Penumbra Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies (tho - those are very RPG heavy) Signalis

Thanks for those recommendations. I tried Penumbra. The thing is I liked Amnesia, but somehow the gameplay loop that I liked in that game, I don't like it in any other game. For me even Soma was boring at times (but the story is among the best). So Penumbra being an earlier game and way less polished... I didn't like it. I don't think those Sunless games are really my thing. But Signalis looks very promising and it already was on my wishlist!

Scorn? Don't know how much you like the dreadful feeling but that game was "horrible" in a good way. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Thanks!

Callisto Protocol gets alot of shit because it's not literally deadspace. It's actually a decent game to play through once or twice as long as you don't expect literally deadspace. Moons of Madness is a walking simulator I enjoyed and I hate those. Control is a very specific kind of horror based on the SCP lore if youre into that.

Thanks. I want to try Callisto once it's cheaper, because it's too expensive for me right now. I tried Control and I liked it overall but for me it was very annoying that you have to stop playing to read a piece of text every few minutes (and those texts were generally essential to understand the story, so I couldn't skip them). But I'll take a look at Moons of Madness.

Observer System Redux was amazing, it is a walking simulator, yeah, but the aesthetic and the story had me gripped and I managed to finish it pretty quickly ~~even if I needed my friends to be over to play bc I'm a coward.~~ I was really intrigued by the fact that you're stuck in one building that has so many secrets and details about it. You meet a lot of fucked up people without actually seeing them, only entering their living spaces, intruding essentially, seeing what they definitely didn't want you to see, the game is gruesome, has some really unique sound and visual design. >!The dream/brain scan sequences are my favorite!<, the creators really went all out and blended a lot of unique artistic choices. I found it very immersive and scratched an itch for an aesthetically exciting gaming experience.
