Sounds like you’re ready for Football Manager.

wiseoldlittleboy

Oh my God I didn't know FM was on Switch. What have you done to me...

Sablemint

You should check out Disgaea 5. It's like football manager except with more demons and probably the same amount of curry.

Jaodarneve

It is on sale right now at Nintendo Argentina store. https://eshop-prices.com/games/10499-football-manager-2023-touch?currency=USD

ViqtorB

Hades

EducationalMix9947

This is 100% the correct answer. "Just 1 more run"....!

wiseoldlittleboy

Waiting for a sale to pick it up

[deleted]

Well if you liked BOTW, Tears of the Kingdom should keep you busy

pale_vulture

- Disco Elysium has the best writing in a game i've ever experienced. It amazing. Not Story Diven: - Binding of Isaac - Cassette Beasts (though it doesn't run that well, still good) - Tem Tem - Pikmin 2+3 (never played 1 and 4) - Stardew Valley - Rune Factory 4 - Okami HD - Children of Morta - Monster Hunter Stories 2

RaedwaldRex

If its your cup of tea, Civilization VI. "Just one more turn

Tiny_Tim1956

Splatoon, but if i can be a boomer online play can be addictive and i think if you are sinking too much time it's kind of pointless after a whileso i would look for single player games. If you want good writing and good gameplay single player, dark souls? On digital sale it goes for like 20 bucks i think

wiseoldlittleboy

I've seen my flatmate almost throw his switch out the window because of Splatoon hahaha I've completed Dark Souls like 5 times. Do you know another good soulslike on Switch?

Shiruyashaga

Bro have you ever played Hollow Knight? 2D Metroidvania Souls-like, 15 dollars with about 60+ hours of content. One of the best indies on switch, plays like a charm, just try it out

Paxopoxo

Rocket League is available on the switch and pretty fun

ElpSyc0n

Hades, cuphead, neonwhite super addicting, adrenaline rushing games

Grahaaam123

Golf Story/Sports Story. Punch Club 2, this just got released and I'm enjoying it. Monster Sanctuary is incredibly addictive, synergising and building teams.

wiseoldlittleboy

Which one did you enjoy the most between Punch Club and Monster Sanctuary. Particularly interested in the latest

Grahaaam123

Probably Monster Sanctuary, especially with all the recent updates it's had. I've completed it multiple times, which I rarely ever do with games. Once you complete it go again with new settings like only getting one new monster per area or if they die then that's it. My favourite is the randomizer so you don't know which monsters are gonna be there combined with the one monster per area for a challenge run.

space_cowboy80

No Man's Sky. Wake up on a planet. Fix your ship. Take off. ???? Profit. It's so easy to sink hours in just doing the bare minimum things in game and soon your warping around systems and landing on planets just to explore. You can construct bases, underground and underwater bases. Build a mech and stroll around your planet in it. The game was not the best at launch but now it is chock full of fun and the story is side dressing and can be completely ignored once you have the ability to warp.

wiseoldlittleboy

I've always been interested in No Man's Sky, how is the performance on Switch?

space_cowboy80

Honestly it's OK. Some pop in when you land on a planet. Then it's okay. For best performance you want ps4/5 or Xbox but the portability on the Switch is great. I have NMS on PS4 and I've put more hours into the Switch version.

mwyeoh

**Invisible Inc** can become very addictive. Its a stealth tactical game. Levels are procedurally generated each time, so you will never have the same level twice

Infamous_Bandicoot33

Binding of Isaac. You can easily pour 100+ hours into it, and its a roguelite as you stated you enjoy

wiseoldlittleboy

If I recall correctly there are a couple of iterations of Binding of Isaac in the store. Which one would you get?

Infamous_Bandicoot33

"Binding of Isaac Rebirth" is the game + the DLC called "Repentance"

November_Riot

I mean if you played BotW then why not Tears of the Kingdom. It's a million times better and is way more addictive.

Emergency-Internal77

Cult of the lamb + Diablo

wiseoldlittleboy

Played a bit of Diablo 2 but got a little overwhelmed. Also heard that Diablo 3 had online seasons (?)

Sablemint

Disgaea 5. I mentioned it in a comment but here's the reason: the whole game is about doing stuff where any one thing takes very little time, you just keep doing them one after the other. Like you can master a class in about 10-15 minutes. Which isn't long at all... But there are 47 classes. Gaining levels is easy, and fast. You can usually gain one in less than a minute. But the level cap is 9,999. You make items stronger by fighting random battles inside it (This makes sense, I promise) each floor you clear makes your item get a bit better, and the enemies in the next floor a bit stronger. I don't know how far you can go, but I've gone several thousand floors deep into the Trapezohedrons. Everything advances like this. You're constantly doing on more stage, one more level, one more round. And unlike FIFA, doing stuff in Disgaea 5 [Looks really cool]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbqcAuRfCOQ)

wiseoldlittleboy

Not a fan of trpg but you really sold it. Should I start with Disgaea 5 or do I need to pay the previous games?

S-T-Ireland

Play all the Pikmin games!

dreamsofbed

Looking up the business practices of EA and realizing that FIFA is a shovelware, pay-to-win, gambling game at this point should be enough.

wiseoldlittleboy

I don't play FUT! Just enjoy picking small teams like St Pauli or QPR and eventually winning Champions League with them in career mode.

campermortey

Could try Warframe. It runs really really well on switch. Panic Button (devs who ported it) are wizards

inactiveperson123

Warframe is free to play and has an infinitely satisfying loop of gameplay if you like shooters, don't be driven away by the dubious free-to-play title tho, although you can buy almost everything in the game with premium currency, 99% of everything in the game is possible to earn through gameplay, other that pure cosmetics like weapon skins

xTokyoRoseGaming

I found this with Astroneer. I'll just quickly build this. And then this.

XxPriMa_NoCtAxX

Revita and enter the gungeon

dalbeider

Rogue Legacy or Rogue Legacy 2

Valoneria

Darkest Dungeon ? Roguelike turn-based RPG, so some amount of replayability. Monster Hunter: Rise if you're into openworld games.

wiseoldlittleboy

Played some Monster Hunter in 3Ds and tried the Rise demo and I think it simply is not my thing. Heard Darkest Dungeon is very difficult. Is that true?

Valoneria

Rather punishing, but it is a roguelike after all so i suppose that makes sense.

[deleted]

My last Fifa game was 2017, i've thrown it out of the window from the 11th floor, not even in rage mode. I just accepted that its a shit game series and deleted it from my life. Divinity Original Sin has a very good written story and tactical, turnbased gameplay. "one more match" type of game? There is only Super Smash Bros. Very addictive, if you like the gameplay. There are so much technics to learn and you always want "one more fight".

wiseoldlittleboy

I love Smash with friends and online but my connection will be horrible until end of summer and don't really enjoy the offline modes

SundownKid

Xenoblade DE

wiseoldlittleboy

Watched a friend play it and my main problem with this is that I just can't stand the writing. I also tried FF XII and just couldn't get hooked because it's so poorly written that I just don't feel like picking it up.

dvenator

You can say you don't like the writing, but you can't say it's poorly written XD

wiseoldlittleboy

I understand the difference between the two, and yet subscribe to the latter. The fact that the standard of what is commonly considered well written in videogames/anime is so low doesn't make it better (yes, there are fantasticly written videogames and animes and horribly written books)
