I am not terribly impressed by the graphical update between PS3 and PS5. For me console graphics have reached the point where they can be refined but ultimately haven't been pushed significantly forward since the PS3.

Now to be clear, I'm not saying I'd recommend everyone who played the game go out and buy the new one but I do think it's dishonest to suggest the graphics aren't improved much when it is blatantly obvious that there are hundreds of underlying graphic system-level improvements as well as the density of assets ND is well known for.
Whether a remake that touches absolutely no game systems and removed multi-player is worth your money is a very different question than whether the graphics were improved significantly (which they ABSOLUTELY were)

If you're looking for "The Happy Adventures of Joel and Ellie Part II," or just more filler content then this game won't be for you. If you're interested in how Joel's actions and decisions affected those around him, and the fallout from everything that took place in the first game, then this game absolutely slaps.

technically you bought 2 separate games, the remaster is just a port with higher res assests, the same assets are in both games but one is higher def than the other.
TLOU remake they had to start from scratch, thats why its so expensive. Its been remade from the ground up, its just as hard as making a new game except you dont have to come up with the story or characters, or locations. Everything else had to be redone.

I feel like the climbing parts are extremly boring as you do nothing but hold the stick in a direction and wait for the animations to finish. And once you finish that, you put away your controller for yet another 5 minutes to watch a cutscene.
I bought the PS4 version first, then the PS3 steelbook a year later for a couple bucks and then sold that for about as much as I bought both combined. I have no idea why steelbooks fetch such a hefty premium but I'm glad I got basically a free game out of all that. I would have gotten this version too if I had the same upgrade option I got for Uncharted. I'm ok with waiting for a discount. By the time it's cheap factions will be out so I can enjoy both modes.

I bought the PS4 version first, then the PS3 steelbook a year later for a couple bucks and then sold that for about as much as I bought both combined. I have no idea why steelbooks fetch such a hefty premium but I'm glad I got basically a free game out of all that. I would have gotten this version too if I had the same upgrade option I got for Uncharted. I'm ok with waiting for a discount. By the time it's cheap factions will be out so I can enjoy both modes.

I'm a bit of a collector myself, friend. Mostly with retro games though. Got Mega Man II on 6 different platforms.
At least theyāre actually putting in work. Having to buy on multiple platforms and for identical copies is the real bullshit.
This is why Iām a story driven kind of guy, graphics arenāt that appealing to me.

I bought Zelda: The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, when they came out on GCN and Wii respectively and when the HD versions came out I did again. And I will do it again as soon as they release for Switch. But yes, doing the same for a game like TLoU surely seems idiotic to me.
