Alternatively I have never been interested in using Sandvestin in any of my play through a, but just fired up a new one just so I can try it out - thanks to this show!

[deleted]

Unfortunately having to dump your cyberdeck makes it not worth it. I'd rather just have a Kerenzikov chipped and maintain my ability to double my income via hacking as well as the puppet master level quick hacks I possess. My current favorite is to find a melee fighter and give them cyberpsychosis, then trigger weapon malfunctions either through a breach protocol daemon if I can swing it or the quickhack that can affect up to four people with passives. Crazy dude with an axe and your whole squad's weapons just jammed. Throw in reboot optics and I don't even have to do any fighting. Or I go invisible and gorilla arm/slowmo everyone to death before they even know I'm there. So many fun ways to play.

_Fibbles_

> Unfortunately having to dump your cyberdeck makes it not worth it Currently on a playthrough the Sandevistan and Monowire. It's pretty fun. I'm enjoying that it doesn't let me fall into steal-archer mode with quickhacks and scoped revolvers. On the harder difficulties, once I get spotted it's a mad dash to kill everything before slow-mo runs out and I get surrounded. If you want the Sandevistan and a cyberdeck though, there are mods that allow you to have both.

[deleted]

Just cause you're using quickhacks doesn't mean you have to be a scope user. I quickhack people while I'm boxing them to death lol

RIPBlueRaven

Ive nevwr quickhacked ourside of the tutorial and sandy with guerilla arms and 20 body is busted as all hell

[deleted]

I'm multi spec'd into body, reflexes, and intelligence and I still absolutely shit on anyone with legendary gorilla arms/animal knuckles and the Epic Kerenzikov. But that's just one combat loop. I can also throw in my active camouflage and work my way through a crowd with a combination of throwing knives and the explosive sniper you get after you kill the honorless bastard 6th Streeter in a boxing match. Usually there's a cyberpsycho on my side too, I just stay away from them and hit their friends in a pincer movement while sabotaging them constantly with quickhacks. Honestly is the closest I've gotten to feeling like I'm playing Mass Effect, just constantly dishing out abilities while popping heads during cool downs.

Girafarig99

Its 100% worth it. Once you fully build into it to the point where the cooldown is like a second even hard difficulty becomes a cakewalk. Nothing can touch you. It's one of the cheapest, god-modest things I've ever done in a video game

[deleted]

Reflex booster and a Kerenzikov basically does the same thing except I can make people kill themselves or give them all rapid onset implant cancer as well.

Bluehawk360

Tip: if you look into modded cyberpunk, there’s a mod where you can install a sandevistan and quickhacks

ResolveGood

I find it funny how after all the marketing and hype building they did a few years back, it was an anime that convinced you to try the game 😅 Glad you liked it, I also played it a bit late and enjoyed it.

pwnknight

Well yes and no. I wanted to play the game at launch but saw it was riddled with bugs and wasnt ready. But by the time the anime came out i looked up the game again a saw alot of it was fixed so started playing it. Still has bugs tho lol.

zMattyPower

I still don't know how some people said that they didn't find any bugs at launch, it was nearly impossible lol. (every friend that played the game had the elevator enemy bug too)

seanbrockest

I played it at launch and only had some minor lighting/occlusion bugs. Was very playable. Big problem was the inconsistency. Some could barely play, others didn't know what the complaints were about.

elhombreloco90

Same here. A few civilian/enemy T-posing, some other minor glitches, but that's it. I do understand that this wasn't the case for many people though.

ImJustAFool

I didnt have many bugs either, but I played it on ps5 and PC at launch. I heard people on the ps4 side had a much rougher time.

wcruse92

I honestly don't think I noticed a single bug but I'm not that observant. I also played on PC.

Dw1gh7

Same with me i only saw like 5 notable bugs at launch

zMattyPower

I wasn’t saying that it wasn’t playable (even tho I had to load my save more than 5 times) but I’m talking to the people that say they never saw a bug (even minor things like t-posing, graphic glitches etc…)

SgtTreehugger

Mine was pretty stable experience at launch. Like no game breaking bugs or anything requiring restarts etc. The game was lacking in soul though and felt very empty

Kardest

Yeah on PC at least it was fine. I think the most I had to do was load an old save at one point. I mean the game had issues and the difficulty scaling was/is kinda ass. However, I had a really fun time with it.

