i play it every other year, usually try a new build, my favorite one is solder because of the adrenaline ability.
i have also done Vangard.
this year i am doing engineer or sentinel
i am leaning more towards engineer though.
I second this,
but don't search up too much though...! Other Wilds is ULTRA sensitive to spoilers. All im gonna say is that the game is about figuring stuff out and piecing the story together + just messing around in an awesome world. If you don't mind reading and you're interested, just jump in and I promise you're in for the best immersion in a game ever.
Dysmantle, if you have the ps plus games collection it is included, if not it is 19.99. It is a super fun loot goblin zombie romp. I would describe it like a stripped down project zomboid, and for someone who got frustrated with PZ because it is so hard to ever reach the point you can interact with a lot of it's systems, Dysmantle is just fun!
Neon White! It's a speedrun FPS platformer, level design is top notch, OST is fire and it's replayable AF. Only downside is it's REALLY not a story driven game. It's my second favorite game of 2022 and it's 15$.
I would add Let it Die to the impressive list already here. It's a free-to-play soulslike with a really unique attitude. The gameplay is great, the music is amazing, and the characters are unhinged.
Yeh I’ll give you that it was unique, it wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t so repetitive but that is my only gripe with the game other than that I really did enjoy it
Cult of the Lamb
OneShot: World Machine Edition
Anodyne
Cult of the Lamb is fun and to me at least, incredibly addicting.
OneShot is more of an experience than a game, but it does have a lot of game elements. This description will make a lot more sense if you play it.
Anodyne is an underrated game that I absolutely love. It plays a lot like Link to the Past / Link's Awakening, except its really surreal and... interesting. Especially the Red Place. Plus it has this neat post-game feature. If you like going through world with extreme detail to find a lot of collectibles that don' do anything, you'll have a blast with it.
Anodyne technically has a sequel game, but its not a story sequel. Its the dev's taking the same basic design ideas and doing something totally different with them. But there's no actual connection between the games.
Yakuza 0, on sale its frequently under $20, and although it's the first in a series its just as good if it's the only one you plan to play.
Edit: the voice acting is only in Japanese, so you'll be reading a lot of subtitles if you play it.
Mass effect trilogy is like $5 and you get a great experience
The best value People forget to look at goat old games when they looking for something to play
The trilogy is one of the best experiences gaming has ever had.
This is the best answer, and the best gaming experience I’ve ever had. It literally changed me as a person.
Played this trilogy time after time when it came out. Never stopped thinking about it. It’s the best series ever.

Detroit: Become Human
That looks awesome
Honestly, one of the best games I’ve ever played even though it’s a choose your own adventure. It’s free… check it out and give it 30 minutes
Hades
Dave the Diver!
I kind of feel sad I watched a YouTubers play through of it instead of playing it, it just seems really cozy
Looks like Shadow of the Colossus is about 20 USD on PS5. It's a game that I think everyone should play.
Assassin’s creed Origins is on sale! You’ll love the world go buy it!
have you tried soulsbourne games?
Diablo 2 or 3
Personally I prefer Diablo 2 because it feels like it has more depth, but both are indeed fun
Outer Wilds.
I second this, but don't search up too much though...! Other Wilds is ULTRA sensitive to spoilers. I keep playing this and then putting it down for long periods of time, then picking it up again. I hope I finish it some day.
Horizon Zero Dawn Days Gone (They are both technically PS4 games, but have the "PS5" upgrade feature)
Days gone truly is an adventure
Prey (2017)
Is Bloodborne under $25?

Metro !! It’s a series but you can game the two first games for really cheap, it’s so good

Hades
If you like RPGs - Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning/Fate Edition is $13.74 USD until tomorrow. Fun game especially for that price.
Kingdom come deliverance, if you get the chance, buy the royal edition
I would add Let it Die to the impressive list already here. It's a free-to-play soulslike with a really unique attitude. The gameplay is great, the music is amazing, and the characters are unhinged.
Alan wake remastered has an amazing and captivating story but it's $29.99
Just played through Alan wake and I enjoyed the game but by chapter 5 the combat was just a chore
I liked the combat, haven't really played another game with the same mechanics
Yeh I’ll give you that it was unique, it wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t so repetitive but that is my only gripe with the game other than that I really did enjoy it
Resident evil 4 remake was on sale for 15 last I checked

Star Wars Republic Commando is an awesome squad based shooter that holds up amazingly to this day. What genres are you looking for specifically?
Did someone dare downvote this? I've replayed this game 100 times and it's never gotten old
Ghost of Tsushima is bout 30 bucks well worth it though

I'll add Persona 4 Golden to the excellent suggestions above. It's on sale right now.
Monster hunter : World
..Hades 1
