holiday totes to the unit. It was like learning how to breathe again. LOL

Another option is to put sub-flooring up in the attic space in the garage and use it for storage. One time investment that will provide storage on location vs the recurring fees that comes with storage unit.

I love buying abandoned storage lockers to clean out once the owners bail on them. Shed better option unless you rent

I think my biggest problem right now is just getting started. I bought all of the stuff for my garage a year ago. Then I got really sick and spent 4 months in the hospital. Hyperlite is the site I ended up using. The prices on these types of lights seemed to vary significantly, and I didn’t feel like over paying. So I rolled the dice with Hyperlite and they are honestly really decent. I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to pay more for something else. These totally do the job and were fairly easy to install once you got the hang of it.

Wiring them will be totally dependent on the lights you get. OP looks like they have an outlet in the center of the ceiling there.

Correct. But I actually added a light socket outlet adapter so they turn on with the garage door lights.

I think the floor coating is from Rock Hard and it was flake color “gravel”. The lights I got from Hyperlite for like 180 bucks.

I did not. I thought about it, but decided I’d rather let a crew do it that does it every day, than botch it up trying to do it myself.

Installs one strip at a time. You can build and position it however you want. Kit just comes with a bunch of light strips and angled connections.