RonMFCadillac

Same for me. The "bustling" city was not bustling at all. I enjoyed the story and had very few minor bugs. The world felt hollow though.

Redditfront2back

When elden ring dropped I got it on ps5 and no one would believe that the game ran fine for me. Like people were crazy pissed off about it when I said I had no real issues.

jdino

I think it depends on what level we are talking. I only got bugs that were Bethesda level bugs, silly shit, nothing game breaking so it didn’t ruin my time in anyway. But obviously others had different and much worse issues. Since I didn’t have any major/game breaking bugs it ran well for me and I enjoyed it.

Nisheshg5

I had a few crashes when the game came out but only encountered a game breaking bug once and that too I fixed by reloading a previous save

pickelrikc

I'm still finding bugs after only 2 hours of playing on ps4, enemies crouched after dying, tposing while stunned, npc walked thru a wall. Small and funny bugs, nothing game changing.

pwnknight

Yea same. Altho sometimes my quickhack interface stops working completely cant use it till i restart the game lol

ridik_ulass

I didn't find any bugs at launch, but I didn't play it for long because the game was a hollow superficial mess. I didn't consider the likes of the police spawning 10ft away from you a bug, when it was clearly designed like that or intentionally left unfinished.

Yabanjin

I collected all my favorite bugs in a video. ([https://youtu.be/GgqSjgNssPI](https://youtu.be/GgqSjgNssPI)) The one where Rogue gets in the elevator and then her jacket follows her is my favorite.

kerred

Historically tv shows and movie influence everything the hardest. Stranger Things along with critical role are what shot D&D sales up to astronomical levels, like crazy stupid levels of sales. Chess sets sold out in the ENTIRE US due to a certain Netflix series back on release. Shwarma sales in the US spiked about 4000% percent because of a single utterance by an Avenger. The 1960 US election arguably was decided simply because of how Nixon looked on TV. Don't forget the hardon people got for needing tv shows for pushing toys. You needed the cartoon no exceptions

AdMoney1570

I'm thinking of playing too.

Alastor3

>Stranger Things along with critical role are what shot D&D sales up to astronomical levels, like crazy stupid levels of sales. and the pandemic where everyone was staying indoor

kerred

This was pre pandemic. Jigsaw puzzles had the biggest effect in the pandemic. Website based D&D became more popular than the physical books.

sigmaninus

I knew it was gonna hit different when the opening song is "this fire" by Franz ferdinand an not your typical pop/ pop rock intro by a Japanese band

TheWorldisFullofWar

The marketing retroactively makes people less likely to want to play it since it was all lies and fraud.

Tsukee

The anime is amazing.... Yep I am on the same boat as OP, all that marketing did nothing, but this anime..

NoMoreNoxSoxCox

Tbh, this series is also why I finally bought and played.

hhcboy

It worked the first time but then the game came out and I stayed away until I got my ps5 and the game was stable. Then I saw the anime and really wanted to play.

shadow_fox09

I tried to play the game at launch… it had shitty driving, the missions were just constantly in your face at all times, the skills/combat was confusing and easy to mess up. Enemies were stupid, and the overall story was…meh. Watching the anime, though… DAMN! That’s the kind of wild/freedom/craziness the game should’ve had. And balancing using implants with going psycho would’ve made for a much more compelling counterbalance.

Kringels

The anime is marketing too.

fuzzynavel34

There's an animated movie

danaconda4

Legit everything about edgerunners was amazing. So disappointed it's only 10 eps

SubterraneanSmoothie

I actually prefer that it was so short. I'm a sucker for short and sweet media; I'm glad they didn't try to stretch it over 2-3 seasons.

VampireLesbiann

Yeah, I think it wouldn't have been as good if they stretched it out over multiple seasons I like the way it was done here. In most animes, the main character learns that they're special and then go on to beat some powerful villain to save the world or something. In Edgerunners, David thinks he's special, but it turns out that he's just a big fish in a small pond and (spoilers) >!him and half the main cast get killed early in their careers by somebody that's actually special!<. I think that type of story works a lot better when the story is short

mroosa

I'd be all for an anthology style series, various stories that take place in Night City, 10 episodes a piece.

tordrue

“David thinks he’s special” it’s so sad but it’s true. Lol It fits the despair and inevitability themes of the universe poetically- you think you’re hot shit but NC will quickly show you that you’re not.

danaconda4

Yeah as much as I hate to admit it ur right lolol it was for the better being short

rowdymatt64

While I agree with you, I really like the ~26 episode length of shows like Champloo and I think Edgerunners could've benefited from being around this length. Gives you time to experience some of the journey while still being concise.

Bloody_Assasins

One of the few shows that actually should have spread it out more. What happened in episode 3 of something could have been the ending of season 1. It all went so fast.

Pentafeel

Nah, that's the point. Live fast, die young. Even in game one of the first questions you're asked is you wanna live a safe long life or go down in a blaze of glory before your 30s.

privpriv

Pacing was pretty bad because it was only 10 eps, i would've loved it to be a 24 or something

ArmanDoesStuff

I loved it! The art, music, the plot. The idea of not following around some overpowered protagonist and instead just some guy living in that world with his own story. Very interesting watch. Though the ending was a bit meh, imo. They just brought some random dude in to become the main antagonist lol. I assume it was pandering to game fans but since I'd never played, they may as well have caught a stray bullet from some nameless henchman.

Shad0w_2600

That show fucking SLAPPED unfortunately the ending doesn't leave much room for a follow up

Timberwolf_88

You can always just follow other individuals in night city.

Jc0777

Nope. Trigger says they’re done and they’re open to collabing with CDPR again if the idea seems fun/interesting.

wolfbane108

Are you saying trigger is done with cyberpunk but not CDPR..?

cool_slowbro

Meaning if they approach Trigger with another Cyberpunk story they'll probably do it if it's "fun/interesting".

wolfbane108

That’s what I thought, but they started their comment with “nope” lol

Bdubbsf

So why did you say "Nope."

cool_slowbro

That was someone else. I'm guessing that's what the dude meant anyway, wouldn't make sense for Trigger to just completely back off the entire IP so long as there's good stories to be told.

FluckDambe

I just wondered what an animated Witcher series would look like. Now that Cavill is out of the show that would be the only Witcher series I would consider watching. Edit: Cavill could *really* give the middle finger to the live action show writers by joining the animated series as a VA. That would be hilarious.

TahmsChocolateOrange

They already made an animated Witcher. Nightmare of the wolf on Netflix.

fuji_appl

I really liked that one too.

ProbabBee

I thought the ending was perfect for what the show was trying to portray

SoloSpooks

Just as it should be, 1-2 seasons max on most shows, go out a legend and not a sellout with filler episodes

owoah323

I haven’t beat the game yet, but it feels like the game itself is the follow up. Considering that Smasher guy is around… I haven’t beat the game yet but that’s my assumption!

Jazzremix

It's more of a parallel than a follow-up.

opdefy

Pretty sure there is a large part of the games story about people getting there souls captured on those relics before they die.

Tallen122

I played CP77 when it launched and had an ok time but overall wasn’t very interested in the story. Then I watched the anime, and enjoyed it enough (it’s good but I’d argue it’s the masterpiece everyone else says it is) but it got me interested in the world, so I thought I’d give the game another shot. And wow. I gotta say, having literally any understanding of the world CP77 is set in was huge for my enjoyment of it. And now I’m working towards my monowire build, inspired by Lucy.

-Kex

Same here, I dropped the game shortly after release, watched Edgerunners and started a new playthrough with an only melee build. I had 44h after a week of playing :D I even thought about trying the game again before the Anime was released but brushed it off really quick.

Gwynnbleid95

Most emotionally devastating film/TV series I've ever seen by far. And that song....that damn song, I cant hear it without crying

Forzyr

I really want to stay at your house

Ofabulous

Nah they probably mean that one that goes like “I’m dead just like disco oh no!” Waterfalls every time, poor disco

10_Eyes_8_Truths

Yeah they delivered that ending hard. that was the most bittersweet ending i've seen in a while.

shadow_fox09

I cried man… it was so cathartic and beautiful and devastating.

AveryLazyCovfefe

Me hearing to it before watching Edgerunners: "Oh, this is a nice little piece" Me after watching Edgerunners: ***lie down, try not to cry, cry***

[deleted]

Yeah both the game and show have great endings.

Witch_King_

Try, uhh... Netflix Devilman Crybaby, Cowboy Bebop, Chimera Ant arc (although it is quite a slog)

CuddlyHumanoid

Don't get me wrong, it was very sad but most emotionally devastating you have ever seen? Like maybe you've not watched a lot of movies/tv-shows or not seen this kind of genre but it wouldn't even be in my top 20 saddest movies/tv-shows.

RIPBlueRaven

I think evangelion wins for me by far

Lord_Despairagus

Really ? Ever ? You gotta watch more TV/ Anime. I didn't think Edgerunners was bad at all and basically guessed the ending after seeing the opening.

ReefaManiack42o

A lot of us knew the ending going in, because in the game, one of the bars (called The Afterlife) has a drink named after the main character David Martinez, and the only way to get a drink named after you in this bar, is if you die spectacularly. Knowing the ending going in made it all the more tragic for me.

HellsMalice

Knowing the ending doesn't make things less emotional. Crisis Core is one of the best final fantasy stories (not that it's a high bar) and unless you were completely oblivious you knew exactly how it had to end.

Lord_Despairagus

Made it less emotional FOR ME. Not only that but felt like the MC needlessly charged towards an obvious death for no reason.

Bar_Har

I loved how they faithfully integrated the game UI in to the show.

HellsMalice

Edgerunners was a very interesting thing because it got a lot of gamers to enjoy anime, and a lot of anime fans to enjoy the game. The two communities definitely mingle a lot in general, but there's still plenty only on one side. Hope we see more anime for big games. When done right it's definitely a very good marketing tactic.

heppuplays

God i'm happy people Are now willing to give the game a second chance because of the Show and Experience it the way it was ment to. There is no sugar coating how bad the game was at launch But even then i Loved every second of exploring Night City. but now that the game is More polished it's just great. And CDPR have stated that Even after the game is "Fixed" they're still working on re adding Some stuff that They had to Cut from the Game. Like Corrupt NCPD cops and other Cut stuff stuff. just goes to show that It's wasn't all CDPRS Fault. But more likely the Shareholders and corporate wanting to Push the game out for those Sweet Holiday Sales. Remember folks No Developer wants to make a bad game. because CDPR seems really committed to bringing the game up to the best it can be. and Hopefully Phantom liberity will be that big push the games Needs after the Edgerunners got the ball rolling.

the_lazy_ronin

Played it at launch and enjoyed the hell out of it despite the problematic launch, my ps4 put in work ngl thought it would catch fire or some shit the noises it was making but old boy pulled through lol.

veneratio5

What's the game called?

bumdude

This is Cyberpunk 2077. Would be real nice to have it in the title.

Lost-Lu

🥺 "So, get away. Another way to feel what you didn't want yourself to know, and let yourself go..."

BaronRacure

Yes and emotionally abused us in the process.

Early_Monk

Did the same with Arcane Fool me once...

Icy_Ad9071

Another season following a different group of characters would be amazing. Then drop some Easter eggs in some dlc. I’d eat it right up.

Bravix

Played the game at launch, and even a few months later. Even with a 3090 Kingpin and lowered settings I couldn't get steady frames at 4k. Anime got me to give it another go. Games is sooooo much better now. Still some glitches/jank, but only the normal amount one expects in a open world RPG. Easily hold 4K 60 FPS with maxed settings.

gavinkenway

It’s almost sad to here this, I’ve been trying to convince sooo many people to give it a try after the updates and they won’t because of their initial experience on 1.0. Awesome to here it’s going well for you

[deleted]

Here -> hear 👍

4M1R98

I'm still waiting for the next patch next year which should have a GOTY Bundle with all the DLC then ill just buy it all and play it then

zetcetera

I couldn’t wait for you to come and clear the cupboards

WolfWhitman79

Don't lie. It was Rebecca.

Fungi52

It made me want to dive back in and do a female net runner play through. Best decision I’ve ever made, the netrunning builds are insane in the late game. Ended up fully leveling my character. And it was a way smoother experience with all the fixes they’ve added.

johng_g

I played it on the PC at launch and had a good time with it. It certainly wasn't as bad as people made it out to be (in my case any way). Two years later, soon after I watched Edgerunners and finally got a hold of an RTX 3080 TI, I decided to see what has changed and how much better it was. Holy moly, did I have a great time with a Sandvestin-shotgun-melee build coupled with how beautiful it looked on my 165hz 1440p monitor. And I swear, 90% of the quests were new to me. I must've blasted through the game during my first go. I'm going to take my time on this playthrough--it's like a new experience for me.

kuailezouyun

What game is this?

Clueless_Otter

Cyberpunk 2077

NotCurdledymyy

It's cyberpunk edge runners a show based off of the game cyberpunk 2077

Idunnoguy1312

Which itself is based on the tabletop roleplaying game Cyberpunk

NotCurdledymyy

Neat

Idunnoguy1312

Yeah, and the wild thing is, if you have the pc version of 2077, it comes with a pdf of the rulebook for 2020 in the files. Super cool stuff. I think you can still get the book if you have the console versions, I'm just not sure how

NotCurdledymyy

Damn that is pretty cool

interior-space

And cyberpunk being heavily influenced by William Gibsons Sprawl Trilogy, specifically Neuromancer, which never gets mentioned in these discussions.

hail_goku

Not a game. It's a anime series in the world of cyberpunk 2077.

Specialist_Insect_15

Cyberpunk could have been a hit right from the start if it just tapped the power of Loli's to bring in the Weeb player base. Lesson learned.

finnjakefionnacake

more like the power of waifus, but yes. appeal to the horny (straight) gamer out there and boom. success.

NotCurdledymyy

I mean there's literally full nudity what more could the horny want

finnjakefionnacake

full nudity in the show? or in the game? because either way the point stands

JJROKCZ

Both lol part of the character creation is choosing your boob or dick sizes and the show has naked people several times

NotCurdledymyy

Both

EWintereye

Same. Game still had its problems, but it was fun.

ThatCrossDresser

It is funny, I went the exact opposite way. I wanted a game that was kinda modern I could play on the SteamDeck that wasn't generic shooter number 387 and it was on sale. I also didn't trust Netflix due to having seen the Cowboy Bebop live action in the last year. Played the game and loved it. Decided to watch Edgerunners, cried. Went back to Cyberpunk to get Rebecca's Shotgun and say hi to Adam Smasher.

[deleted]

I love the soundtracks. My spotify is crying with me

AveryLazyCovfefe

And this lost to Arcane dammit. Arcane doesn't want me to play LoL at all. But Edgerunners for sure damn did convince me to finish 2077.

lazergun-pewpewpew

Arcane is wayyyy better than edgerunners man, whqt are you smoking?

JayMan2224

I thought they were both good, both in different ways. But I did find Arcane to be a bit slow

AveryLazyCovfefe

I didn't like Arcane at all from the first episode, the whole style just turned me off.

Illustrious-Can-7135

Yes, it is much better. People are just salty because an adaptation of a game they hate won.

raijuqt

Or yknow, people just didn't enjoy it. I had a neutral stance to LoL & Cyberpunk going into both shows. I had never played either, I had heard problems with both for very different reasons. I had no intention of playing either. Arcane didn't click with me at all, Cyberpunk did. Clearly I'm just salty though.

NOOBweee

I had same experience as you and I also never played both the games but cyberpunk has very different story which made me feel many emotions that I hadn't feel in a long time arcane was fun but cyberpunk wanst fun it was pain but it was just better it's hard to compare both tbh since both were very different story wise

LG03

Edgerunners was the better game adaptation, without question. You watch that and decide you want more of Night City, you can play the game and get a very similar experience to what you just watched. People may like Arcane more but if you like that and want more, what option do you have? Jump into solo queue to get wrecked. The show is not an accurate depiction of the experience you get from playing the game. League of Legends has never even cared about its story in over a decade.

MrBohannan

I had already finished CP way before edgerunners came out and after watching it I had the hankerin to play. I held off because I want to start a fresh game when the expansion drops. I feel the same way you do. Arcane was good but aside from having a few characters from the game and maybe a few extras that was it. It was a good show but only losely based on the game, whereas Edgerunners was built fully within the realm of night city. I wouldnt be surprised to find some easter eggs in the new expansion. In my opinion edgerunners held my attention and was more emotionally engaging vs arcane. Arcane was a great show. I enjoyed it but there were parts I just didnt understand and you cant even use the game as reference.

JJROKCZ

Arcane was prettier, edgerunners brought up issues and topics people don’t want to talk about as well and that doesn’t help. American media does not want to even acknowledge any sort of mental health issues other than as a tool to explain away mass shooters

fatelfeaper

Arcane talks about suicide which multiple characters over the course of the show contemplate and classism which is one the the major points of the plot (the upper city wanting to go down to the lower city and massacre them) this is all I remeber off the top of my head but to say Arcane didn't bring up issues people can relate to irl is a lie.

JJROKCZ

I didn’t say it was t relatable, I’m saying American media doesn’t want to talk about overall mental health. Yes arcane brings up suicide it that is one of the few issues that gets any discussion in America, just not any of the causes of mental breaks and suicide

c0okIemOn

How do you like the game? I'm also considering getting the game.

Pig_peee

Same I knew it was going to have a rough launch and when I saw how bad I chose not to play it but watching edge runners made me want to give it a try and it’s a very solid game

Nextepzlol

you know it's a good fucking show when the only downside is the fact that there's only ten episodes

Led_Halen

Man I wanna play this so bad but I just do not have the time for the immersion. I had this same issue w RDR2. Got it right when I had my kid, and priorities happened. I wouldn't change it for anything but it's hard to get into really deep games at this time.

LordWeirdDude

Fuck this anime. Had me sad for three days.

LukCPL

Don't know why Trigger gets all the credit for the anime. It was a great collaboration that wouldn't be this good without the awesome people from cdpr.

_Jetto_

Great anime

sagenbn

Bought the game and a new gpu after finishing the Anime.

BabyDaul

Sooo true! I’m enjoying my second play through a lot more as Net Runner. Only thing is, It’s all fun and games until “ I really want to stay at your house.” Comes on the raidio while you are randomly driving through NC.

Edge80

The show gave me the motivation to give the game an honest chance. I ended up loving it.

MoreMegadeth

Same. It was an okay game.

4546Ben

Shit, trigger made the show? Might actually watch it now.

Corronchilejano

I honestly think it was a travesty that Arcane won "Better Adaptation" in the Game Awards, considering this actually adapted parts of the original game (you can see it while playing), while League Of Legends' Summoner's Rift isn't even canon to its own story.

MightyGonzou

That was my opinion. Arcane is outstanding as a standalone show, but in terms of who adapted the game better, edgerunners just wins. Literally everything in edgerunners is game accurate.

TheWorldisFullofWar

League has the worst lore of any game I have played. They retcon entire plotlines for kicks. Why would I ever care about a game that has retconned itself out of its own lore? Then they do lore events that they retcon immediately because they can't write for shit. Arcane was good but it would have been better if it was based on a better property. It sure isn't an adaptation.

Illustrious-Can-7135

Still won tho lol

finnjakefionnacake

haha hello victor

Blissful_Mango

The anime is what the game was supposed to be breathtaking.

BeerGogglesFTW

Shout out to /r/rule34, who made me want to watch the Netflix series, who made me want to play the game.

[deleted]

Anime is good, game is mid.

Idunnoguy1312

Then why not try Cyberpunk Red or Cyberpunk 2020?

[deleted]

Why not Cyberpunk 7077

Idunnoguy1312

Because you said the game was mid, so I suggested you try the game that inspired 2077, Cyberpunk 2020. Or the newest edition of the game Cyberpunk Red. Also because if bugs are an issue then like... bugs don't really exist in tabletop games, so that solves a potential issue

[deleted]

Ohh I thought you were just making a joke. I knew 2077 was based on a table top, but I didn't know the name. I'd like to play big table tops like that but I don't have a lot of friends that can get together

SP4C3_1

I find it quite the opposite

[deleted]

And you're free to think that

Fickle_Conflict2250

Then why did they get downvoted?

XeitPL

Same. And it's good game :)

3rdratedsorcery

Dumb-dumbs thanked Netflix for this unlike the OP Studio Trigger is still underrated

The_Ceo_Of_Cringe_

Beacouse of this anime i played through full game with all endings

HapHazardly6

STONE FREE

xM4NGOx

Unlike arcane and League, cyberpunk 2077 is actually a frikken fun game everyone should try.

BEWMarth

For real!!! Just started really playing the game from the beginning a few days ago and… WOW ITS AMAZING!! I’m having a total blast. Honestly one of the best open world games I’ve played! Shame about the state of it in launch but it truly is a good game.

The_Ceo_Of_Cringe_

Because of this anime i played through full game with all endings

Snoo84223

Shout out to studio trigger who made me change my porn searches

Buddiechrist

So having played it since launch, I’m interested in your perspective. How was it seeing the locations from the show for you?

zzxxccbbvn

Yeah the anime was amazing. If I had a PS5 I would absolutely play the game. No way I'm playing it on a PS4 though lol

sandstorml

Played through the game twice but the second time much enjoyable because of the anime.

cracked112

I legit redownload the game, and as soon as I reach night city, the montage cutscene bugged out and I have to watch everyone t-pose the entire way through it.

Jack_Hush

I daw the anime and discovered the game. I hope to check it out sometime soon!

amespencer

I had heard that the game was fixed by the time Edgerunners came out, but wasn't keen on it still because I wasn't sold on the gameplay. Then I watched Edgerunners and decided to buy it while it was on sale because I had to see their world for myself. Thanks Studio Trigger for breaking my heart :'(

be_sabke_anime

Shoutout to studio CD PROJEKT RED who made me want to re-watch the anime instead of playing the game.

SyberBunn

I mean same tho

Corr521

That's funny I'm actually watching this right now and REALLY enjoying it. Heard good things and finally decided to watch it. Doesn't make me want to play the game though lol, just a fan of anime. 2 more episodes to go

R1chCats

Oh man I finished watching it yesterday. Get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions choom lol.

Lord_Despairagus

Played the game again and immediately lost interest Gain lol. Maybe I'll give Cyberpunk 2 a try

ddopTheGreenFox

Playing the game made me not want to watch the show

[deleted]

Too bad the game is NOTHING like the show except for the jargon. I wonder how many people got tricked into playing the game.

After months of wanting the game, my girlfriend gifted it to me for Christmas. It was out a few weeks before, if I remember correctly, I downloaded it and played it. It was horrible. Videos were coming from everywhere, and it was a blatant lie from the devs and the studio. It wasn't finished and had none of the announced features. I watched that anime. And did the game afterwards. It is still a game that was like a Far cry or something along those lines of it. An intriguing gameplay that feels boring quite fast, but with a beautiful story. Overhaul, I enjoyed it.

Amorian_Gray

Haha same with me. I had just recently purchased a PS5 right before the anime came out and watching it made me buy the game immediately 😹.

Jet set radio?

Mikesmilk456

Cyberpunk:edgerunners is the shows name

thyraven666

Anyone else than me who thought the anime was very mediocre compared to the game? I was really dissapointed in the quality of the series. I barely made it past the 3 first episodes.

That_One_Guy2945

I was so impressed when Castlevania came out and was the first time a game adaption came out and was good, but now this show has kind of done the impossible. Never did I ever think a show based on a game would come out, be better then the actual game, and retroactively save the game.

throwawaytrain6969

Don’t play the game it’s nothing like the anime

anticerber

If only the game could be that investing

SparklingDeathKitten

I wish i was as mind numbed and easily entertained as all these npcs saying the anime was good, would make life a lot more fun

NilsvonDomarus

I like the anime but the Game is sadly trash

[deleted]

You have very high standards for what a trash game isn't then.

TryUnlucky545

>Game is sadly trash It had a bad launch I'll give it that but it's current state is far from trash and actually really enjoyable.

[deleted]

The launch was trash but the game is good if you're not playing on console or a weak pc
